Mia can concoct potions? A fragment of memory suddenly flashed through Lorne's mind.

That was the first time I tried to inscribe runes; I lay down to rest because my mental energy was completely exhausted.

Then Mia held a bottle of mental energy recovery potion for herself.

At the time, Lorne naturally assumed that the little guy came from Sodrion.

After all, who would have thought that a little elf would be able to concoct potions on its own?

It's truly a case of "the mountains and rivers seem to block the way, but then a new village appears amidst the willows and flowers!" Lorne happily picked up Mia and spun her around.

"Your Highness, you are truly my savior!"

Now we don't need to worry about the spirit-enhancing potion anymore; we can just focus on the Black Sun Meditation and attribute points.

Mia hadn't quite figured out what was going on, but seeing Lorne so overjoyed, she also opened her little hands and smiled happily.

Leodan stood to the side with a sullen face.

After the initial excitement subsided, Lorne put Mia down: "Your Highness, would you be willing to help me concoct a few bottles of spirit-enhancing potions?"

"Mmm!" Mia nodded her little head willingly.

"Then let's hurry up and make the potion." Lorne couldn't wait.

"Wait a minute." Sodrion leaned on his cane. "The Death Knight fell apart after losing contact with the testing grounds."

He pushed open the door first: "You can see if those materials are helpful to you."

Lorne thought of the runic greatsword.

Finally, it was time to tally up the spoils. This was probably its most valuable possession...

Leaving the treehouse via the spiral staircase and descending, you soon arrive at the platform where you will fight the Death Knight.

The three thick crystal pillars on the magic circle had lost their luster.

"The magic circle was set up here to prevent our people from accidentally touching it," Sodrion explained casually.

Lorne immediately spotted the rune greatsword stuck in the floor; he was just missing a suitable weapon.

Looking at the sword hilt that was almost touching his neck, Lorne fell silent.

From any perspective, this weapon is not suitable for him.

Even just holding it up is a problem.

Sodrion smiled. "This isn't a very good weapon."

"Let's see what we can find here," it said, pointing to the pile of armor fragments on the ground.

Lorne then started rummaging through a pile of armor.

This suit of armor has clearly been through countless battles and is covered in scars.

There are traces of corrosion on it, I wonder if it's because of the black aura emanating from the Death Knight.

It's no longer wearable, and the size doesn't fit.

It was engraved with ancient runes, but unfortunately Lorne couldn't understand them.

"These are some lost enchantment runes," Sodrion said, gazing at the ancient runes.

Runes are not only the basic units that make up spells, but also have many classifications.

Runes drawn on runeboards to form low-level spells are collectively called consumable runes.

When drawn on equipment or engraved on magical artifacts, they are called enchanted runes.

They do have research value... Lorne picked up a few pieces of armor with runes and stuffed them into his leather bag.

I'll look into it when I have time.

Peeling back the armor fragments, a square box burning with icy blue flames was revealed.

Lorne realized this was no ordinary object and looked to Sodrion for an explanation.

The knowledgeable elven chieftain must recognize him.

"This is the Death Knight's phylactery." Sodrion frowned. "Don't touch it directly with your hands."

"A life box?" It sounds very high-class... Lorne thought.

"The casket is a tool created by liches to hold souls in order to achieve immortality."

Sodrion's hands were stained with a golden glow before he picked up the life box.

The moment they made contact, wisps of black energy emanated from the Life Box, clashing with the golden radiance.

"This is a simplified version of the phylactery," Sodrion explained. "It contains cursed souls and very strong negative energy."

"Grandpa Chief, what's the use of this little box?" Mia asked curiously, examining it.

Lorne was equally curious.

He most wanted to know if this box could be of any help to him now.

"We can use the pure negative energy within to refine necromancy." Sodrion looked at Lorne:

"After the cursed soul is removed, this phylactery can help increase mana capacity and the power of necromancy, among other things."

When necromancy was mentioned, Lorne knew it had nothing to do with him.

My spiritual sea isn't even open yet, and I haven't learned the simplest spells, so I can't use them at all.

"Mr. Sodrion, this life box is now in your hands to solve."

The life box is useless to me; I might as well let Sodrion keep it, even as a favor.

Lorne then rummaged through the pile of armor, hoping to find something useful.

The smooth, silky feel is conveyed from the fingertips.

"Got it!" Lorne grabbed it.

All that could be seen was a black heart tightly clenched in his right hand.

Hey!

Lorne tossed it aside and started wiping it on the floor.

That's disgusting.

Death Knights don't even have a physical body, so who would have thought they have internal organs?

Sodrion cast a sealing spell on the casket, and the black casket was tinged with a golden glow.

After putting the box away, it picked up the black heart.

"This heart has undergone some mutations due to the long-term influence of negative energy." Sodrion handed the heart to Lorne.

"It's a very good material; it can be used to concoct some necromancy potions or as the core of some kind of ritual."

Lorne endured the nausea and accepted it.

Although we don't need it, we can sell it.

Based on having sufficient strength.

He understood the principle that possessing a treasure is a crime, and at least he couldn't reveal it to others before becoming a formal wizard.

If someone has designs on me, that would be terrible.

Finally, Sodrion also gave Lorne a small box to hold his heart.

Lorne put the heart into a box and then into a leather bag.

The point is to get something for free.

First came "Black Sun Meditation Method," then "Basic Medicinal Herb Identification," and finally, a grey mage's robe.

To the ceremonial robes, from the "Elven Runic Literature" rune, the "Bright" rune...

Next up are spirit-enhancing potions.

This trip has been incredibly fruitful.

After Lorne finished packing, Sodrion waved his hand and said, "Go and brew some potions."

"Regarding the teleportation," it mentioned Lorne's future, "I need some time to fix it."

"These next few days, Laure Audan and Mia will show you around the settlement."

Lorne did help solve the problem of undead creatures, so we can't just lock him up again.

Moreover, given the strength he displayed, few elves in the settlement could rival him.

If they truly harbored ill intentions, why risk their lives fighting a death knight...?

Lorne's efforts were not in vain; he gained Sodrion's trust.

"Alright." Leodan was very reluctant, but since the clan leader had spoken, he couldn't refuse.

"I'll keep a close eye on you!" Leodan glared.

Lorne didn't take it seriously, ignoring Leodan and taking Mia's little hand:

"Your Highness, let's go brew some magic potions."

"Okay." Mia nodded her little head.

Leodan could only stand by and watch helplessly...
