Chapter 93 Analyzing the Mind from the Perspective of Dark Magic
Dumbledore walked to the window and looked up at the moonlight outside.
"Severus... if you have the chance, you could offer Voldemort some help." Dumbledore's tone was somewhat strained.
"Do you know what you're saying?" Snape asked, his face filled with disbelief.
Dumbledore remained silent.
Voldemort will always be resurrected, and Snape is the best spy to be planted next to Voldemort.
After a long silence, Dumbledore's voice slowly rang out, "Of course I can prevent Voldemort from rising again. As long as I want, Voldemort will not be able to return in my lifetime."
"But...I'll die eventually!"
Dumbledore now has only one wish: to eliminate Voldemort while he is still alive.
Snape looked at Dumbledore with a complicated expression.
The old man in front of him could actually ignore all of this. He was already over a hundred years old, and even if he had profound magic power, he could only live for a few more decades at most.
Wait... decades?
Wizards typically live longer than Muggles, and it's quite normal for many powerful wizards to live to be over 150 years old.
Dumbledore is only 110 years old this year.
Snape: "..."
Is that old geezer trying to trick me?
"...I'll find an opportunity." Snape did not refuse.
If Voldemort were to be resurrected, Snape would have to go back undercover, whether he wanted to or not.
At this point, Snape suddenly frowned. "If I knew the Dark Lord was still alive, and didn't go to him..."
What's the difference between that and betrayal?
Dumbledore said calmly, "If he asks in the future, just say you don't know. As for this time... consider it giving me some trouble!"
Snape's expression shifted repeatedly.
He didn't see Malfoy tonight, and Dumbledore's excuse... could actually get away with it.
Snape stopped dwelling on the matter. "Have you searched the Forbidden Forest? Can you confirm that the Dark Lord has left?"
"It cannot be ruled out that he might return."
Dumbledore thought for a moment, "If he wants to get into the castle, there are only a few places he can hide..."
"Hmm?" Snape looked at Dumbledore, wondering why he had stopped talking.
"And the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin!"
Dumbledore said solemnly, "When Voldemort was a student, he opened the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin. A student died there, and the school almost closed down because of it."
If Voldemort is hiding in a secret room, that would be terrible.
I wonder if there's a secret passage leading from Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets to the outside of the castle.
"Where exactly is the Chamber of Secrets?" Snape asked.
"Even I don't know how many secrets are hidden in the castle," Dumbledore said with a hint of helplessness.
Snape snorted, "What a clueless old fool."
"If there's nothing else, I'm going to patrol the castle." Snape planned to wait outside the Gryffindor common room for a while, in case Harry came out for a night stroll, tonight would be a huge win.
"Thank you for your hard work, Severus," Dumbledore said gently.
Snape said nothing, turned and left the headmaster's office.
……
Ravenclaw common room.
Andy sat on the sofa and did a set of eye exercises with his eyes closed.
I acted impulsively tonight!
Andy could have easily ignored this, but Malfoy was only an eleven-year-old boy, and he got into this mess because of Andy, so he was somewhat wronged.
Fortunately, the ending wasn't bad.
At least Malfoy was saved, and he also managed to thwart one of Voldemort's plots.
Most importantly, Andy saw the book "The Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic" in the principal's office, and even after reading just one chapter, Andy felt he benefited greatly.
Analyzing mental power from the perspective of dark magic.
Ancient black magicians conducted many cruel and inhuman experiments in order to study psychic powers.
Torture and abuse are nothing compared to controlling someone to kill their relatives and friends, thus causing them to experience despair, or dismantling a person's inner world in every way.
Through repeated experiments, countless useful conclusions were naturally drawn.
Even Muggles without magic are affected by their emotions, which can impact their physical health. If someone is constantly angry and harbors resentment, it can even shorten their lifespan.
Andy had heard a saying in his previous life: "A smile makes you ten years younger."
This demonstrates the influence of mental power on humanity.
For wizards, emotions, or rather, mental power, are even more important.
If magic power is the foundation of all magic, then mental power is not only the controller of magic, but also its amplifier.
Andy took out parchment and a quill pen, and while recalling the contents of the book, he wrote them down from memory.
Unfortunately, Andy didn't have a photographic memory; even though he had just read it, he could only remember a few key points mentioned in the book.
After finishing writing, Andy put the parchment away and got up to go to the Ravenclaw library.
It was still early, and Andy wasn't sleepy at all, so he could read a few more books to enrich his mind.
Andy wasn't particularly interested in these legends and stories before.
These stories are difficult to verify, and even if they are true, they have been embellished by later generations and differ greatly from the real stories.
However, Andy became very interested in these storybooks after learning that Mrs. Ravenclaw had left some things here.
When I have nothing to do, I always come here to read a few books.
Andy has already read the book Hermione mentioned last time.
The book contained some ancient Egyptian myths, including ancient Egyptian shamans, hieroglyphs, and various legends of ancient Egyptian gods.
The book even said that ancient Egypt was the birthplace of magical knowledge.
This is also a view shared by many scholars today.
After reading that book, Andy read many more books related to ancient Egypt, but unfortunately, he gained very little.
"To reach the level of the Four Great Masters, the only way for them to advance further in magic is to study the nature of magic."
Andy firmly believed this.
Based on the clues currently available, the four giants have different research directions, but their ultimate goal is always magic itself.
"magic……"
Andy pondered, "What is Ms. Ravenclaw's research area?"
"It can't just be a historical legend, can it?"
Andy took out a piece of parchment from his pocket, on which were written all the book titles.
Andy examined them one by one.
If Ms. Ravenclaw did leave something here, the most likely explanation is her research findings.
Their search for the origins of magic yielded fruitful results.
"It couldn't possibly be in these poems and prose pieces, could it?"
Displaying poetry and prose in a magic school's library is indeed somewhat unusual.
Andy walked to the bookshelf containing poetry and prose, his gaze sweeping over the titles and authors.
Author: Rowena Ravenclaw?
