Chapter 76 Price (Please Subscribe!)

Inside the breeding house, Xiao Mao looked at Fang Yan, whose face was full of smiles.

He opened his mouth and asked:

"Manager, as far as I know, this amount of money isn't enough to buy a Pokémon, is it?"

Fang Yan handed the money to Gengar, then slowly began to speak:

"This is a commission fee. We charge a commission fee after finding a suitable trainer or ordinary person for a Pokémon. It is not the price at which we sell them."

Fang Yan patted Shana's head and continued:

"Didn't I tell you? They're not from the breeding house; they're free."

After speaking in dialect, he walked towards the backyard.

"But the agency fee—"

Before Xiao Mao could finish speaking, he saw the smile on Fang Yan's face.

He suddenly understood.

Agency fees can be very expensive or very cheap.

Everything depends on the situation.

Xiao Mao couldn't help but laugh.

"Manager, you really are something else!" He shook his head and followed behind Fang Yan.

Fang Yan handed the front desk to Gothic Boy, Monini, and Lilyroot Doll, three Pokémon.

He then led Shigeru and Shana into the backyard.

He plans to add some recreational facilities to the backyard.

This will give these Pokémon and Shana more places to play.

For example, you could build a small diving platform next to a lake, where Marill and Psyduck can climb up and start diving.

You can also build a seesaw under the swing tree.

After a quick glance at the dialect, I had a general idea in mind.

Construction will begin in a few days.

Then he turned to look at Xiao Mao.

"Are you curious about the forest?"

Xiao Mao hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"Alright, let's have dinner at the Forest Lake tonight."

"ah?!"

While Gary was still wondering, Shana and Gengar had already run towards the kitchen.

After everything was ready, the group of Pokémon and their companions carried the things and headed towards the forest.

As Gary walked through the forest, he discovered that the Pokémon there didn't run away like those in other forests when they saw people; instead, they would stop and look at them.

Some Pokémon might even run over and join the party, walking forward together.

Arriving at the lake in the forest, Fang Yan put down his mat, and many Pokémon surrounded him on the trees and grass.

After taking out the food and setting it aside, Fang Yan started eating first.

Then Shana and Gengar started eating too.

Fang Yan ate his dinner with great satisfaction. He had grown to love the atmosphere ever since he last came here.

Having dinner in the forest with loved ones and Pokémon, surrounded by a group of adorable Pokémon, no one bothers anyone, living in peace.

so comfy.

Xiao Mao picked up a roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), took a bite, and squinted his eyes as he savored the juices in his mouth.

He then looked around at the Pokémon playing and eating in the forest. They weren't afraid of his group. Although a few Aipom occasionally liked to play pranks, this was the first time he had experienced such peaceful coexistence.

In other forests, Pokémon might come over, but there would never be as many as there are now. Most of them would just watch you warily from a distance, or ignore you altogether. That's the norm.

But once we get to this forest, it seems like this way of interacting between humans and Pokémon is the normal thing to do?

Xiao Mao couldn't understand it.

Indeed, there is still a lot I need to learn.

Regarding how to manage one's relationship with Pokémon.

Xiao Mao thought to himself.

"Do you know why this is? They aren't afraid of us."

At this moment, Fang Yan swallowed the food in his mouth and then asked.

Xiao Mao shook his head.

"Because I saved this forest along with them."

Fang Yan recounted what had happened, and Xiao Mao's eyes were filled with shock.

"Therefore, Pokémon are creatures that rarely betray the kindness others have for them."

"So, if you want to study Pokémon, why not first show them your love? They will reciprocate your love, which might be a good option for studying Pokémon."

Xiao Mao lowered his head, thought silently for a while, and then raised his head.

"I understand, thank you, manager."

Fang Yan smiled but didn't say anything more.

Enjoy your dinner.

Shana and the Pokémon at the breeding center seemed to enjoy the atmosphere, quietly eating dinner with Fang Yan without anyone saying a word.

Occasionally, Shana would share some of her food with the Pokémon in the forest. Vulpix, Lilyroot, and Roselia would play with the Pokémon in the forest, and their cheerful laughter would be heard from time to time.

Then there's Monini, who curiously collected a whole bunch of things and asked Fangyan to teach her which ones were edible and which ones weren't, while Gothic Boy watched her with concern, letting her run around as she pleased.

She cares for her younger brother like an older sister.

The queen bee finished her dinner early and flew back to the hive, while the mullet preened its feathers as usual.

After finishing his meal, Fang Yan watched them playing and reached out to pick up one of the Patchles that was not far away.

Pachlitz: ?!

Then gently stroke its soft fur.

He picked Patchlitz up, pressed his face close to Patchlitz's, and took a deep breath.

Pachilis: Mom, there's a pervert!!!

After being put down, Patchlitz quickly jumped up into the tree, still holding the last piece of fruit in its hand, and warily watched Fang Yan sitting below.

This is why Fang Yan loves this forest so much; it's full of fluffy creatures, and after a meal, he can easily pick one up and pet it.

After tidying up, the group headed towards the breeding house under the moonlight, with Sweet Firefly and Electric Firefly leading the way.

Pachirisu, Buddleja, Oddish, Aipom, and Bibarel, among other Pokémon, accompanied them as they left the forest.

Standing at the entrance to the forest, I watched their figures disappear into the moonlight.

They then turned and dispersed, each heading in their own direction.

Shana was being carried on Fang Yan's back; she was fast asleep.

Xiao Mao stayed by Fang Yan's side without saying a word.

And so, without a word, they returned to the breeding house. Fang Yan put Shana on the bed and covered her and Lingdangxiang with blankets.

It's worth noting that the Poison Rose seems to have become friends with Shana, and it's currently sleeping in Shana's room.

Monini's little bed was also moved over with Gothic Boy and placed next to Shana's bed.

When Fang Yan left Shana's room, he picked up Liuwei and turned off the lights for them.

Goodnight, Shana, and everyone.

"Gothic~"

The Gothic boy's voice rang out softly, assuring Fang Yan that it would take good care of them.

Fang Yan went downstairs and found Xiao Mao sitting in the rest area, tidying something up.

Then Fang Yan went to the kitchen and made two cups of honey water.

He walked to the rest area, sat down, handed a cup to Xiao Mao, and started discussing the arena match with him.

Afterwards, from the perspective of a trainer, Xiao Mao gave Fang Yan a lot of advice.

Fang Yan nodded, then patted him on the shoulder.

Get some rest.

Then I went upstairs.

Xiao Mao glanced at the Umbreon lying next to him, looked at Fang Yan's back, and then at the honey water in his hand.

"Strange, why does it not taste as sweet as the one the Queen Bee gave me?"

"Huh? What did you say?"

"No, no!"

Seeing Fang Yan suddenly turn around, Xiao Mao quickly shook his head.

"oh."

Fang Yan turned around and continued upstairs.

"That was terrifying, we almost got caught."

As Xiao Mao watched Fang Yan's figure disappear, he patted his chest, looked at the Umbreon at his feet, and breathed a sigh of relief.
