Chapter 7: Am I the Snake Man of the Magic World?

Filled with boundless anticipation for the future, Andy eagerly opened the book "Standard Spells: Beginner's Guide".

"Fluorescent lights!"

Andy gently waved his wand according to the standard gesture described in the book, and whispered the spell. The tip of the wand immediately emitted a faint light.

"This is the Glowing Charm? Surprisingly simple!"

As the foundation of all spells, the Glowing Charm is so powerful that as long as a young wizard strictly follows the steps described in the book, there is virtually no possibility of spell failure.

Even if a little wizard's brain is as big as a troll's, he can probably succeed after a few tries.

However, the textbook's description of the Firefly Spell goes beyond just the gestures and incantations.

The book provides a very comprehensive explanation of the Glowing Charm, including its magical principles, applicable situations, and magical variations after mastery—including, but not limited to, throwing the Glowing Charm.

In conclusion, this book is undoubtedly qualified as a first-grade textbook.

"Haha! Andy, you're finished!"

Isabel suddenly burst into gloating laughter: "I heard that junior wizards can't cast spells outside of school. You're about to be expelled from Hogwarts."

"Let me think, Andy, you must be the first wizard in Hogwarts' history to be expelled before even enrolling, right? Congratulations, you've made history."

The little girl was so happy that she rolled around on the sofa.

"Idiot!" Andy muttered, "My foolish sister!"

To prevent underage wizards from casting spells outside of school, the Ministry of Magic first established the "Law on Reasonable Restraint of Underage Wizards," and later set up "Threads" to monitor the spellcasting activities of underage wizards outside of school.

Given the Collins family's generations of probing the laws of the magical world, the so-called "trace" is hardly a secret.

First, only young wizards who attend Hogwarts are monitored by tracking threads.

Andy has not yet officially enrolled in school.

Secondly, the "Threads of the Wizarding" system is not perfect. It is a limited surveillance system, mainly targeting Muggle-born wizards, with the reason being to prevent the wizarding world from being exposed.

For young wizards from wizarding families, the trails completely lose their purpose as long as an adult wizard is by their side.

Of course, if there are no adult wizards around, even a young wizard from a wizarding family will be detected by the Ministry of Magic if he casts spells outside.

Ignoring Isabel, Andy silently opened the system and then waved his wand.

"Fluorescent lights!"

The red liquid inside the sphere seemed to have increased slightly compared to a month and a half ago, but Andy still hadn't figured out the reason why the red liquid had increased.

Andy had a guess, but it had been difficult to verify before.

"Is it related to the attribute hints?"

With this question in mind, Andy waved his wand repeatedly.

"Fluorescent lights!"

"Fluorescent lights!"

After trying more than ten times, Andy keenly noticed that the red liquid inside the sphere seemed to have risen slightly.

The increase was so small that Andy might not have noticed it unless he looked closely.

For the past five years, Andy has never stopped researching the system.

The system has a total of ten attributes.

On the left are: Charms, Transfiguration, Dark Magic, Alchemy, and Divination.

On the right are: magic, soul, mind, thought, and will.

Andy's previous guess was that only by training and improving the five attributes on the left side could the red liquid inside the sphere be enhanced.

Over the years, Andy has tried various methods, but has only managed to discover one potential point.

Practicing the control of magic is not actually considered part of the "Spells" attribute, and Andy was previously not allowed to read books related to spellcasting.

However, the red liquid inside the sphere continued to increase, and even filled up once, giving Andy a potential point.

It was originally just a guess.

Now it has been confirmed.

Over the past five years, Andy has improved two attributes: his [Magic] attribute has increased from [1] to [2], and his [Soul] attribute has increased from [3] to [4].

All of these improvements were passive.

In addition, the originally unstable magic gradually became stable.

The gradual stabilization of magic power is essentially a disguised enhancement of abilities related to spellcasting, transfiguration, and dark magic.

After trying countless methods, this was one of the last possibilities Andy could think of.

"So next... is to learn spells and then start practicing a lot."

in other words…

"If the ability to enhance the left-side attributes can indeed increase the amount of red liquid inside the sphere, then black magic must be considered within the 'learning scope'."

I want to learn all the magic in the world.

Understand the truth of magic.

The pursuit of immortality and power.

My wand represents isolation, seclusion, longevity, and rebirth.

"This character seems so familiar."

Andy seemed to be deep in thought.

"If I got into Slytherin, and kept a bunch of poisonous snakes as pets, I'd unleash them to bite people when we fought..."

Am I the Snake Man of the magical world?

Is there an undisguised ambition in my eyes?

"Actually, when you think about it carefully, Slytherin doesn't seem so bad."

The original symbol of Slytherin House was: a keen eye, leadership, cunning, determination, and resourcefulness.

However, as rumors about Slytherin himself emerged, Slytherin House became a symbol of pure-blood status.

"Forget it, when it comes to choosing a department, it's best to just take it as it comes."

In Andy's view, Hogwarts' greatest treasure is its library, which has been holding books for over a thousand years.

Perhaps this is the greatest treasure in the magical world.

Once you learn the magic mentioned above, you will naturally become a powerful wizard.

……

In the evening, Kyle returned home from get off work, and Helen had already prepared a sumptuous dinner, with a faint aroma filling the living room.

"Andy, you must be so happy today!"

Kyle asked with great interest, "I haven't asked yet, what's your wand made of?"

"Pine wood, phoenix tail feathers." Andy had been practicing magic all afternoon and was exhausted.

"Not bad. A wand with phoenix tail feathers is rare, but pine is just average." Kyle was just an ordinary wizard, and his judgment of a wand's quality was based on the wood and the core.

Isabel whispered a complaint: "Mom, Andy cast a spell at home today."

"Be careful."

Helen looked at Andy and said, "If I'm not home, you should read your book and not just wave your wand around everywhere."

"Got it!" Andy nodded.

"Speaking of which..."

Kyle suddenly suggested, "Andy is old enough to go to school now, so we should have a celebration at home. The last time Andy and Isa saw their grandfather and maternal grandfather was last Christmas."

"What do you think?" Kyle turned to look at Helen.

"Yes! Then I'll write to them tomorrow." Helen had no objection.

Andy looked at his three family members at the dining table and suddenly realized that he was still somewhat different from Snake's character.
