Soon after, Mrs. Elena pulled a map from the shelf.

"Take this with you." She handed the map to the round-faced apprentice standing at the front.

"This is..." The round-faced apprentice took the map and examined it curiously.

The woman in the leather coat and the nobleman joined each other inside.

"The internal layout of the resource zone." Lady Elena pointed to several areas above: "Focus on investigating these three areas."

Lorne also leaned closer to look at the map.

This is the general layout of the resource area, starting from the outside and gradually moving deeper in.

The resource zone is divided into three levels: outer, middle, and core.

The map shows detailed information about the outer and middle layers, but the core area is completely black.

According to the markings above, the outer perimeter is mainly a zone of elemental differentiation.

The side closest to the exchange is a fire element zone.

The sulfurous veins entrusted by the Phosphorus Fire Beetle belong to the fire element zone.

The middle layer consists mostly of attribute differentiation zones, including but not limited to element differentiation zones.

The three locations that Mrs. Elena referred to are not far apart and are all located in the middle level. They are:

The energy tide zone closest to the periphery, the spatial folding zone in the middle, and the cursed contamination zone near the core.

"There's one thing you need to be careful about: you absolutely must not enter the core of the resource zone," Lady Elena warned the group.

"The chaotic torrent of rules there is something even the Black Tower's Stigmata Wizards can't handle."

A Saintly Mark Wizard? Lorne learned about yet another stage in the wizard training system.

Based on my current experience, the True Spirit seems to be the ultimate goal of a wizard's cultivation.

They are called "superior beings," like creators, and can do whatever they want in this world.

"Does this so-called Kenlar race have any distinctive characteristics that set them apart from other elves?"

Lorne had a keen sense of location, but if he wasn't told what it looked like, it would still be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

The group of people echoed each other, agreeing with Lorne's point of view.

"This race, due to the blood curse, has several very distinct characteristics," Lady Elena listed:

"One of them is their pupils. Their pupils are red, symbolizing their bloodthirsty and evil nature."

"Secondly, their skin is translucent like white wax, and you can see the silvery-red blood vessels flowing slowly under the skin."

"In other aspects, they are no different from normal elves." Lady Elena clapped her hands gently.

"Alright, I have given you all the relevant information. Now, warriors, go and bring back the Tear of the Elf."

Energy tides, spatial folding, curse contamination... The burly man noted down the three locations and then turned to leave.

"Wait," the nobleman called out to the burly man, "why don't we all act together?"

The burly man stopped and looked at the nobleman with great interest.

"I think..." the nobleman said, offering his opinion, "we can get the bounty as long as we bring back the Tears of the Elves."

"Then why not act together? That way, we'll have a better chance of success."

"Yes," Mrs. Elena gently reminded her.

"If any one of you brings back the Tear of the Elf, I will pay each of you a high-grade magic crystal as a reward."

"Ha!" The burly man chuckled, his eyes sweeping over Lorne and the others with a hint of contempt. "You guys aren't strong enough."

After saying that, he turned and went downstairs.

The three members of the team all turned pale.

Lorne, however, was not particularly affected.

The big man was right; he was still too weak... He silently clenched his fist.

"And this friend?" The nobleman asked with a stern face, giving Lorne a slight smile.

Strange... Lorne smiled in response: "I'm with you."

He is very self-aware and understands the principle that "many hands make light work".

Since I don't know much about the resource area, I might as well join this team; they should have experience.

Venturing alone into a resource-rich area is bound to be dangerous, and all I know is the "Black Sun Meditation Method".

As for martial arts, the Triple Force and breathing techniques are still somewhat inadequate compared to the wizard's extraordinary power.

...

Lorne temporarily joined the three-person team.

"Hello, my name is Lauren."

After leaving the Blood-Eyed Divination Shop, the round-faced apprentice greeted Lorne warmly: "I know some basic level zero witchcraft."

"Lorne," Lorne replied after a brief moment's thought, "I excel at close-quarters combat."

"Close combat?" Lauren pointed to the nobleman. "The captain is also very good at it."

"Captain, the rookie says he's good at close combat." Lauren patted the nobleman on the shoulder: "From now on, you won't have to charge ahead alone."

The nobleman glanced at Lorne indifferently, not taking it to heart, and simply extended his hand: "Rudolph."

"This is Nina, she's in charge of tracking within the team," Rudolf said, gesturing to the woman in the leather jacket.

"Hello," Nina greeted simply.

"Lorne." Their hands clasped together, a simple gesture, yet it established the man's leadership.

Lorne didn't care about any of that; as long as the bounty could be completed, it didn't matter who was in command.

"Next, let's go to the market and rent some horses," Rudolf quickly announced the first task.

The resource area is vast; it would take several days to get there on foot alone.

If one had horses, it would take no more than three days to complete the journey to the three locations marked by Lady Elena.

Rent horses? You need magic crystals... Lorne reached into his pocket and pulled out some bread crumbs.

I have a bad feeling...

The group retraced their steps and left the town.

"Lauren." As they approached the market, Rudolph pulled a small bag from his pocket and tossed it to the round-faced apprentice.

"Take these magic crystals and go purchase some protective runes that can resist fire-attribute erosion."

"Okay!" Lauren took the bag. "I'll also buy some food, water, and some useful runes."

"Hmm." Rudolf nodded gently.

"Um..." Lorne said timidly, "Let me go with Lauren."

I don't have magic crystals to rent horses...

"No need," Rudolph rejected Lorne's suggestion. "Lauren can handle these small matters."

Renting a horse is no small matter... Lorne swallowed hard, already prepared to die.

Do you need money? No.

Do you want some bread crumbs?

As the group drew closer, they soon arrived at the market area.

"I'll go buy some supplies then," Lauren said, and left alone to purchase runes and some supplies.

Lorne was like a prisoner about to be beheaded, constantly worried that the large cleaver above his head would fall.

My palms involuntarily became sweaty.

He admitted that he had never felt so embarrassed, not even when facing the old man in black robes.

After walking with Rudolf for a while towards the edge of the market, a shed with partitions dividing the interior space soon came into view.

It's finally here... Lorne feels a bit like he's dying.

He looked into the enclosure and saw a brown horse with its mane flying, standing with its head down, making snorting noises.
