Chapter 27 Teammates

The next morning, Lin Manman rushed to the training hall. After what happened yesterday, Lin Manman's desire to become stronger and win the competition became even more urgent. She had to be good enough to deter others from targeting her family.

Fang Yaqi had to go to school and didn't come today. Liu Ping, however, arrived earlier than her with two friends.

"Miss Lin, these are my two friends, Xue Songwen and Zhu Zibin." Liu Ping briefly introduced the two boys behind him. The somewhat thin, medium-sized boy wearing glasses was Xue Songwen, and the taller, very fashionable boy was Zhu Zibin.

"Excuse me, how old is Miss Lin this year?" Xue Songwen asked, his expression hardening.

"You're fifteen this year, old enough to participate in the competition," Lin Manman said with a smile.

"Hiss." Xue Songwen and Zhu Zibin both gasped. This young girl was not only a level two beast tamer, but also possessed two level two spirit pets. The two exchanged a glance; if they missed out on such a good teammate, they might never find another one.

"Hehe, Miss Lin, Lao Xue and I have great confidence in your abilities. I wonder about the last teammate..." Zhu Zibin thought of the last teammate that Liu Ping was always reluctant to talk about, and felt a little uncertain.

"The last one is my classmate. She's still in school these days, but she'll come to train with us after her professional exams in two days. What a joke! If this girl hadn't insisted on forming her own team to help her classmates, what team would want someone with her skill level? Even with their combined abilities, they might not be able to invite her.

Lin Manman nodded. It was a good idea to let the other party experience Hong Yu and Ping Tou Ge's skills firsthand, which would also help both sides gain a better understanding of each other.

Because of its complex manufacturing process, the staff is much more expensive than a spirit beast core of the same level.

This Zhu Zibin not only possesses a staff, but it's a level three staff. Judging by that, he must come from a wealthy family.

"Your old man upgraded your equipment so quickly?" Liu Ping asked sourly when he saw Zhu Zibin's staff.

"Hehe, ever since I told him a while ago that I was getting tired of using the level 2 staff, he had someone get me this. There aren't many staffs that I can use that are higher level than my current one. Although this one looks a bit ugly, it's quite easy to use."
