Hogwarts: Lacus doesn't want to be a witch who destroys nations.
Chapter 63 Armand
Armand Rozier is the heir to the Rozier family fortune and is 33 years old.
He lives at the Rosier estate, is single, and is the future head of the Rosier family. He returns home no later than 9 p.m. every day, never smokes, drinks only in moderation, goes to bed at 11 p.m. every night to ensure he gets a full 8 hours of sleep, drinks a glass of warm milk before bed, does 20 minutes of stretching exercises to relax his body, and then falls asleep peacefully until dawn, just like a baby. He doesn't carry fatigue and stress into the next day, and even the family pharmacist says that Armand's body and mind are perfectly normal.
Armand only desires a peaceful life and never bothers with troubles, as they only bring enemies. This is Armand's attitude towards the magical world and the key to his happy life.
However, all of this was disrupted by the pale witch who appeared out of nowhere.
The Rozier family controls nearly 70% of the distribution channels in the French potions industry. Since Armand graduated from Beauxbatons School of Magic, he has been familiar with all the family's affairs and is certain that the family has never had any contact with the so-called Pale Witch.
But at some point, the family members, servants, and elves in the manor all began to obey the witch's every command.
When his father brought the pale witch to Armand and made him submit to her, he was certain that she had used some kind of mass memory magic.
As the family heir, he received more advanced training in black magic defense, with Occlumency being a mandatory course.
Since he learned the brain-blocking technique, he has kept it almost constantly active, fearing that his memories might be altered and cause harm to his family. On the day he saw LeBlanc, he could clearly feel some kind of magic entering his consciousness.
A master of brain closure doesn't prevent others from seeing anything, but rather allows them to see what they want to see.
Armand knew this perfectly well. Almost the instant he made contact with the other party's memory magic, he forged a memory for her. After the magic altered the forged memory, he immediately pretended to be just like everyone else in the manor, following the pale witch's lead.
After weeks of observation, Armand knew that the Pale Witch was searching for a power called runes, but he didn't know what runes were. When the Pale Witch's subordinate, Lady Iris, arrived, she determined that the unknown potion was a product of runes.
A plan instantly formed in Armand's mind.
He must kill Lady Iris, then escape the manor with the potion, and only then, in a way that will allow him to fully expose the matter to the public, will he be able to rescue his family.
Armand's idea was brilliant. Under the pretense of guarding the potions, he created an opportunity to be alone with Lady Iris. While she was examining the potions, he drank the Felix Felicis and then used the Killing of Adava to kill her. At the same time, he used the Polyjuice Potion to leave the family chamber that restricted apparition.
The plan proceeded so smoothly that after Armand escaped the manor, he took different compound potions multiple times to change his appearance, and chose the most solemn public occasion at the time: the Gobalote Award ceremony.
Armand deduced from the fact that the Pale Witch spent most of her time in Germany that the other party was very likely Grindelwald's man, given the current state of the European magical world, where wizards in Germany were all within Grindelwald's sphere of influence.
While the French Ministry of Magic's stance on Grindelwald is currently unclear, those from Hogwarts who were present that day were certainly not with Grindelwald.
At this time, the attitudes of the major powers in Europe and the various national ministries of magic were ambiguous. Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was on the board of directors, Durmstrang School was under Grindelwald's control, and Armand suspected that the Pale Witch was Grindelwald's saint, so he could only choose Hogwarts as his ally.
After the UMNO party came to power, although some people believed that Grindelwald and Dumbledore's relationship was ambiguous, Armand was among those who knew the inside story.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald had parted ways for many years due to their differing ideologies.
After Dumbledore starts school this September, Diment will announce that Dumbledore will become the Vice-Headmaster of Hogwarts. Armand has already seen Diment's Vice-Headmaster registration on the International Wizarding Federation's list, so Dumbledore can already represent Hogwarts to a certain extent.
Armand had met Dumbledore, and he had never seen anyone with such high magical skill. He was very clear about Dumbledore's strength.
At the same time, he was almost certain that Dumbledore would not confront Grindelwald directly, but would certainly oppose his actions. If he could just hand the potion to Dumbledore at the award ceremony, there would be hope of breaking the spell on his family.
He even deliberately left clues and loopholes in the bedroom, hoping to bring the matter up in public for the family.
At this point, Armand believed he had made a perfect plan.
Although Dumbledore didn't attend the meeting, he trusted the people at Hogwarts enough... well.
So why is that little girl from Hogwarts now in his dungeon, sitting across from him?
The above are Armand's thoughts after seeing Lux while he was being held captive in the dungeon.
"Why are you here? You shouldn't be here!" Armand broke down in a rare moment of rage. He couldn't understand why a Hogwarts student who had just won the Gobalot Prize for Dumbledore would be interrogating him in his own dungeon.
"You seem quite surprised to see me here." Lux found Armand's ever-changing expression somewhat amusing.
Lux interlaced her fingers and placed them below her nose, asking a rather amusing question in return.
"Why don't you take a guess?" Lux took out the Greed Potion and placed it on the table.
Armand looked at the slightly altered potion, forced himself to calm down, and began his analysis.
First of all, the father's attitude towards Lux was very respectful, and at this time she appeared in the manor with a potion, so it can be basically concluded that she is the Pale Witch, or someone from Grindelwald's side.
Secondly, although the bottle was the same, the potion inside was obviously different. In other words, she completed the reverse extraction of the potion in just one night. No wonder she is the youngest winner of the Gobaloth Prize.
Wait a minute, a sudden inspiration flashed through Armand's mind.
He sensed something was wrong when he used Avada Kedavra to kill Lady Iris. Avada Kedavra is a direct attack on the soul, but Lady Iris seemed like an empty shell. After being hit, he felt more like some kind of possession magic was forcibly expelled.
He suddenly realized that he had been set up by this cunning and terrifying woman. In fact, everything was just to get those so-called runes back into her hands. She had even foreseen that the Felix Felicis would bring bad luck after it expired, which caused his Apparition to be interrupted.
The Pale Witch could even be another Lady Iris.
So, is this girl named Lux really only a teenager? Is it possible that there is a monster inside her that has been alive for hundreds of years?
These runes are incredibly powerful. What can she do after collecting them? What does she want to do?
Revolutionizing the magical world!
This speculation is too astonishing.
But Armand felt he had found the crux of the problem: if Lux was going to overthrow the magical world, how could he protect his family in this wave?
"You're the mastermind behind this, aren't you?"
"Yes, yes, yes, yes..." Lux was taken aback, not expecting Armand to ask this question, after all, she was indeed the person behind the scenes in a strict sense.
Armand breathed a sigh of relief.
"Let's have an open and honest discussion about cooperation. I'm willing to submit to your grand plan, and the Rozier family will continue to serve you as long as their safety is guaranteed."
"A big plan? What big plan?" Lux had no idea what Armand was imagining.
"I understand. You are indeed very cautious. Your ability to conceal your identity as a Hogwarts student is impeccable. Although Grindelwald is unstoppable, it is clear that it will take him a long time before his influence reaches Hogwarts."
"As long as you guarantee the safety of my family members, I will mobilize all resources to clear obstacles for your plans."
Armand's tone was exceptionally sincere, "Your plan requires wizards, and the Rozier family will be your bridgehead."
Armand flicked his wrist, and the buttons on his sleeve instantly transformed back into a wand, which he waved twice before breaking free of its restraints.
He used Transfiguration to turn his wand into a button, intending to find an opportunity to escape, but he knew that he needed to do something else at this moment.
"Then there's only one answer."
Armand broke the wand with his knee.
"I will dedicate my loyalty to you."
