Chapter 76 Beware the Phoenix, Raising the Demon Emperor (The world-building begins to expand, don't miss it!!)

The dark figure stepped into the darkness behind them, slowly reaching out a hand; the wall in front of it emitted a ghostly blue light.

The dark figure casually sat down in front of the glass wall, the pale blue light illuminating her figure and face. From one side, she appeared both feminine and alluring, but from another angle, she resembled a child, a child watching whales alone in an aquarium.

Because the sea god is a deity worshipped on the continent, almost everyone has an instinctive awe of the sea. Only the Sun and Moon Empire could possibly have a place like an aquarium. Some of the visiting children would sit alone in front of certain tanks for hours, and passersby, watching their backs, found it profoundly unsettling.

There was indeed a whale in the tank in front of the girl in the shadows. The little whale seemed to have noticed the visitor as it swam over at high speed and stared at her through the glass wall.

The girl activated a soul-guided lamp, illuminating the little whale's face, which turned out to be human-shaped! To be precise, the moment the little whale saw the girl, it transformed into a mermaid, with a human upper body and a fish tail.

It's not uncommon for a single individual to possess characteristics of two different species. Mermaids aren't nonexistent either; there are strange spirit beasts like the Mermaid Princess in the ocean.

But this little whale was clearly different from them.

The human-faced whale seemed unable to hear the girl's voice; it simply opened its mouth and reached out to touch the glass wall, trying to blend into the spotlight.

Suddenly, its mouth opened, revealing sharp teeth that resembled those of a whale, like thorns.

The girl waved her hand, and a spirit beast that appeared out of nowhere appeared straight in the water tank. Just as the spirit beast tried to struggle, it was held tightly by the human-faced whale, whose tail strangely wrapped around its prey and then tore it apart.

In less than a minute, the poor soul beast was reduced to a mangled skeleton. Prey and predator were strangely intertwined, forming the shape of a peculiar flower. The torn flesh and bones served as petals, swaying in the water. Crimson smoke slowly rose, enveloping a black soul ring.

"How ugly this world is," the girl said calmly, her face devoid of joy or sorrow.

Suddenly, a third eye grew on her head, shining on the surface of the water tank. The dark soul ring moved slowly, eventually reaching the outside of the water tank without hindrance, where it was stored in the girl's soul tool.

The girl had changed completely; she was now covered in purplish-black armor, and her face was obscured by a piece of bone armor.

If Qian Renxue were here, she would be utterly shocked, because this bone armor is like a Spider King-type martial soul.

"Quietly digest the whale pearl, Queen of the Deep Sea Demon Whale. Your mission is to wait."

The Demon Emperor is the ruler of the Holy Spirit Cult in Douluo Continent III. It's also rumored online that the Demon Emperor was found by the most mysterious Elder, who never appeared in Douluo Continent II. This story continues this setting.

One could consider this: after the collision between the Sun Moon Continent and the Douluo Continent, Seagod Island was destroyed, and naturally, the Demon Whale Sea would also cease to exist. Although it is unknown how many years it took for the Sun Moon Continent to collide with the Douluo Continent, the Demon Emperor would certainly have considered this matter in advance.

Moreover, the sea is already under Tang San's control and has begun to gradually separate from the Douluo plane. The Demon Emperor will definitely notice this, so she will also run away and appear in the human world in human form. In the end, she will be found and raised by the Grand Elder.

Regarding the Grand Elder, her role here is that of a game-changer. How exactly she will do it remains to be seen, so please look forward to the upcoming episodes.
