My Pokémon Story of Seasons

Chapter 61 Beginning

Spring of the 112th year of the Alliance Calendar, May 18th, sunny.

Tong Hua woke up from her sleep and tiptoed out of bed.

After carefully avoiding the forest tortoises near the bed, he looked up at the clock on the wall.

It was exactly five o'clock, and the outside world was already faintly lit.

"Ha..." Tong Hua stretched and walked straight to the bathroom.

He scooped up a handful of water from the bucket and splashed it on his face; the icy well water dripped down Tong Hua's chin back into the bucket.

"Tick-tock...tick-tock..."

Tong Hua stood in front of the mirror and suddenly froze as she looked at herself.

"So cool... Just like me."

Tong Hua stepped back slightly, standing a little further away.

The person in the mirror was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, with clearly defined muscles and a healthy-looking complexion.

I'm noticeably stronger than when I first looked in the mirror two weeks ago.

He looks more like a rancher now.

After washing up, Tong Hua returned to her room and glanced at the Pokémon that were still fast asleep.

The foam squirrel's sleeping posture was still as bad as ever, rolling all the way from one end of the bed to the other. The two Celebi huddled together on the pillow, looking much more docile than the foam squirrel.

Tong Hua gently picked up the foam squirrel and placed it on the pillow, then covered it with a blanket.

"They're quite cute when they're asleep, and their fluffy texture feels so nice."

Unfortunately, once she wakes up, she starts getting jealous and vying for attention. Tong Hua smiled helplessly.

"Game..." The forest tortoise lying on the floor was talking in its sleep. Tong Hua thought it had woken up, so she quickly stopped and dared not make a sound.

If the forest turtle wakes up, everyone in the house will definitely be woken up.

Thankfully, it was just something he said in his sleep, and Tong Hua secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He quietly approached the windowsill and glanced at the sweet bamboo in the flowerpot.

Since living with the Pokémon, Tong Hua only has a short period of time to herself each morning when she wakes up and at night when everyone is asleep.

For him, who was used to living alone, these moments of solitude were especially precious.

Tong Hua gently pushed open the wooden door, the hinges making a slight creaking sound. He held his breath, afraid of waking his companions inside.

A cool morning breeze blew in, carrying the unique scent of fresh grass from the pasture. He took a deep breath, and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

The sky was turning a pale white, and the distant mountains were faintly visible in the morning mist.

Tong Hua walked across the dew-dampened grass towards the well behind the house. He skillfully turned the crank and drew up a bucket of clean water.

As Tong Hua carried the water into the kitchen, she pondered her plans for the day.

The patrolman in charge of shipping will arrive around 7 a.m., and it should be Chuangyi's turn to be in charge today. Before that, Tong Hua needs to prepare the milk to be shipped and yesterday's eggs, and put them together at the door.

After that, it's just the usual routine of making breakfast and watering the fields. As for pest control and weeding, those are left to the forest turtles.

"I was saying I was going to buy a few Pokémon yesterday, but I only bought 20 chickens. But that reminded me though..."

Even among Pokémon with production capacity, there are many different ways to produce them.

Perhaps we should prioritize Pokémon that can produce ingredients, so that we can use high-quality ingredients to further mass-produce dishes with special effects.

Just like yesterday's chicken feed...

While thinking, Tong Hua took out a few white-shelled eggs. Although the quality of these eggs was currently only grade C, there was no guarantee that the hen would lay higher-quality eggs after being raised for a while.

With this in mind, Tong Hua had already made up her mind.

He put on his clothes and went to the Pokémon Hut in the meadow.

The big milk tank has already woken up, or rather, it has gone back to sleep.

A metal can filled with fresh milk was placed at the entrance of the hut, indicating that the large milk can had already completed its milk production.

"Worm".

Tuotuo worm poked its head out from the barn next to it and called softly to Tong Hua.

"Oh, you're awake too. Good morning, Tuotuo."

Since the barn was repaired, Tuotuo has grown to love living in it.

Even a high-end Pokémon house isn't as comfortable as living alone in a barn.

"Worm." Tuotuo worm affectionately nuzzled against Tong Hua's chest, then picked up the tin can and walked towards the ranch gate.

"You go first, I'll go check over by the pond and then come back later."

Tong Hua waved and walked in the opposite direction with Tuotuo Yin.

……

The hardworking family of big-tailed raccoons came out to play early in the morning by the pond.

"Beep beep!"

It was the same daily morning meeting as always. The patriarch, Big-tailed Tanuki, stood on the top of the den and called out to the Big-toothed Tanuki below.

"third!"

"May you smile all the way!"

"Beep beep!"

At his command, the big-toothed raccoons quickly dispersed and went about their own business.

Tong Hua walked over and happened to see this scene.

"Good morning."

Tong Hua smiled and waved at the big-tailed raccoon, who immediately straightened up and responded.

"Beep beep!"

In the pond, several carp kings and ordinary grass carp were blowing bubbles together. A few lively carp kings frequently leaped out of the water.

Tong Hua has not chosen to ship these carp kings for two reasons.

First of all, they were caught and brought back by Tong Hua himself, which is of sentimental value to the ranch.

Secondly, Magikarp is priceless.

In other words, there was no acquisition price...

There's no one to buy the goods even though I want to ship them...

Tong Hua squatted by the pond, watching the carp leaping about, a smile unconsciously spreading across his face. He reached out and splashed the water, the cool touch invigorating him.

He spoke softly to the carp in the pond, and also to himself.

"Keep up the good work today!"

……

An hour later, Chuangyi left the money and loaded the eggs and milk onto the truck.

"I'll keep an eye out for what you mentioned, and if I find it, I'll definitely send you a copy."

Don't worry, nobody knows more about newspapers than me, hehe!

After saying that, Chuang drove away.

Recalling the expression on his face when he saw more than 100 eggs, Tong Hua couldn't help but laugh.

Having already eaten breakfast, and with the Pokémon managing the fields, Tong Hua finally had some free time again.

It was just past 7:30. Tong Hua stood at the back door holding a glass of fresh milk. The potatoes and strawberries in the field had already sprouted.

Sweet Bamboo and Forest Tortoise patrolled the fields, chasing away the bird Pokémon that clung to them and the nearby creatures, as well as some insect Pokémon that came attracted by the sweet smell.

"Oh my!"

Sweet Bamboo leaped high and used its spinning leaves to repel a Mukher that swooped down in confusion.

Muckle felt the pain and, once she regained consciousness, quickly fled.

Tong Hua stood at the back door with Foam Squirrel, watching silently, each holding a glass of fresh milk.

"La beep." "La beep!"

The two Celebi had gone for a while and came back with strange smiles on their faces.

Tong Hua put down her milk cup and looked curiously at the two Celebi: "What prank have you been up to this time?"

The rabbis flew mysteriously to Tong Hua, each grabbing one of his clothes from the left or right.

"What happened?" Tong Hua turned her head and asked curiously.

"La-beep!" The green Celebi excitedly spun around, gesturing with its little hands that it wanted to take Tong Hua to see something.

The foam squirrel immediately perked up its ears alertly, hopped onto Tong Hua's shoulder in a few leaps, claimed its exclusive seat, and asserted its dominance over the two Celebi.

"Alright, alright, let's go take a look together then," Tong Hua said with a smile, following Shirabi toward the bushes at the edge of the ranch.

"La-beep!" Green Silavi pushed aside the bushes and was surprised to find a ladder hanging on a big tree.

Tong Hua climbed up out of curiosity, only to find a small secret base up in the tree.

It's like a secret base created using secret power in a game, located on a low tree that isn't very tall.

"You did this? Did you use some secret power?"

Tong Hua climbed up the treehouse, and the secret base in front of him looked somewhat similar to Mu Mu's house.

"La beep!"

The two Celebi nodded in agreement. In fact, the treehouse where Woody and Giant Vine lived in Windswept Forest was also made by them in this way.

"That's amazing."

Several strings of glowing fluorescent mushrooms hung under the eaves of the mini treehouse, and a welcome carpet of flower petals was laid out at the entrance.

Its size is not much larger than a birdhouse, and at most, only Pokémon of the size of Celebi and Bubble Squirrel can enter.

The foam squirrel couldn't wait to jump off his shoulder and quickly dart into the treehouse's small door.

"Tsk tsk!" The little head of the foam squirrel peeked out of the window and excitedly waved its paw at Tong Hua.

Tong Hua looked through the window and saw that there seemed to be some wood carvings made of wood chips inside the house, which looked very exquisite.

"My own secret base, how wonderful, I want to go in and take a look too."

After saying this, Tong Hua shook his head.

I remember there was a scene in anime where technology and superpowers were used to shrink people, but that was only in anime.

Having been in this world for so many days, the most powerful method Tong Hua has ever seen is the Celebi method, which instantly ripens fast-growing wood.

How could it possibly be possible to shrink a grown person to such a size?
