Chapter 38: Driving Quirrell away is everyone's wish.
"Nobody wants to break this record!" Ron retorted loudly.
Harry also looked ashamed.
Seeing this, George grinned and said, "But I have some good news for you. Your point deductions are outdated. Now everyone is concerned about something else."
Harry asked curiously, "What is it?"
"It's a secret!" Fred said.
"But I guess Andy and Miss Granger probably already know," George added.
Harry and Ron immediately turned to look at them.
"That's right, we already knew!" Hermione said smugly. Not only did she know, she even knew who the mastermind behind the plan was.
Ron looked completely bewildered. "What on earth happened?"
"Don't ask," Fred said, putting his arm around Ron's shoulder.
"Although many people know this secret, we will not tell anyone who does not know it," George said.
Enjoy your dinner!
Fred and George patted Harry and Ron on the shoulder, waved to Andy, and then walked away with a flourish.
"What exactly is the secret?"
Ron looked annoyed, as if the whole world knew except for him and Harry.
What exactly did they miss?
Harry turned to Andy and asked, "Can't we really tell you?"
"It's not that I can't say."
Andy grinned mischievously, "Those who know the secret can discuss it with each other, but we won't tell those who don't know it."
Harry and Ron: "..."
Harry took a bite of the sausage, but the sausage, which used to taste delicious, now tasted completely bland.
This feeling of "everyone else knows, but you don't" is really annoying.
He bet he'd have trouble sleeping tonight.
Ron was a little skeptical. He got up and walked over to Michael Corner, raising an eyebrow as he asked, "Michael, do you know about that?"
Michael nodded. "You mean that? Of course I know, and I've already agreed."
"What did you agree to?" Ron asked impatiently.
"you do not know?"
Michael gave Ron a wary look, then waved his hand impatiently. "If you don't know, don't ask around."
Ron: "..."
Ron refused to give up and asked several more people he knew, but the answers he got were basically the same.
Those who didn't know were just as curious as he was, while those who did know refused to tell him what the secret was.
After walking around for a while, Ron sat back down looking dejected.
Andy and Hermione exchanged a smile; this feeling was quite interesting.
Although no secret magic was set up, everyone seemed to tacitly agree that no one would tell the secret to someone who didn't know it.
This is so Hogwarts!
……
However, secrets don't stay hidden forever. In just one night, the news that "Slytherin intends to get rid of Professor Quirrell" spread throughout Hogwarts at lightning speed.
By the next morning, the young wizards were already openly discussing the news.
The young wizards could only say four words about Slytherin's actions: Well done!
Nobody at Hogwarts likes Professor Quirrell.
Many young wizards were very excited. Although the whole thing was spearheaded by the Slytherin students, it was the result of the collective efforts of all the young wizards.
Gryffindors may have different opinions, but nobody cares what they think.
If the plan succeeds, Professor Quirrell will become the first professor in Hogwarts' thousand-year history to be ousted by the student body.
They will make history!
When Andy and Hermione arrived at the Great Hall, new news came from Slytherin—they had already sent out the complaint letter.
A cheer erupted in the auditorium.
Andy glanced at the Slytherin table, where Malfoy was talking to the person next to him with a proud expression.
Judging from his beaming face, you can tell how smug he is right now.
"Andy, let's go!" Hermione tugged at Andy's sleeve.
"Yes!" Andy nodded.
The Ravenclaw area is also in an uproar, with everyone hoping that Professor Quirrell will leave Hogwarts, especially the studious young eagles.
"If we succeed, it will be a momentous event that will go down in the school's history."
"This is a victory for all of us!"
"We will definitely succeed."
"I took a Divination class this year, and Professor Trelawney predicted that someone would leave Hogwarts this year. I think she was referring to Professor Quirrell."
The eaglets were discussing it intensely when Andy was about to ask the third-year student who had taken the divination class how Professor Trelawney had made her predictions…
Then another fifth-year student said, "Don't believe her. Professor Trelawney predicts every year that someone will die at Hogwarts, but it has never come true."
Andy: "..."
You're a scammer!
That shouldn't be possible, right?
Professor Trelawney's ancestors were all great prophets, and Andy had read many books on the subject.
However, prophecy requires talent, and Andy's talent in this area is currently zero.
"Andy, do you think the professors know about this now?" Hermione seemed a little flustered.
The little witch had three things she feared most in her life: first, not getting a perfect score on a test; second, being criticized by the professor; and third, being expelled from school.
Although Malfoy spearheaded the whole thing, it was Andy who devised the plan.
Once Malfoy is captured, Hermione doesn't believe he can keep the secret and swear to never betray Andy.
"They probably don't know yet, right?"
Andy guessed, "After all, no one will tell the professor about this. Professors aren't omnipotent; they can't predict the future. Especially since—the plan only started yesterday."
After thinking for a moment, Andy added, "But I think... Professor Dumbledore probably already knows."
"What should we do?" Hermione panicked. She began to recall the books she had read before, imagining what reasons she should use to defend Andy should he be arrested.
Andy chuckled and ruffled the little witch's hair. "Don't bother. We're not doing anything bad. So what if people find out?"
"I just didn't want to stand out, which is why I left the task to Malfoy."
Hermione slapped Andy's hand away and glared at him. "Don't touch my hair, it's already messy enough."
Andy's composure quickly put Hermione at ease, but the little witch then asked another question, "But... what if Professor Dumbledore doesn't agree?"
"How could he possibly disagree? This is a petition from all the students; even the principal can't go against all the students, can he?"
Andy shrugged. "If Dumbledore really insists on going his own way, then I'll have no choice but to have Malfoy lead the students in a strike!"
