Chapter 294 Andy Collins, the Millionaire of the Magic World
Chapter 294 The Wizarding World's Millionaire—Andy Collins
"You two seem to have a good relationship!"
Helen joked, then warmly invited, "Miss Granger, come over to our house sometime!"
"Mrs. Collins, you can call me Hermione," Hermione said somewhat nervously.
Andy raised an eyebrow and interjected, "Mom, I've already invited Hermione. She'll be coming over for the last few days of the Christmas holidays."
"Really? Hermione, then I'll be waiting." Helen said, looking at Hermione.
"Alright, it's getting late."
Andy seized the opportunity to say, "Mom, don't keep Hermione's dad waiting outside for too long."
"All right!"
Helen patted Andy on the shoulder with a smile, then said to Hermione, "Hermione, let's go out together!"
Andy: "..."
For the next few minutes, Andy felt an extreme sense of torment.
I don't know where Helen and Mr. Granger got so much to talk about. A witch and a Muggle could chat so enthusiastically about everything under the sun.
When the two finally finished their conversation, Andy and Hermione exchanged a glance, both seeing a hint of relief in each other's eyes.
It's finally over!
Boarding the Knight Bus, Helen looked at Andy with surprise. "These past few months, your fame has spread all over Europe!"
"You mean that guardian spell?"
Andy said smugly, "It's just a little bit of fame. It'll probably be forgotten soon. It's nothing special."
"What about the basilisk?"
Helen's expression was rather unpleasant. "Your grandfather already told me. Andy, where did you get half a basilisk? Do you know how dangerous those creatures are?"
"Well……"
Andy raised his hands in surrender, "I'm fine, aren't I?"
"Even if there's nothing wrong, it's still not allowed!" Helen said sharply.
"Mom, Andy didn't do it on purpose, it was just an accident. He definitely won't take that risk again next time," Isabel said, holding Helen's hand affectionately.
Andy was taken aback. How come this girl is so nice?
"Mom, don't talk so much in the car," Andy quickly said.
Helen snorted and glared fiercely at Andy.
After a moment of silence, Andy nudged Isabel and whispered teasingly, "Isabel, you've been quite well-behaved lately!"
"Of course! I've always been very well-behaved."
Isabel tugged at Andy's arm, tilted her little face up, and asked with a cute, pleading expression, "Andy, am I your good little sister?"
"No!" Andy said righteously.
Isabelle: "..."
Before the little girl even opened her mouth, Andy already knew what she was up to.
After selling the Basilisk, Andy became rich overnight.
How many snacks must that be?
Now you remember I'm your good brother? Too late!
"Want some snacks?" Andy asked casually.
"Yes!" The little girl nodded obediently.
"It's not impossible..."
Andy rubbed his shoulder and muttered to himself, "Sigh! My shoulders are a bit sore after a few months of school."
Isabel readily offered, "Let me massage you!"
Gee!
That's the allure of money!
At Godric Valley Square, the Knight Bus screeched to a halt.
After getting off the bus, seeing that Helen still had a stern face, Andy could only surrender and said, "The basilisk monster was really just an accident. I promise I will never do anything dangerous again."
Helen didn't even glance at Andy. She waved to Isabel, "Isabel, let's go."
The little girl held Helen's hand, turned around, and stuck her tongue out at Andy.
Andy shrugged helplessly and could only follow behind the two.
……
"Haha, Andy—" Grandfather Norman Collins gave Andy a warm hug as soon as they met.
"Long time no see. Grandfather, how have you been lately?" Andy asked.
"Health? Grandfather is in good health!"
Norman stepped aside. "Come on in, it's cold outside."
After entering the house, the family sat around the fireplace, and Grandmother Veronica Collins gave Andy and Isabel some snacks and milk.
And then...
It was a scene where the whole family scolded Andy together.
Even his grandfather Norman betrayed his allies and joined the fight against Andy.
Fortunately, Isabelle is a loyal friend; she'll occasionally say a good word for Andy for the sake of her snacks.
Andy repeatedly assured that he would never take any more risks in the future.
"By the way, Andy."
After the slaying ceremony ended, Norman suddenly asked, "I haven't asked you this yet, but you've been staying at Hogwarts the whole time, where did you get such a huge basilisk?"
Helen glared at Andy. "If you hadn't mentioned the basilisk, I wouldn't have remembered. You wrote to me asking me to buy a rooster, wasn't that to deal with the basilisk?"
"Hmph! It was clearly premeditated, yet they call it an accident."
Andy raised his hands in surrender.
"Where did the basilisk come from?" Helen asked.
"The Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin," Andy said truthfully.
Norman slapped his forehead. "I knew it! So that's why you came to me during summer vacation asking about the secret room."
Helen glared at Andy fiercely upon hearing this.
Seeing this, Andy had no choice but to tell the whole story truthfully.
He recounted everything from the initial discovery of clues, to confirming intelligence, to how he prepared, and finally how he killed the basilisk... from beginning to end.
After understanding the situation, Helen asked curiously, "Besides the basilisk, are there any other things in the secret chamber?"
"That's all!" Andy said.
Andy mustn't let his family know about his magical transformations; they would never allow him to research such dangerous magic.
"Oh, right, this is for you."
Norman tossed Andy a key and explained, "I've already deposited the money from selling the Basilisk into Gringotts for you, and even opened a vault for you. Go check it out when you have time!"
"Thank you, Grandpa." Andy quickly put the key away.
They're really rich now.
Isabel looked at Andy with envy, thinking to herself: I wish she could kill a snake monster too.
But Andy's money is her money.
The little girl asked curiously, "Grandpa, how much did you sell the basilisk for?"
"More than 50,000 Galleons, I guess?" Norman gave a rough estimate.
"So many?" Helen exclaimed in surprise.
"So little?" Andy was somewhat dissatisfied.
Norman explained, "Britain can't handle that much, so a large portion has to be exported. Plus, we need to cultivate relationships... Do you think they'll turn a blind eye if we don't keep the Ministry of Magic fed?"
Andy nodded knowingly.
Whether it's a black market transaction or smuggling to Europe, the Ministry of Magic's tacit approval is required.
Helen glanced at Andy's pocket with the keys in it and said casually, "Andy, what do you need so much money for, you little kid? Give the keys to Mom to keep safe, I'll give them back to you when you grow up."
