Chapter 35 Heavy Treasure

After three matches, Lynn stopped fighting and instead sat on the sidelines watching.

It wasn't until evening, when the arena was about to close and Floating Light City was about to impose a curfew, that he reluctantly left the arena through the passage below.

But when he stepped out the door, he was stopped by two people.

"What's up?" Lynn glanced at the two people in front of her.

One of the two men was a middle-aged man with long sky-blue hair, while the other was a slightly chubby young man with tan hair.

The two men stopped Lynn and scanned him with their divine senses, but found that they could not detect Lynn's aura at all. Immediately, their expressions became somewhat unnatural. However, given their background, even gods who were much stronger than them would not dare to provoke them.

They've become accustomed to being domineering.

"So what if he's stronger than me? Does he dare to provoke the Four Divine Beasts Clan?"

Thinking of this, the two men regained their composure. The slightly chubby young man with the tan hair looked at Lynn with an unfriendly expression: "What's your relationship with that kid from the Tarlin family? Do you know that he stole a priceless treasure from my Four Divine Beasts family!"

Upon hearing this, Lynn was filled with doubt: "A boy from the Tarlin family? A treasure? The Four Divine Beasts family?"

However, his expression remained completely unchanged, still indifferent. He coldly said, "I think you've come to the wrong person! I don't know anyone from the Tarlin family!"

Upon seeing Lynn's denial, the middle-aged man with long sky-blue hair next to the slightly chubby youth sneered, "Still dare to argue? Your longsword is the artifact of that remnant of the Tarlin family! You still dare to say you have no connection with him!"

"It's him!" Lynn's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this, recalling the dark god he had killed on the way to Floating Light City: "Is he the remnant of the Tarin family that these two mentioned?"

Seeing Lynn's thoughtful expression, the slightly chubby young man with tan hair became even more certain that Lynn was involved, and he said sternly, "Hand over your spatial ring so we can inspect it!"

"Otherwise, you'll offend our Four Divine Beasts Clan! There will be no place for you in any of the many planes; wherever you flee, you'll face certain death!"

As they spoke, the two men subtly took two steps toward Lynn, blocking his path as if to prevent him from escaping.

Hearing their words and seeing their actions, Lynn couldn't help but feel a little displeased.

However, he also knew that the Four Divine Beasts family was the kind of villainous force commonly found in fantasy novels. If the younger ones were beaten, the older ones would come out to protect them. If the Seven Star Demon of their family was killed, the Asura or the chief god messenger of the Four Divine Beasts would likely come to take revenge.

If their Asura is killed, then the Four Divine Beasts will probably have to take action themselves.

Lynn naturally didn't want to provoke such a troublesome force. He had absolutely no interest in that so-called treasure.

His soul contains complete laws of lightning and fire elements; he is capable of guaranteeing him a place at the Great Perfection stage.

Is that some kind of precious treasure that can help someone achieve perfect enlightenment?

"I have no need to provoke the Four Divine Beasts families. Right now, the most important thing for me is to cultivate peacefully to reach the Great Perfection stage, rather than making enemies with other forces!"

Thinking this, Lynn ignored their actions, suppressing his displeasure, and explained, "Gentlemen, what exactly is the lost treasure of your Four Divine Beasts clan? If it's with me, I guarantee I'll return it to you without touching a single penny!"

The long-haired middle-aged man and the slightly overweight young man exchanged a few glances and quickly made up their minds.

In their view, the person before them was clearly intimidated by the prestige of their Four Divine Beasts Clan and dared not offend them. That made things much easier; they had plenty of experience handling such matters.

The first step, naturally, is to force the other party to hand over the spatial ring. In this way, regardless of whether the 'token' is found or not, they will not return the wealth in the spatial ring to the other party; this is their reward for their hard work!

Secondly, if the token is found, then hand it over to receive the reward.

If they ultimately fail to find the token, they will have no choice but to report the matter to Lord Markram, who will then handle it personally.

Their discovery of the Tallinn family's escaped fugitives was a great achievement!

"Hmph! I already said, hand over the spatial ring so we can examine it!" The slightly chubby young man was arrogant and showed no politeness whatsoever despite Lynn's compromise. "Whether that treasure is on you or not, we'll know once we check!"

The middle-aged man with long sky-blue hair coldly retorted, "If you don't hand over the spatial ring, you must be connected to the remnants of the Talin family. You might even be an accomplice in stealing the treasures of my Four Divine Beasts family!"

"What a joke!" Lynn laughed in anger upon hearing this. What were these two up to? Did they think he couldn't see through them?

Do they really think he's a piece of soft clay they can manipulate at will?

Anger rose within him, and he coldly said, "You want to check my spatial ring! You're not qualified! Get out of my way!"

As he rebuked him, lightning flickered in his eyes, as if it might fly out at any moment.

If they weren't trapped in the city and unable to fight, these two would have already died from his soul attack!

These two were only ordinary high-level gods. Relying on their bloodlines of the Four Divine Beasts, they might be able to bully ordinary high-level gods. But when Lynn truly became enraged, the terrifying soul pressure that swept over them like a mountain collapsing and the sky falling was enough to silence them instantly, and they moved their feet involuntarily to make way for Lynn.

……

"Hmph!" Only after Lynn had walked a distance did the slightly chubby young man sneer, "How dare you be arrogant in front of my Four Divine Beasts Clan!"

The middle-aged man with long, sky-blue hair had regained his composure. Watching Lynn's departing figure, he said resentfully, "We'll report this to Lord Markram and see if he dares to be arrogant in front of him again!"

The slightly chubby young man nodded: "Let's go back!"

As for how they will embellish their reports after they return, that's something no one else can imagine.

……

Back at his hotel, Lynn began checking the contents of his spatial ring. He had just carelessly tossed these items into a corner of the ring without carefully examining their origins.

Since those two high-ranking gods from the Four Divine Beasts families are so certain that the Talin family stole their treasure, then that treasure must be among this pile of junk.

"If we've found it, let's return it to the Four Divine Beasts Clan!" Lynn frowned and shook his head. He might have been a little curious about that so-called treasure, but he had absolutely no intention of keeping it for himself.

It's not that they're afraid of the Four Divine Beasts, but rather that they're too lazy to spend time and energy on such matters.

In the world of Panlong, cultivation depends entirely on oneself, even if that treasure is a divine artifact. Lynn wasn't interested; once he became a god, he could have as many divine artifacts as he wanted!

Of course, that treasure couldn't possibly be a main artifact. After all, what fool would hold a main artifact and not use it?
