Chapter 313 Mission Completed

The unconscious Arthur was carried on Black Manta's shoulder as they hurried along, their destination clear: Antarctica. The icy winds howled past, and Black Manta trudged steadily through the polar cold. Soon, they reached a hidden glacial cave entrance. The entrance was concealed behind a thick layer of ice, accessible only to those familiar with the route.

Black Manta carried Arthur through the glacial cave entrance, the frigid air biting cold. Inside, the ice walls shimmered with an eerie blue light, reflecting an unsettling glow. They followed the winding ice path to the entrance of an ancient tunnel. At the end of the tunnel lay a forgotten kingdom—Necros.

Necrosus lies buried beneath the ice, its crumbling buildings and ruins hinting at its former glory. Black Manta carries Arthur across a long, black bridge; the seawater is frigid and chilling, seemingly capable of freezing all living things.

At the end of the long bridge stands a magnificent, frozen throne, upon which sits a lifelike ice sculpture of Kordakx. In front of the throne is an altar the size of a tea table, covered with ancient and mysterious runes.

Black Manta placed Arthur on the altar, Arthur still unconscious. Black Manta drew his dark trident, broken in two, from his waist, sneered, and slowly slashed a deep scar across Arthur's face with the trident's blade. Blood gushed out, dripping onto the altar.

As Arthur's blood flowed into the altar's groove, a sudden blue light blazed forth, the runes on the altar began to flicker, and blue magical patterns spread from the center of the altar. The entire altar emitted a deep hum, as if calling out to something.

The ice on the Frozen Throne gradually shattered, sending ice shards flying. The ice sealing Kordakx began to crack, fissures spreading rapidly. With a final, deafening roar, the ice completely collapsed, and Kordakx on the throne gradually regained life. His eyes opened, flashing with a cold light.

Black Manta stood to the side, a smug smile on his face: "Great Kodakx, I have brought Arthur's blood as promised."

Kordakx slowly rose from the Frozen Throne, his eyes flashing with a cold light. He glanced at the unconscious Arthur, then turned his gaze to the chains that had bound him for so long. These chains had once been the shackles of his power, but now, they were about to become a thing of the past.

"Finally reborn," Kordakus said coldly, tearing apart the chains binding him with a sudden burst of strength. The chains shattered in his hands with a piercing metallic crack, then broke and scattered on the ground.

"I have waited too long in the darkness," Kordaks continued, his voice deep and powerful, "and the whole world will feel my pain."

The black manta ray stood to one side, its eyes filled with excitement and anticipation.

Kordaks slowly raised his hand, and the Dark Trident flew into his palm, gleaming with a chilling light.

Kodakx glanced at Black Manta, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes. Did this mere human really think he would grant him power?

However, in a sense, that's not wrong. Kodakx does grant Black Manta some power, though the way it's granted might be different from what Black Manta expects.

Kodakx aimed the Dark Trident at Black Manta, and a beam of green light suddenly shot out from the trident. The light, like a venomous snake, quickly coiled around Black Manta, pinning him firmly to the spot.

The black manta ray felt an irresistible force, and its body began to tremble violently.

Black Manta let out a painful howl. The green light gradually eroded his body, turning his skin black and rough, and his eyes flashed with a crazed light. Black Manta's body began to twist and deform, eventually transforming into a terrifying black monster.

The monster's body was covered in jet-black scales, its eyes gleamed with a ferocious light, and it emitted a low growl. Black Manta was no longer the same creature he once was; he was a monster completely dominated by dark forces.

The black monster knelt on the ground, letting out a low growl, signifying its submission to Kodakx.

Kodakx stared at the Black Manta, now transformed into a monster, and let out a wild laugh that echoed through the frigid kingdom. He turned to look at the unconscious Arthur, his eyes gleaming with malice.

"I never imagined that the descendants of Atlantis would stoop to the level of green-haired turtles," Kordax sneered. "I'll transform you into a turtle monster. I really hope Atlantis can see this."

With that, he raised the dark trident, aiming it at Arthur. However, he suddenly stopped, lowered the trident, and revealed a cold smile: "To let you be transformed while you're unconscious is too easy for you."

So, Kodakx used dark magic to absorb a large amount of life force from the monster that the black manta ray had transformed into and transfer it to Arthur.

Arthur slowly awoke under the influence of magic. When he saw Kodakx in front of him and felt his powerful aura and dark power, he was startled.

"Who are you?" Arthur asked, trembling.

Kordakus laughed wildly: "I am Kordakus, King of Necros!"

Arthur paused, then said, puzzled, "Kordax? Necros? Never heard of him."

Kordakus's smile vanished instantly. He glared at Arthur and probed, "Fallen Prince, Shadow Ruler?"

Seeing that Arthur still looked confused, Kodakx's lips twitched and he said, "You green-haired turtle, you should at least have heard of the Dark Sea Emperor, right?"

Arthur continued to shake his head, appearing both bewildered and frightened.

Kordakus sighed helplessly and said, "I am Atlan's younger brother."

Upon hearing this, Arthur immediately nodded and said, "Ah, so you are the younger brother of our ancestor Atlan. I am a direct descendant of the Atlan royal family. We are actually one family. You should have said so earlier. You startled me."

Kordakus looked at the agitated Arthur, smiled coldly, and said, "I was defeated by Atlantis and sealed here."

Arthur's smile vanished instantly, and he tried to salvage the situation: "Actually, I'm from a collateral branch, and I have half-human blood. I have no sense of belonging to Atlantis at all."

Kodakx watched Arthur's change and gave a disdainful sneer:

"What a spineless descendant," Kordakus sneered. "No wonder he turned into a green-haired turtle. He's a disgrace to the Atlantean royal bloodline. As members of the Atlantean royal family, they should have the courage and spirit to defy power and never bend!"

Kordakus turned his gaze to Arthur, his eyes flashing with malice: "I will transform you into a turtle monster, and then ride you to destroy Atlantis."

Upon hearing this, Arthur turned deathly pale, immediately knelt down, and begged for mercy, even kowtowing and pleading, "Please spare me! Spare my wife Mera and my mother Atlanna! Please!"

However, at that moment, a magical portal suddenly opened in front of Kordakx, and Xiao Xian stepped out with a faint smile. Kordakx's laughter immediately stopped, as if someone had choked him.

Arthur watched in shock as Kordakx's attitude changed drastically, and as Xiao Xian, whom Kordakx addressed as the Sorcerer Supreme, appeared before him. He exclaimed to Xiao Xian, both shocked and uncertain, "Xiao Xian? Are you Ah Bin? My master?"

Xiao Xian ignored Arthur, smiled calmly, and said coldly to Kordakus, "I need to borrow your head."

Kordakus nodded repeatedly, hastily agreeing, "Of course, of course!" Without hesitation, he used dark magic to sever his own head. The headless body knelt, offering its severed head to Xiao Xian with both hands, the head even saying respectfully:

"From this day forward, my head is at your disposal, Your Holiness the Supreme Master."

Arthur watched Kodakx's obsequious and servile behavior with a mixture of speechlessness and irony. He couldn't help but recall Kodakx's earlier boasts of his fearlessness and unyielding spirit, only to now offer his head in such a fawning manner.

Arthur stared in disbelief at everything. If Xiao Xian had responded with a fiery gaze when he attacked him, he would probably be a corpse by now.

At the same time, a familiar notification sound rang in Xiao Xian's ear.
