Lorne's mind went blank.

The world became exceptionally quiet, with only the rushing of the river and the rustling of the thatch grass swaying from side to side.

And Lauren's enthusiastic calls of "Lorne".

He didn't know how Rudolph, Lauren, and Nina got into this folded space.

Did you come for the Tears of the Elves? Or for yourself?

Cold sweat broke out on Lorne's back. He stood there, at a loss for what to do.

His relationship with those people wasn't particularly good.

Whether facing elemental upheavals or choosing a wizard's artifact in an underground cavern.

They only temporarily came together to work towards a common goal.

Apart from that, there were no particularly deep bonds or strong friendships.

Simply put, it's because of shared interests.

Now, Lorne no longer needs the high-grade magic crystal required to complete the bounty.

His initial idea was simply to earn some magic crystals to buy some mental enhancement potions.

Mia is currently helping him refine them, and Lorne's introduction to runic literature has given him the ability to earn magic crystals on his own.

After losing their shared goal, Lorne didn't know how to get along with them.

"Lorne! I've finally found you."

In a brief moment of distraction, Lauren had already run down the grassland, waded across the stream, and given Lorne a tight hug.

"Long time no see." Lorne forced a smile.

"Long time no see." Rudolph patted Lorne on the shoulder, his gaze appraising.

My gaze lingered on the ornately embroidered ceremonial robe he was wearing.

"It seems you're not doing too badly lately."

Rudolf's gloomy expression seemed to say: We were so worried about you, but it turns out you've been doing quite well lately.

Lorne's smile froze for a moment before he asked, "What happened after that day?"

He was referring to where the two were teleported to and how they reunited after taking the wizard's artifact and triggering a random teleportation.

"I was teleported to the energy tide zone," Lauren explained first.

"The place is filled with all sorts of different energy particles, constantly fluctuating and changing like the tides, making it extremely dangerous."

"Fortunately, I did not encounter any extraordinary beings, and the place I was teleported to was not far from the boundary of the fire element zone."

"It took me a day to get out of there and back to the fire elemental zone."

He's still a little scared: "Luckily, the fire elemental riots have subsided, otherwise you probably wouldn't be seeing me."

"It's good that you're alright." Lorne patted Lauren on the back, gently comforting her.

On the surface, they seem very kind, but inside they really want to complain.

If he and Rudolf hadn't insisted on acquiring the wizard's artifact, would the random teleportation have been triggered?

I was just implicated by them.

He felt utterly helpless, but he couldn't entirely blame Lauren; the real culprit was Rudolph.

His excessive greed for the wizard's artifacts led Lauren to break the protective array of the artifacts.

Rudolf, as if guessing what Lorne was thinking, spread his hands: "The wizarding artifact was lost during the random teleportation."

"When I woke up, I was still in the fire elemental zone. The elemental turmoil had subsided, and the wizard's artifacts had disappeared."

"Without a map, I had no idea where I was," he explained. "Lauren was the first to find me."

Being too greedy will only lead to nothing in the end... Lorne sneered inwardly.

The loss of the wizard's artifact is a good thing; Rudolph's efforts have come to nothing, and Lauren will no longer argue with him about it.

The owner of the ritual implement will not retaliate against himself.

Lorne was gloating.

But then again, how did Lauren find her?

The spatial folding array was set up by Sodrion, who was at least at the level of a formal wizard, while Lauren was just a wizarding apprentice.

"Lauren, how did you find me?" Lorne couldn't suppress his doubts.

Lauren looked embarrassed: "I left a mental mark on everyone, and anyone within a certain range can sense it."

A mental imprint? No wonder... Lorne's heart sank to the bottom, and his face instantly turned gloomy.

They were also relieved that they were only looking for themselves and had not discovered any trace of the elves.

"But don't worry," Lauren quickly waved her hand and explained:

"The mental imprint only lasts for one day and disappears very early."

"The reason I was able to find this place is because I sensed it once when I was in the Elemental Tide Zone, and I know the approximate location."

He scratched his head:

"However, the entrance to this folding space is really well hidden. It took Rudolf, Nina, and me a long time to find it."

"Where is this place?" Lauren realized that this folded space was unusual.

Rudolf looked in the direction of the poplar grove: "There seems to be a village in there."

Lorne didn't have time to think about the mental imprint; his first thought was: Rudolf and the others absolutely cannot be allowed into the poplar forest!

If they were to find the elves of the Kenlar tribe, who knows what might happen.

Fortunately, the group had entered the folded space in search of themselves and were unfamiliar with it.

"Lauren," Rudolph instinctively instructed Lauren, "come with me to take a look."

Lauren remained unmoved, somewhat puzzled: "Lorne has been here for a long time, he should know the layout of this place very well, right?"

"Yes," Lorne said calmly, "it's a settlement inside."

"A settlement?" Rudolf observed Lorne's expression with suspicion.

"A group of orcs lives there." Lorne remained unmoved and started spouting nonsense:

"I was captured as soon as I was teleported here. They only released me after I showed my strength and gave me a ceremonial robe as compensation."

"Nothing special, most of them are just guys who only know how to use brute force."

Rudolf's suspicion lessened somewhat; orcs worshipped power and followed the path of bloodline wizards or body-refining wizards.

The systems were chaotic, the cultivation methods were inconsistent, and most of them had ferocious and terrifying appearances.

Upon realizing this, his inquisitive mind vanished completely.

Going in and seeing a huge group of bare-chested, fanged, ugly orcs wasn't very interesting.

"The bounty is not yet complete; so far, not even a trace of the Kenlar elves has been found."

Rudolf was furious: "Now that the person has been found, let's speed up the journey!"

After returning to the apprentice area to replenish their items and supplies, the group set off on their journey to find Lorne.

It cost a lot of magic crystals, and the bounty is still nowhere in sight. How can I not be angry?

Lorne breathed a sigh of relief; it was truly unexpected that several people had come all the way to find him.

At least remember yourself and care about your own life or death.

But I'm sorry, there are some things I'm destined not to tell you...

He also wanted to explain to the group that the Kenlar elves were not evil, unlike what Lady Elena had described, and that she had a special purpose in mind!

But Lorne dared not gamble; how would they choose between conscience and desire?

"Leave here." Rudolf had already begun his journey back.

Lauren then added, "The exit of the folded space is on the grassland."

"Let's go, Lorne," Nina said softly as she turned around.

"Okay." Lorne glanced back at the poplar grove.

There wasn't even time to say goodbye to the little guy; I hadn't even gotten my hands on the low-level Starshine Potion yet.

However, the most important thing right now is to get Rudolf and the others out of this folded space.

Anyway, I've already gotten the basics of runeology, so I'll buy it when I earn some magic crystals.

They also need to subsidize Rudolf and his group with some magic crystals, as they wasted a lot of magic crystals, and in the end, they couldn't complete the bounty themselves.

It takes time and effort to decipher the magic array, and finding oneself within the folded space is no easy feat...

Lorne was making plans in his mind.

After wading across the stream, we were about to head towards the grassland.

A rustling sound came from the thatch behind us, and a little girl's face peeked out.

"Brother Lorne!"
