Chapter 151, Section 48: Unity – All Forces That Can Be United

Chapter 151, Section 48: Unite all forces that can be united

Thanks to Gordon and Brock's planned rescue, all ten bomb buses were towed and brought to an underground parking lot. The three letters painted on the buses were also discovered. However, the clues left by the Joker were too abstract, and no one has been able to decipher them yet.

The gang members sat in a circle behind a concrete pillar not far from the bomb bus. This served both to guard against any possible sneak attacks from the corrupt police and to work together to decipher the code while Gordon defuses the bomb.

Brock sat in the very center of the crowd.

In the previous crossroads gunfight, the old man, as the vanguard of the returning flanking team, used a shotgun to fiercely attack his former colleagues, ultimately winning the kill king title with a huge advantage of 11 kills.

In one-on-one combat, Gordon is undoubtedly the king of the police force, but when it comes to a master of chaotic battles, it has to be Brock.

The image of him smoking a cigarette in the midst of a blizzard left a deep impression on the gangsters. Although he hadn't yet lost his police title, most of them already regarded him as the temporary commander of this makeshift team.

Brock, of course, didn't stand on ceremony and readily accepted the crown, putting it on.

"Use your brains and think carefully! What do these three letters, E, T, and M, actually stand for? This is related to whether I can get the evidence back and whether you can climb to higher positions. Pay attention!"

Although he said that, Brock didn't have much hope. These guys looked fierce and were all muscle, and their brains were probably full of protein powder and steroids.

"Mr. Block, I have an idea!"

Someone raised their hand.

"Perhaps it's an acronym for something, like EnergyTransitionMechanism."

Or something like a transmission electron microscope.

"Huh?"

Brock tilted his head, striking the same question mark face as Nick Young.

But the most awkward thing wasn't that he didn't understand, but that someone in the room actually did.

"I think it's possible, but neither your 'energy transition mechanism' nor your 'penetrating electron microscope' are relevant to the topic. I'm more inclined to the MET (Metropolitan Opera), after all, the Met isn't far from Gotham."

Many people nodded thoughtfully upon hearing this, and each offered their own opinions in a few words.

"So how do you know it's not true? I mean, where do you get all this knowledge from!" Brock asked sourly.

"Oh? Oh! Before I got into this field, I majored in microwave maser at Columbia University."

"What? You're from Columbia too? What a coincidence! We're alumni."

"Is there a University of Arizona?"

Brock's words steered the conversation off-topic, and the gang members unexpectedly started playing a game of finding alumni.

Finally, it was discovered that many of the people here had bachelor's degrees from prestigious universities.

So, you need to know so much to be a gangster in Gotham? Turns out I'm the biggest idiot here.

Caught in the middle and unable to get a word in edgewise, Brock was secretly heartbroken.

Just then, someone's voice rang out from the dark basement, rescuing him from his predicament.

"Great idea! It does consist of three words, but they are not a phrase; they are individual words."

Without a moment's mourning for the Batmobile that plunged into the sea, our V-Bat immediately rushed to the scene.

"Manor, Tower, Enterprises—if anyone still doesn't understand what they refer to, just add Wayne in front of them."

Three buildings that could represent the Wayne family—that's the answer to the Joker's riddle. Qin Wei's solution wasn't due to any particular intelligence, but simply because he understood the Joker, and this obsessive fan who couldn't stop talking about Batman.

He returned the liquid nitrogen cylinder to Gordon and helped defuse two bombs. Amidst the people's profuse thanks, the bomb bus crisis was half resolved.

Why only half? Don't forget that the clown also prepared two school buses full of children, which never appeared on the city's surveillance cameras.

Qin Wei brought a map and unfolded it in front of the gang members.

He uncapped the marker and drew three dots where the clown had marked.

The abandoned Wayne Manor in the northern suburbs, the Wayne Corporate Building in the financial district, and finally the Wayne Tower in the diamond district—when they are connected by thick black lines, a triangle appears before everyone's eyes.

The pen tip eventually landed in Robinson Park in downtown Gotham City.

"I suspect that the two missing school buses and what you're looking for are hidden there."

As soon as Qin Wei finished speaking, the atmosphere at the scene became subtle.

Before this, the gangs were united by a common goal, but now that the goal has been achieved, they are about to turn against each other for their own gain. This is the Joker's little trick of manipulating people's hearts.

Qin Wei originally didn't need to pay any attention to these troublesome guys and could have just gone straight to the destination to rescue the hostages. However, doing so would most likely have played into the Joker's plan. Although he didn't know the Joker's true intentions, he chose to do the opposite and tried to win over the gang's forces, hoping to dismantle the Joker's plan from a localized perspective.

"I hope you can heed my advice and temporarily set aside your pointless personal grudges."

Before Qin Wei could finish speaking, a burst of laughter erupted from the audience.

"Judge, you are the one here who has the greatest grudge against us!" A tall, thin man stood up, clenching his fists.

His actions were met with immediate and enthusiastic support; soon, many gang members stood up, raised their guns, and aimed them at Qin Wei.

Brock and Gordon, standing to the side, secretly worried for Qin Wei; this seemed to be the prelude to war!

Ultimately, the gang's allegiance to them was solely for the "treasure" the Joker spoke of. Now that their goal was achieved, the fragile alliance was on the verge of collapse. Had Qin Wei not repeatedly warned the two not to expose their weapons, they would have already drawn their guns and confronted each other.

Gordon knew that he could only trust Qin Wei now, but how could he persuade these greedy thugs?

"You used to ambush people in dark alleys, but what about now? With so many guns pointed at you, shouldn't you pray you have a body of steel?!"

The tall, thin man, emboldened by the support of his many followers, grew increasingly arrogant.

"Kill him!"

"Kill him!"

"Kill him!"

Amid shouts from hundreds of gang members, the man clicked as he cocked his pistol.

Just as he aimed his gun at Qin Wei amidst everyone's expectations, a pair of rough, large hands suddenly grabbed the muzzle.

Before the man could even react to what was happening, he was slammed to the ground by a bare, powerful arm that swung towards him.

What a brilliant move, like the Thunder Plow and the Hot Knife.

"I can testify that Judgement Knight was never the enemy! Those he killed had only themselves to blame. Instead of blindly seeking revenge, you should ask yourselves what your brothers have actually done!"

The one who stood up for Qin Wei was an old acquaintance—the "Crocodile Gang," representing the homeless community.
