"Dear students," Principal Dippert's voice boomed, "besides the freshman orientation, we have another important announcement to make today—we are honored to welcome a transfer student who will be joining our second year. Now, let us welcome Marina Rozier!"

The banquet hall doors opened again, and a figure in a dark green robe walked in—it was Marina Rozier! Her dark brown curly hair was neatly combed, her face was expressionless, and her sharp eyes swept across the room before finally landing on Lux, a faint smile curving her lips.

Lux's fork clattered onto her plate as she was filled with shock: How did Marina end up at Hogwarts? And as a transfer student? Wasn't she the eldest daughter of the Rosier family? Why was she suddenly studying in England?

The students around him were whispering, "Is that someone from the Rozier family? I heard they've been getting quite close to Grindelwald lately."

"Why would she come to Hogwarts? Wouldn't Beauxbatons be better?"

"Look at the way she looks at me, it's so fierce..."

Marina walked to the stool, picked up the Sorting Hat, and put it on. The Sorting Hat hesitated for only a second before shouting, "Slytherin!"

Applause immediately erupted at the Slytherin table, and Tom Riddle stood up and nodded slightly to Marina.

He clearly knew Marina would come. Marina walked over and sat down at the Slytherin table, glancing back at Lux as she did so.

Lux frowned, thinking to herself: This is troublesome. Marina's visit to Hogwarts is definitely not for anything good. Could she be here specifically to keep an eye on me?

It can't be that LeBlanc's magic failed again and she came for revenge, can it?

Thinking about it this way, Lux suddenly felt that this semester was also fraught with danger.

After Headmaster Dippet waited for Marina to sit down, he continued, "There is one more thing to announce: After discussion by the School Council, we have decided to appoint Professor Albus Dumbledore as Vice-Headmaster of Hogwarts, responsible for the school's daily affairs and student management. Galatea Melis will serve as the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Philius Flitwick will serve as the professor of Charms."

Dumbledore rose from the teachers' table, wearing a purple high wizard's robe, his reddish-brown hair and beard gleaming softly in the lamplight.

He smiled and bowed to the students, his voice gentle: "It's a pleasure to take on this role. I hope that in the days to come, we can work together to make Hogwarts more interesting. For example, we might offer an elective course on 'How to Properly Deal with Peeves' Pranks,' which I think everyone would find very interesting."

The students immediately burst into laughter, and the atmosphere in the hall relaxed again.

The food for the dinner party appeared on plates as Dumbledore clapped his hands: roast chicken, Yorkshire pudding, shepherd's pie, syrup pie... and various fruits and desserts.

Vera was seeing magical food for the first time. She watched in amazement as the food on the plate steamed on its own, and the bread was served to her. She couldn't help but whisper to Lux, "Is all this food created by magic?"

"It was made by the house-elf in the kitchen," Lux said, cutting her a piece of syrup pie.

"They are quite skilled and can make all sorts of delicious food. If you get hungry at night, you can go to the kitchen and ask them for something to eat. Of course, don't let the administrator find out. The kitchen is behind the painting at the entrance of the auditorium. Just scratch the pear in the painting."

Vera nodded, took a careful bite of the syrup pie, and the sweet but not cloying syrup melted in her mouth. She sighed with satisfaction, "It's so delicious! I've never had such a delicious pie before."

"That's how it is in Great Britain; anything even remotely normal is considered delicious."

The dinner party ended in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Minerva McGonagall stepped forward and called out to the Gryffindor students, "Gryffindors, come with me! We're going back to the common room!"

They followed Minerva through the corridor and up the spiral staircase. The portraits in the corridor seemed to greet them, and one knight in armor even drew his sword and bowed to them.

Vera looked at the portraits curiously and whispered to Lux, "Do they really move? Can they even talk?"

“Of course,” Lux said with a laugh. “Some portraits are quite talkative, like the Fat Lady. Last time I came home late, she nagged me for ten minutes before letting me in.”

Finally, they arrived at the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, where a portrait of the Fat Lady hung on the wall. "Password?" the Fat Lady yawned and asked lazily.

"Staggering," Minerva replied.

The portrait slowly unfolds, revealing the common lounge behind it.

The room was warm and cozy, with a large fireplace covering an entire wall. Several soft armchairs were placed beside the fireplace, and Gryffindor flags and various Quidditch match photos hung on the wall. Students dispersed, some chatting by the fireplace, others returning to their dormitories to pack their luggage.

Laksi led Vera back to the girls' dormitory. When they arrived at Vera's dormitory, she seemed to be the first one there.

"This is your bed," Lux said, helping her put her luggage away. "There's breakfast at seven tomorrow morning, so don't oversleep."

Vera nodded, then suddenly remembered something and asked in a low voice, "Lacus, do you know that transfer student Marina? I saw you were very surprised just now."

Lux paused for a moment, then explained, "I met her and her family a few times when I went to France to receive the Gobalot Prize, so I guess you could say we know each other. I never expected her to come to Hogwarts."

She didn't mention the Rozier family or LeBlanc; those things were too complicated, and it was better not to let Vera know.

Vera was still a little confused, but she didn't ask any more questions. She just nodded and said, "She looks so serious. She doesn't seem like a good person."

Anna and Mia also came over. Anna overheard their conversation and leaned in to say, "I heard from my sister that the Rozier family has been getting close to the Viscideans lately. Marina coming to Hogwarts might not be a good thing. Lux, you should stay away from her in the future."

Phoebe nodded in agreement: "Yes, Slytherins are all very cunning. Don't let her fool you."

Lux smiled and said, "I know, don't worry."

But in her heart she was thinking: Marina must have come to Hogwarts for a reason, and I really need to be more careful in the future.

Laksi brought Vera to his dorm room, and they chatted for a while about their plans for the new semester. Anna said she wanted to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team, Phoebe wanted to apply to be the librarian's assistant so she could read more books, and Mia wanted to audit more herbalism classes because she was interested in which plants.

Lux was thinking about going to Slughorn's office tomorrow to ask about the progress of the thesis, as well as Vera's wolfsbane potion. She needed to discuss with Slughorn how to give Vera the potion at school and find a suitable room for the full moon.

We chatted until very late before everyone went to bed.

Vera returned to her dormitory and fell asleep quickly, breathing evenly with a smile on her face, probably having a sweet dream about Hogwarts.

Lux tossed and turned in her bed, unable to sleep. One thing kept running through her mind: where could she stack steel? Her passive ability required attacking hero-level units to gain permanent health, but where were the hero-level units at Hogwarts?

She thought of the creatures in the Forbidden Forest, such as the bark giant she had encountered last time; they were marked as neutral monsters on the minimap.

She thought of the mermaids in the great lake again. Last time she went to the bottom of the lake to look for runes, she was beaten up by the mermaids and didn't have time to check what unit she belonged to on the minimap.

She thought of Tom again. Tom had a high magical talent and had always been a hero-level unit. However, when she fought Tom last time, she discovered that Tom was now a friendly unit.

Lux sighed, turned over, and looked at the moonlight outside the window. Perhaps she could go to the greenhouse tomorrow. There were many magical plants in the greenhouse, such as poison tentacles and mandrakes. Maybe some of them could be considered hero-level units.

"Never mind, I'll talk about it tomorrow," Lux muttered, finally feeling sleepy. She closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep.

In her dream, she saw herself holding a wand and casting a spell on a giant Dementor. The passive effect of Heart Steel kept triggering, and her health points increased and her size grew larger and larger until she became a giant that shone with light all over her body, and even Dumbledore could not defeat her.

"Gaia!"

Lux woke up with a start, rubbed her body hard, and then breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, she hadn't turned into a giant of light.

But why do I still feel a little regretful?

Lux glanced out the window; the sun had just risen.

Lux had just changed into her school uniform when she was startled by a sudden exclamation behind her.

Mia rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed, still clutching half a blanket in her hand: "Merlin's beard! Lux? You're awake? And dressed?"

Phoebe also lifted the curtain, adjusted her glasses, and her eyes behind the lenses were full of doubt: "Did you secretly drink some kind of wake-up potion? Or... did you forget to study because you had an exam today? Wait, school only started today!"

Lux straightened her school uniform collar in front of the mirror, then rolled her eyes. "Can't you wish me well for once? I just want to try waking up early and experience the daily life of a model student, is that so wrong?"

She reached into the drawer and pulled out a comb, patiently smoothing her usually frizzy blonde hair. Although the ends were still a bit upturned, at least she didn't look like a lion that had just been struck by lightning.

"The sun must have risen in the west!" Anna walked in carrying her cat, who lazily yawned. "I bet Phoebe a Galleon that you won't get up early even once this semester. Looks like I'm going to lose."

Lumi poked her furry head out of the wicker basket and complained in a Freljord accent, "Hey sis, are you crazy?! What are you doing up so early? I haven't had enough sleep yet! I've only been dreaming about chicken legs for half the day!"

Lux pinched its ear: "Stop talking nonsense. I'll take you to the auditorium later to eat freshly baked sausages, ten times better than the chicken legs in your dreams."

Lumi instantly perked up, her little paws gripping the edge of the basket: "Really? Then I forgive you! Let's go, let's go!"

The four of them packed their things and had just stepped out of the Gryffindor Tower when they bumped into Vera, who was carrying books.

Vera's eyes lit up when she saw Lux: "Sister Lux! You're here so early today! I thought I'd be waiting for you for ages."

She knew Lux wasn't an early riser. Vera had the owl she bought from Diagon Alley perched on her head, and Amber was obediently preening her feathers. When she saw Lux, she even gave a friendly "coo" twice.

"I got up early today, so I'll take you to the Great Hall for a hot breakfast." Lux ruffled Vera's hair, and the group chatted and laughed as they walked towards the Great Hall. Along the way, many Gryffindor students looked surprised when they saw Lux.

After all, in everyone's memory, Lux always rushed into the Great Hall right after breakfast ended, her hair a mess like a bird's nest, and she left with half a piece of bread in her mouth.

"Lux! You're not late?!" A third-grade boy exaggeratedly clutched his chest. "I thought we were going to be short one serving of breakfast today!"

Lux waved her hand dismissively: "Go away! If you tease me again, I won't protect you from the next thing that Mischievous Pixie throws at you!"
