I Created a Sanctuary in Marvel

Chapter 17 The Sensational Underground World

"what!"

"Please, please, let me go..."

"That matter really has nothing to do with us..."

A vampire, covered in blood, knelt on the cold, smooth ground, pleading humbly. His voice trembled, and his eyes were filled with fear.

Clarisse remained expressionless, her eyes as cold as ice. Without the slightest hesitation, she unleashed a clean and decisive punch, instantly engulfing her opponent in blazing flames and reducing him to ashes that vanished into thin air.

With the fall of the last vampire, the entire bar fell into a deathly silence. The stench of blood mingled with the smell of burning flesh, permeating the oppressive space.

"Your Majesty, the mission is complete." Clarisse walked out of the bar and said to Ye Feng, who was standing at the door. The portal they had just used opened precisely at the bar entrance, accurate and efficient.

"Clatter..."

Ye Feng snapped his fingers, and the surrounding elements instantly came to life, a holy light enveloping the entire alley. The dark and damp alley was purified, leaving not a trace of blood or a fight, as if nothing had ever happened.

"Let's go, we've done a good deed," Ye Feng said calmly, turning and walking out of the alley.

The two figures walked further and further into the alley, eventually disappearing into the night. The secluded alley returned to its usual silence, but in the underworld, this caused a huge uproar.

"Have you heard? The vampire hunting party was wiped out!"

"It was the Vatican that did it."

"Is the Vatican that powerful?"

"That's the mutant who had a bounty on his head before..."

Discussions were rampant, and the news spread like wildfire through the underground world.

The vampires' defeat drew significant attention from various factions. The vampire hunting team, renowned throughout the underworld, was annihilated by a mere two members of the Holy See, despite being fully armed – a truly unbelievable situation.

"Has he grown to this level?" In a dark corner, someone who had been watching Ye Feng closely received the message, took out his phone with a serious expression, and dialed a few numbers.

The conflict between the vampires and the Holy See has stirred up a storm in the underworld, with undercurrents swirling beneath the surface. Even high-ranking officials in some countries have begun to take notice of the friction between the two sides, putting pressure on both the Holy See and the vampires in hopes that the situation will not escalate.

If supernatural powers were exposed, it would inevitably cause social unrest. Even the existence of mutants has always been suppressed by various forces, let alone the more secretive dark creatures.

However, the old pope's response was unusually strong.

The choice is either hand over the murderer who massacred the church, or the vampires and the Vatican will go to war. Faced with this spiritual leader of hundreds of millions of believers worldwide, even high-ranking officials in some countries dare not be negligent.

Some have suggested assassinating the Pope, but the idea was quickly rejected. The assassination of the Pope would be far more sensational than the assassination of a prime minister; Catholics worldwide would riot, and the country that issued the order would face international isolation. This illustrates the unique position of Catholicism in the world.

The top floor of a skyscraper in New York City, USA.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

"Why is that bastard still alive?"

"They've even become a member of the Vatican!"

Inside the luxurious office, a middle-aged man in an expensive suit roared angrily, sweeping documents off his desk. His face was contorted with rage, and his eyes were filled with murderous intent.

"Boss, the most urgent thing is to find a way to kill that mutant."

"The other party is currently on a mission in the United States and has clashed with the vampires. This is an excellent opportunity."

The assistant beside him adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and calmly analyzed the situation.

The lab was bombed and the data destroyed, but that doesn't mean we're safe. After all, mutant abilities are incredibly diverse, and one called telepathy can even read and alter memories—it's quite terrifying.

The middle-aged man dared not gamble. He was wealthy and didn't want to put himself in danger. He wanted to eliminate even the slightest possibility.

"Get me in touch with the Hand."

"Let them name their price, and kill that guy."

The man finally calmed down, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes.

The bounty previously placed in the underworld was now practically meaningless. Those who had initially harbored some interest in Ye Feng quickly backed down after witnessing his conflict with the vampires. Adding another bounty would risk exposing themselves, so he turned to the infamous assassination organization… the Hand.

Those places were full of ninjas skilled in assassination; even mutants and superhumans had lost their lives at their hands. This was the best solution he could think of at the moment.

"Understood, I'll take care of it right away." The assistant bowed and left the office.

The middle-aged man slumped in his leather office chair, muttering to himself, "Ye Feng..." His words were full of fear and anger.

Meanwhile, in a secluded vampire castle, the atmosphere was equally heavy.

The hunting team leader returned severely wounded, and the news he brought enraged the high-ranking elders of the vampire clan.

"The Vatican..." an elder said through gritted teeth, his aged face clouded with gloom.

They never expected that the Vatican, which had remained silent until now, would make such a stunning move. The mutant named Ye Feng hadn't even made a move yet; he had defeated the elite vampire hunting team with just one woman.

"Bang!"

Just then, the door was violently pushed open. A group of vampires with a brutal and sinister aura walked in, led by Deacon Frost, the leader of the half-vampires.

"I heard you've encountered some difficulties. Do you need any help?" Deacon revealed a sinister smile, looking at the elders present with a mocking gaze.

"Who let you in?"

"This is a meeting of pureblood vampires; it's not something you can participate in!"

An elder slammed his fist on the table and stood up.

The vampire elders, already troubled by the affairs of the Holy See, were instantly enraged. A half-vampire daring to challenge their authority was absolutely intolerable.

"A pureblood vampire?" Deacon scoffed.

"You bunch of incompetent fools?"

"If you weren't still useful to me, do you think you'd still be here giving orders?"

His eyes suddenly turned violent.

As he spoke, he raised his hand and grabbed an elder's head, the force of which caused the elder to groan in pain.

"What do you want to do?" The elder sitting in the center took a deep breath and asked, trying to remain calm. The situation seemed to be spiraling out of control.

"The vampire clan has reached a point where reform is imperative."

"You lot have lived for countless years, yet you've made no contribution to the vampire race. The so-called pureblood vampires are nothing but a joke."

"Deacon said coldly."

He surveyed his surroundings, his voice carrying an undeniable authority: "Your only value is to become the cornerstone of my path to becoming stronger."

Deacon's men have taken control of the entire situation, and all the vampire elders are now under their control.

"What exactly do you want?"

"Do you really think you can control the vampires by killing us? How naive!"

The elders in the central government spoke up again.

"Hehe... Hahahaha!!" Deacon let out a maniacal laugh.

"Do you know how much I sacrificed to achieve my long-cherished wish?"

His eyes turned fanatical: "Now, it's your turn to contribute to the vampire race."

Deacon signaled to his men to take all the elders away. The elders did not resist, perhaps believing that Deacon dared not truly kill them and must have other plans.

Little did they know, they had become sacrifices in a terrible ritual.

After all the vampire elders were taken away, Deacon took out a yellowed parchment from his pocket, his eyes flashing with madness.

"The Blood God Sacrifice Ritual..."

"If I succeed, I will gain power comparable to Dracula."

He read the words aloud, a twisted smile spreading across his lips.

His voice rose higher, filled with ambition and desire: "What vampires? I will be the new king of the world!"

This parchment is a fragment of the Dark Book. Deacon expended countless resources and manpower, searching the world for decades to obtain this fragment, and now he has finally succeeded...
