Chapter 47 Andy: I'm such a great little wizard!
Chapter 47 Andy: I'm such a great little wizard!
Thursday, September 19th.
Andy woke up half an hour earlier today to tidy herself up in the bathroom and even gave herself a new hairstyle with hairspray.
"Absolutely perfect!"
Looking at himself in the mirror, Andy was extremely satisfied.
How can there be such a handsome person in this world?
"Merlin has given me the best of everything in the world, which is really annoying."
After changing his clothes, Andy left his dorm room and found a sofa in the lounge to sit down.
As their relationship grew closer, Andy and Hermione got used to eating together in the Great Hall, with the one who came out first always waiting for the one who came out later.
It was quite a coincidence.
Andy and Hermione have virtually no friends besides each other. Even their roommates are only casual acquaintances.
So Andy made a decision a few days ago to celebrate Hermione's birthday.
Ravenclaw has four classes on Thursdays.
However, due to the schedule change, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the morning was moved to the afternoon.
So, from 10:20 a.m. to 2 p.m., there are about three hours of free time.
That's enough!
Good morning!
After sitting in the common room for a while, Hermione, dressed in her Hogwarts uniform, carrying a stack of books, and with her hair looking a bit messy, came out of the girls' dormitory.
"Why are you up so early today?" Hermione was a little surprised. She was usually the one waiting for Andy here, and it was rare to see Andy get up so early.
"Maybe you didn't sleep well last night!"
Andy gave a perfunctory reply, then stood up and said, "Let's go, we have a lot of things to do today."
After breakfast, I finished my homework in the Great Hall, and then it was time for a Charms class with Gryffindor.
The young wizard was progressing very slowly, and the Charms class was of little help to Andy.
Fortunately, Professor Flitwick had a very good personality and was the Dean of Ravenclaw, so he was happy to answer Andy's questions that were unrelated to the course.
This is the main reason why Andy is so enthusiastic about taking classes.
Professor McGonagall, though strict, was generous in giving Andy extra guidance.
Although Andy could learn on his own from books, much of the content was obscure and difficult to understand. With the help of Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, Andy's learning progressed much faster.
If only Professor Snape could be like that.
Andy decided to wait until Christmas to give Professor Snape a gift and try to get closer to him.
After all, Andy doesn't have the Gryffindor prefix, so he wouldn't usually be targeted by Snape.
"Alright, that's all for this lesson!"
Upon hearing Professor Flitwick announce the end of get out of class, Hermione immediately packed up her books and suggested, "Let's practice magic. I want to try out the spellcasting techniques Professor Flitwick just taught us."
"OK!"
Andy naturally had no objections. "However, that classroom on the sixth floor is a bit small. I discovered a new secret base a couple of days ago. Let me show you!"
"I don't think it's small!"
Hermione was a little puzzled, but didn't object. "Let's go take a look!"
"Come with me!" Andy said, leading Hermione out of the Charms classroom.
"Andy—"
A shout came from behind, and it sounded like Ron. Andy pretended not to hear it and pulled Hermione straight into a corridor.
"It sounds like someone's calling you," Hermione said.
"Really? I didn't hear it."
Andy pretended to have amnesia, "Never mind, even if something happens, it's not urgent."
Andy led Hermione to the third floor of the castle, where they stopped in front of the statue of the One-Eyed Witch.
"This is it. Look closely, there's a mechanism here."
As Andy spoke, he drew his wand and lightly tapped the statue, chanting, "Separate left and right!"
Click!
The entrance to the secret passage slowly opened.
"There's a secret passage here!?"
Hermione covered her mouth and exclaimed, "We should tell the professor about this!"
Andy: "..."
Yes, that's very Hermione.
Andy flicked Hermione's forehead and said irritably, "Do you think the professors don't know this place? They do! But the secret passages at Hogwarts are meant for young wizards to use on adventures. Maybe this one was even built by Ravenclaw."
"Ouch!"
Hermione covered her forehead and glared fiercely at Andy.
Andy continued his charade: "Don't be fooled by the many rules Hogwarts has. The only real rule is—never get caught doing anything wrong."
"This is also a form of training for young wizards."
"Take this secret passage for example. Once we have experience exploring secret passages, we won't be at a loss when exploring historical sites after graduation."
Hermione: "..."
She always felt that Andy was lying to her.
However, considering the staircase in the castle, it doesn't seem unreasonable to say that this secret passage was built by Ravenclaw.
Andy looked at Hermione with a sincere expression. "Trust me!"
Hermione: No!
It's hard for anyone to believe you like this. You're not trying to trick me into going in to see the goldfish, are you?
After hesitating for a moment, Hermione decided to go in and take a look.
"If there are any dangerous mechanisms in the secret passage, we must tell the professor," Hermione said.
After sliding down the stone steps for about ten minutes, Andy and Hermione arrived at the bottom of the steps.
Walk up the steps and push open the trapdoor to reach the cellar of Honey Duke Candy Shop.
"Let's go up."
Andy gestured to Hermione with his chin before taking the lead.
Hermione followed cautiously behind Andy, her wand still clutched tightly in her hand. It was unclear whether she held the wand for self-defense or to seize the opportunity to strike Andy hard.
Andy pushed open the trapdoor and took a look.
Good, there's no one in the cellar.
"Hermione, come up here quickly!"
Andy pulled Hermione out of the trapdoor, first using the Disappearance Charm to make them both invisible, and then sneaking out of the cellar.
Before anyone noticed, Andy grabbed Hermione and ran quickly out of Bee Duke candy store.
Welcome to Hogsmeade!
Andy looked at Hermione with a smile, "This is the only village in the entire British wizarding world that is entirely populated by wizards. There are many fun places here."
"Would you like to go to the teahouse for a while?"
Hermione looked at Andy, hesitating between knocking him unconscious or petrifying him completely.
"Thank you!" Hermione suddenly rushed over and hugged Andy.
"Happy birthday, Hermione!" Andy said softly.
Lady Patiffe's Tea House is a major feature of Hogsmeade.
Its fame doesn't stem from its elegant decor or delicious food. The real reason for its fame is that it's the only teahouse in Hogsmeade.
Nobody is competing with it for business.
Andy led Hermione along Hogsmeade's main street to a street corner. "Let's grab something to eat here!"
