Chapter 36 Slices are the Future of Magic
Although the Ministry of Magic has many shortcomings, Andy has no intention of overthrowing it and establishing his own authority, after all, being the third Dark Lord is not an easy job.
And Andy doesn't like managing other people, especially in the wizarding world—that's too much of a waste of time.
Andy preferred studying magic.
After being transported to this world, Andy had only one dream: to follow the path of magic to its very end.
Moreover, the existence of the Ministry of Magic has indeed effectively managed the wizarding world, preventing it from being exposed to Muggles.
However, the drawbacks of the Ministry of Magic should not be ignored.
Look at those little wizards at Hogwarts!
If we were to make a statistic, at least 90% of the young wizards at Hogwarts learn magic simply to find a decent job after graduation.
What's the difference between this and a Muggle?
If the purpose of learning magic is only to work, then it's better to live in the Muggle world, where at least the standard of living is far superior to that of the wizarding world.
Of course, everyone has their own aspirations, and Andy would not impose his ideas on others.
Having like-minded friends is certainly good, but it doesn't matter if you don't.
If possible, Andy would like to establish a magic laboratory to study the nature of magic, or to experiment with some forbidden magic.
Imagine if we dissected a wizard and examined his cellular tissue under a microscope, wouldn't we find some differences from Muggles?
Or, if we wanted to conduct a dangerous magical experiment, wouldn't it be possible to avoid some of the dangers if a wizard could 'voluntarily' act as a guinea pig?
Of course, Andy isn't a dark wizard, so he can't just slice up a wizard or conduct forbidden magical experiments on a wizard.
Andy still has her bottom line!
But... what if the other party is a dark wizard or a Death Eater?
During wartime, you could probably sneak up and kill one or two Death Eaters without getting caught, right?
Andy recalled for a moment.
There are seven Harry Potter books in total.
In other words, when Harry was in seventh grade, it was time for his final battle with Voldemort.
If we take into account the preparation time for both sides, as well as the time it took for Voldemort to regroup his old followers after his resurrection, then Voldemort should have been resurrected when Harry was in his fourth or fifth year.
"In other words, I have four or five years to prepare."
Andy thought to himself, "With the system's help, if I study magic diligently, taking down a Death Eater in four years shouldn't be a problem, right?"
Smash, drag away, slice up – a one-stop service.
Thinking about this, Andy suddenly felt a sense of anticipation for Voldemort's resurrection.
With Dumbledore and Harry drawing fire in front, Andy could easily carry out his own schemes in the shadows.
For example, that magical experiment that uses magic to corrupt the body is now only missing a Death Eater to 'voluntarily' sacrifice themselves.
"..."
Andy shook his head, temporarily dismissing these chaotic thoughts.
For now, Andy still needs to learn magic step by step, in a down-to-earth manner.
……
Around 6 p.m., Andy and Hermione walked down the stairs to the first floor, preparing to go to the Great Hall for dinner.
"Hello, student!"
Just as Andy and Hermione turned a corner on the first floor, they were stopped by an older Slytherin student.
"Uh, hello, is there anything I can help you with?" Andy asked.
"I am Jon Eberke, a third-year Slytherin student."
Abercrombie said, "Well, we Slytherin are conducting a secret investigation. Are you satisfied with our Defense Against the Dark Arts professor? That is, Professor Quirrell!"
Andy and Hermione exchanged a glance; sure enough, they had arrived.
"Quirk?"
Andy raised an eyebrow, his tone displeased. "Of course I'm not satisfied! All he does is read from the textbook. If someone like that can be a professor, then I can be a professor too!"
Hermione puffed out her cheeks and said, "Besides, the classroom smells awful."
Upon hearing this, Abercrombie's face lit up with joy. "Then... if we have the chance to get rid of Professor Quirrell and have the school replace him with a qualified professor... would you two be willing?"
"certainly!"
Andy immediately feigned eagerness, "What should we do?"
Abercrombie looked around, then mysteriously pulled out a piece of parchment and handed it to Andy. "You two... all you need to do is sign your names on this parchment. As for the rest—leave that to us!"
Andy took it and looked at it.
The parchment detailed Professor Quirrell's various misdeeds, including but not limited to: stuttering, only being able to read from textbooks, having no knowledge of defense against the dark magic, not even teaching students to cast spells, not answering students' questions, and the classroom being filled with a nauseating smell...
These are all normal, but there are some abnormal ones later on.
For example: harassing female students, harassing male students, arbitrarily confiscating students' property, suspected of being associated with Death Eaters, and even having worked for the mysterious figure...etc.!
Good guy!
In short, after Andy read about Quirrell's many crimes, he felt that even a lifetime in Azkaban wouldn't be enough for such a person.
He deserves a passionate kiss from the Dementor.
The rest is just normal content.
Andy also saw some of the things he had said to Malfoy on it.
—We must defend our right to learn to the death.
Hogwarts belongs to the wizarding world, but it also belongs to us students.
—We absolutely cannot let Quirrell waste our precious time; that would be a slow murder!
It looks very exciting.
Next came a dense array of student signatures. Andy glanced at them and saw that there were only a few dozen signatures in total.
Is the efficiency really that slow?
Before Andy could ask any questions, Abercrombie explained, "So far, hundreds of students have signed it; this is just one of them."
That's it!
There was nothing wrong with the complaint letter, and Andy happily wrote his name on it before handing it to Hermione.
Hermione hesitated for only 0.2 seconds before writing her name on it.
"Senior Abercrombie, this complaint letter—I mean, when exactly is Quirrell going to leave Hogwarts?" Andy handed the complaint letter to Abercrombie and asked casually.
"It should be ready this month, right?"
Abercrombie wasn't sure either; he was just a gofer in Slytherin, and he didn't know what the pure-blood descendants were planning.
However, it will be no later than the end of this month.
"I'm really looking forward to it!"
Andy nodded and walked towards the Great Hall with Hermione.
Eberke retreated to a corner, quietly waiting for the next young wizard to take the bait.
