Chapter 65 Extraordinary Individuals Data
Chapter 65 Extraordinary Individuals' Information (Third Update, Please Vote)
Holding the document signed by Dunn, Klein went underground and turned into the armory.
"Dunner is right, it's time for you to learn about the different extraordinary individuals and various secret organizations." Old Neil, dressed in a black classic robe, was not surprised when he saw the note, but instead earnestly agreed.
Then, he added with a smile, "After all, you're coming to the underground market with me tomorrow night."
"Tomorrow night?" Klein didn't hide his surprise and asked back as if to confirm.
Old Neil nodded and sighed:
"I'm the kind of person who can't sleep soundly when I'm in debt; I always hope to pay it off as soon as possible."
Why didn't you act like this before? You always had to drag it out until the last minute before using ritual magic to solve it... So I'm not the only one with procrastination issues... Wait, was it really necessary to put it so euphemistically as "afraid of spending the money to pay off debts"? Klein didn't expose Old Neil, but instead urged him:
"Mr. Neil, could you please go behind the Charness door and retrieve the relevant documents for me?"
The armory contains mostly archaeological data and historical documents, some of which involve extraordinary individuals and secret organizations, but not many, and they are all basic common knowledge.
Old Neil slowly sipped his handmade coffee, smacked his lips, then picked up the signed and stamped document and walked out of the armory, leaving Klein to guard the place in his place.
About ten minutes later, the old Neil, dressed in a classic black robe, returned with a large stack of documents.
"You can only read it here; you can't take it away," he said, placing the documents on the table.
"Okay." Klein nodded emphatically, stretched out his hands, and quickly flipped through the papers, first giving an overall overview.
Very detailed... No wonder it's the internal data of the "Night Watchers"... No wonder it's from a church with a history of three or four thousand years, or even longer... Klein glanced at it briefly and sighed inwardly.
The materials not only introduce various secret organizations, but also list many sequence pathways. Some are very complete, some only list the names of the corresponding potions, some only describe the performance of extraordinary individuals in that sequence, and some are completely missing, replaced by blank spaces.
Suppressing his excitement, Klein began searching for the sequence path represented by the "Diviner".
Amidst the rustling of pages, he quickly spotted familiar words.
However, his joyful expression quickly froze on his face, because neither Sequence 8 nor Sequence 7 after "Diviner" had a corresponding potion name!
Thankfully, at least there were extraordinary individuals in these two sequences… Klein silently exhaled, calmed himself, and carefully read the descriptions:
"Sequence 8: Potion name unknown, corresponding to Extraordinary individuals who excel in skillful combat and are all cunning."
Skilled in technical combat? Is this an advancement for a "diviner"? Something feels off... I'm not a hunter... Am I going to become a melee mage? What does cunning mean? Increased intelligence, good at deceiving people? Klein was stunned, even suspecting that there was an error in the Night Watcher's data.
He read the relevant case studies several times, but ultimately still couldn't find a reasonable explanation.
His gaze shifted downwards, and the description of Sequence 7 came into view:
"The name of the potion is unknown. It corresponds to the extraordinary individuals who have mastered many spells that can be cast quickly, combining their own skills with supernatural power."
That's more like it! That's more like an advanced "fortune teller"! Klein breathed a sigh of relief and sighed to himself.
After reviewing the case of Sequence 7, he turned his attention to the summary description of this approach:
"This sequence path first took shape in the Zarathustra family of the Solomon Empire. During the turmoil of the Fourth Age, the family was not completely destroyed, and their name can still be heard occasionally in the history of the Fifth Age... It is suspected to have some connection with the ancient organization 'The Secret Order'."
Zarathustra? Upon seeing this name, Klein's gaze suddenly narrowed.
The name appeared in the remnants of Emperor Russell's diary that he obtained yesterday afternoon!
Russell's "role-playing method" originated from a reminder from a mysterious figure named Zarathustra!
"Because of that mysterious Zarathustra, Emperor Roselle regretted not choosing the 'Diviner'? So, indirectly, it affected me, making me the 'Diviner', and bringing the role-playing method back into the embrace of the 'Diviner'... It really has a bit of a fateful feel to it..." Klein frowned, feeling that things seemed to have taken on a different feel.
Looking at the logical chain alone, he believes there are no problems with any of the links. However, in the field of mysticism, such a sense of destiny often reveals something and involves some issues.
Add to that the inexplicable nature of this time travel... it's all so mysterious... and the guy I possessed committed suicide because of the lost notes of the "Secret Order"... Klein thought for a long time and had many guesses, but lacked more information to prove them.
Sigh... After reading this part of the information several times, he could only suppress his thoughts and look at other records.
He first found the "Sailor" sequence and discovered that it indeed belonged to the Lord of Storms.
For this adversary, which may be more than two or three thousand years old, the Night Watchers' internal records are quite detailed:
"Sequence 8: 'The Wrathful People,' also known as 'Storm Guardians,' when they respond to the wrath of an Extraordinary being, they can unleash attacks far exceeding normal levels. Both their strength and speed are greatly enhanced... Facing them is like facing a storm..."
"Sequence 7, 'Navigator,' formerly known as 'Storm Priest,' corresponds to extraordinary individuals who are also scholars of astronomy and geography. They have an intuitive grasp of magnetic fields, ocean currents, wind direction, and clouds... Ships with 'Navigators' will never get lost at sea... They are higher-ranking benefactors of the ocean, and they will receive comprehensive enhancements on the high seas..."
"They are friends of water, able to move freely underwater for more than half an hour... They can cast some water-related spells to a limited extent, some from their own mastery, and some from the blessings of the Lord of Storms, for example..."
"Sequence 7 'Navigator' is very strong..." Klein nodded thoughtfully.
He suspected that the "Hanged Man" was either a "Storm Guardian" or a "Navigator," and given that the other party had just been promoted, the latter was more likely.
This also suggests that the "Hanged Man" is either a member of the "Punishers" or a pirate secretly recruited by the Church of Storms.
Impressive, impressive… Klein flipped back a few pages and found the advanced section on “The Audience,” which was completely consistent with the description of “The Hanged Man.”
Like the "diviner," the "audience" in Sequence 9 lacks direct means of defeating the enemy. They can only subtly influence and guide the situation by observing the information obtained from the target and grasping the other party's true thoughts. This allows them to subtly influence and guide the situation in the direction they desire.
Sequence 8, "The Mind Reader," represents a complete upgrade from "The Audience." Their observations are no longer limited to surface details but delve into mystical realms such as aura and ethereal bodies. This combination allows the "Mind Reader" to grasp people's hearts with exceptional accuracy, seemingly able to read their thoughts. It's difficult to keep a secret from them.
Sequence 7, the "psychiatrist" or "psychoanalyst," takes things a step further than the previous ones, and can begin to directly influence the target, such as treating the target's mania or other problems, or causing the target to become manic and lose their rationality.
"An extraordinary individual who is difficult for others to discover..." After reading the above information, Klein made a positive judgment.
Having learned about the members of the gathering, he then turned to the "Church of the God of Steam and Machinery," because Emperor Roselle had chosen their "General Knowledge" sequence:
"Sequence 9, 'Generalist,' the corresponding Extraordinary believes that knowledge is power, has a rudimentary understanding of mysticism, and is more proficient in aqua regia, nitroglycerin, and complex gear mechanisms. They seem to know everything."
No wonder Emperor Roselle said this "potion" was perfect for him, allowing him to maximize his strengths... Klein suddenly understood, and his gaze shifted downwards.
After describing several cases, the corresponding sequence 8 came to Klein's attention.
"An archaeologist possesses sufficient historical knowledge, wilderness survival skills, and taboo knowledge related to the site, along with a strong enough physique and ability to face all of this..."
"Sequence 7, 'Appraiser,' capable of intuitively grasping the abilities and problems of most extraordinary items, and using them while minimizing danger..."
Because Klein's security clearance was insufficient, the information related to the sequence pathway only went up to "7," which made him eager to find out more but he couldn't find any other way. He could only hope that Backlund would send the sealed artifact "2-049" as soon as possible to confirm whether Riel Bieber was a descendant of the Antigonus family.
In that case, he would have a chance to become a full member of the team and obtain a higher level of security clearance.
Composing himself, Klein carefully read through the documents from beginning to end. He learned that the successor to "Corpse Collector" was "Gravedigger," and then "Spiritualist." He also learned that Sequence 8 of "Secret Seeker" was missing, lacking both a name and a corresponding description. However, the Sequence 7 records contained the name of a potion: "Wizard."
"Pretty impressive..." Klein slowly turned the page and saw the "apprentice" and "thief" that Emperor Roselle had been thinking about. The records related to them only went up to Sequence 8, and the rest were missing.
"Sequence 9, 'Apprentice,' has rather strange abilities. It can only be confirmed that they are the initial stage of a mage school. They are rarely trapped and are difficult to block. They always find a way to escape and pass through... Sequence 8, 'Master of Tricks,' possesses all sorts of strange but not powerful spells..."
"Sequence 9, 'The Thief,' It's difficult to distinguish these extraordinary individuals from ordinary thieves and petty thieves. Perhaps they are more skilled in their methods, and their purpose in stealing property is not for enjoyment or survival, but rather to fulfill a mission... Sequence 8, 'The Conman,' In some fraud cases, we have found traces of extraordinary individuals. They take pleasure in deceiving others..."
Taking pleasure in deception... Is this a subtle, transformative form of "role-playing"? If I had a choice, I might choose "apprentice"... Klein muttered to himself, suddenly noticing the name of the sequence potion of Tris, the perpetrator of the Clover massacre: "Instigator".
