Chapter 30 Mr. Ignorant, Miss Know-It-All, Explosive Genius
At 2 p.m., the classroom for the Transformation Class was already full of students.
This class was still being taught by Ravenclaw and Gryffindor together. Andy saw Neville, who had missed a Charms class, was also there, but Harry and Ron were still nowhere to be seen.
I don't know if she's been hospitalized.
A tabby cat was sitting on the lectern, staring at Andy for a full ten minutes.
Hermione was immediately intrigued by the cat as she entered the classroom, and she asked excitedly, "Is this Professor McGonagall's tabby cat?"
After saying that, she was about to go over and masturbate a couple of times.
Fortunately, Andy stopped Hermione in time, preventing a major disaster.
Andy, who had seen the movie, naturally knew that the cat was Professor McGonagall in disguise.
Having lived in the magical world for so many years, Andy fully understands the level of magic that Animagus transformations represent.
To put it bluntly, any wizard who has mastered Animagus transformation possesses extremely high skill in transfiguration.
Based on this alone, Professor McGonagall's skill level is definitely not bad.
As class was about to start, Harry and Ron rushed into the classroom in a panic.
It seems they were not hospitalized.
"Looks like we're not late. The professors haven't arrived yet." Harry was somewhat relieved. He couldn't even imagine the consequences of being late—Professor McGonagall was the head of Gryffindor.
"Is that Professor McGonagall's cat?"
Ron glanced at the tabby cat on the lectern, then casually walked over. "George and Fred said that Professor McGonagall has a cat."
Thank goodness!
Andy looked at Ron with a face full of relief, "You are my savior!"
That's right, that line was said by George and Fred.
Professor McGonagall clearly didn't like being petted. Before Ron could even get close, the tabby cat leaped off the lectern and transformed into Professor McGonagall in the process.
Ron's hand froze in mid-air, his eyes glazed over, and he was trembling with fear.
Professor McGonagall looked at Ron with a serious expression. "You're already late."
Ron forced himself to say something, "That was really cool."
"Thanks!"
Professor McGonagall dismissed it, saying, "Mr. Weasley, Mr. Potter, it seems I'll have to turn one of you into a pocket watch so you can keep to the time."
"Professor, we're lost," Harry explained forcefully.
"Then turn it into a map!"
Professor McGonagall glared at the two of them. "You don't need a map to find your seats, do you?"
The two quickly sat down.
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous spell in all of Hogwarts' courses. Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be asked to leave and never be allowed to return."
"I warned you."
Professor McGonagall started by turning the podium into a pig, then turning it back to normal amidst the astonishment of the young wizards.
"Amazing!" Andy thought to himself.
Professor McGonagall's move was truly brilliant.
Helen could also transform objects into animals, but the animals she transformed clearly lacked intelligence and looked no different from inanimate objects.
Professor McGonagall's transformed pig, however, was so lifelike that it looked just like a real pig.
This involves more than just shapeshifting; it may also involve techniques for imbuing inanimate objects with sentience.
Professor McGonagall's demonstration had clearly piqued the young wizards' interest, but what awaited them was a long stretch of theoretical knowledge and at least eight inches of Transfiguration notes.
Professor McGonagall loves to ask questions in class, and Hermione always answers her questions accurately, earning a "Ravenclaw bonus" as a reward.
This led to Professor McGonagall looking at Hermione with extremely complex emotions.
Smash it!
Why isn't this little wizard a Gryffindor?
Isn't the Sorting Hat Gryffindor's hat? When exactly did it end up in Ravenclaw's arms?
After explaining the theoretical knowledge, Professor McGonagall looked around the classroom and habitually asked, "Does anyone still have any questions?"
Andy quickly raised his hand.
Professor, I don't understand.
All the young wizards in the classroom looked at Andy, knowing that he was about to ask some questions they couldn't understand.
"Mr. Collins, please speak." Although Professor McGonagall was somewhat stern, she was clearly a qualified professor.
Professor McGonagall only explained the principle of wood turning into metal in class, so Andy naturally couldn't ask questions about things unrelated to the lesson.
After organizing his thoughts, Andy asked, "Professor, wood and iron are completely different substances, but iron created using Transfiguration possesses all the properties of iron—does this mean that magic itself can simulate this characteristic?"
"Secondly, what is the principle behind how magic alters the structure of matter? Magic is amazing, but I think there must be a reason for it."
"besides……"
Andy asked four or five questions in a row, then waited expectantly for Professor McGonagall to answer his questions.
Professor McGonagall was stunned for a moment.
These questions are beyond the scope of the curriculum!
"You're very close to the answer, Mr. Collins."
Professor McGonagall explained, "Many historically renowned wizards have said that the highest level of magic is to make one's wishes come true, but it cannot create something from nothing."
"Magic can indeed simulate the properties of matter, but it must rely on other substances to complete the transformation."
"If you want to learn more about transfiguration, you can read more books on the subject."
Professor McGonagall answered all of Andy's questions, and Andy readily replied, "I'm currently reading books on this subject, Professor!"
Hermione secretly rolled her eyes at Andy. He was lying again. "You've been reading books about spells the whole time."
"Any further questions, Mr. Collins?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"That's all. Thank you, Professor." Andy sat back down.
"What about the others?"
No! All the little wizards shook their heads in unison.
Professor McGonagall gave everyone a match and asked them to use Transfiguration to turn the match into a needle.
Andy tapped the match with his wand, and it instantly turned into a needle. Andy even showed off by carving beautiful patterns on the needle.
"Mr. Collins has succeeded. Ravenclaw, two points added."
Professor McGonagall held up Andy's transformed needle and showed it to the other young wizards. "You are all young wizards who entered school in the same year. You can't fall too far behind Mr. Collins, because that would make you look very stupid."
Andy was dumbfounded.
I never expected Professor McGonagall to be like this.
Professor McGonagall not only used Andy's achievements to inspire other young wizards, but she also inadvertently made Andy the target of hatred.
Sure enough, women hold grudges.
I was just saying you have a tabby cat to trick the other little wizards into petting you!
I haven't even gotten it yet, what am I doing?
Professor McGonagall clearly knew Gryffindor very well, and her provocation was very effective on the young wizards.
Just a moment after she finished speaking.
boom!!!
An explosion was heard.
