In Douluo Continent, I am the mastermind behind the scenes.

Chapter 1 1. Girl Ye Xishui

"Your Majesty, are you...are you alright?"

Your Majesty?

Qin Yi rubbed his eyes, gazing thoughtfully at the girl in front of him, who appeared to be only eighteen or nineteen years old and dressed in a white dress. Her appearance and attire clearly indicated she was of East Asian descent.

But... the word "Your Majesty" is a Western term. Has he ascended to some world that blends Chinese and Western elements?

Thinking of this, Qin Yi quickly asked, "Miss, where is this place? What year is it? What's your name?"

The girl subconsciously replied, "Your Majesty, this is the Star Luo Empire. This year is Douluo Calendar 9772. My name is... Ye Xishui."

"Ye Xishui? The future Death God Douluo, the Supreme Leader of the Holy Spirit Cult?" Qin Yi said thoughtfully. The moment he saw the girl Ye Xishui, he immediately decided... to change her original fate.

In the year 9772 of the Douluo calendar, there are still about 230 years until the second Douluo storyline. Ye Xishui at this time would definitely not be more than twenty years old, and she probably wouldn't have had time to use her body to sow discord between the Black and White Holy Dragons.

Holy Spirit Cult... Supreme Leader?

This is not a good title. Anyone who can have the title of Supreme Leader is only the leader's direct elder, such as mother or grandmother.

Did she ultimately fail to escape the clutches of that old devil Zhong Lisu?

Ugh!

Ye Xishui sighed, her stunningly beautiful face filled with resentment. A female soul master with twin martial souls and innate full soul power should have unlimited potential. Why did she listen to the deception of some people and become a saintess of the Holy Spirit Sect?

How unjust Heaven is!

Qin Yi instinctively stepped forward to comfort Ye Xishui, but just as his hand was about to touch her, a beautiful female voice rang in his mind.

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you have successfully arrived in the Douluo World. The Investment Return System has been activated.]

[Martial Soul: Not yet unlocked]

[System Repository: Dual Cultivation Technique "Acacia Heart" and Puppet Master's Legacy]

"System, may I view Ye Xishui's personal panel?"

Okay, host.

【Ye Xishui】

Gender: Female

Age: 18

[Soul Power: Level 66]

[First Martial Soul: Ghost Slayer Demon Shadow]

Second Martial Soul: Phoenix of Light

Huh? At this time, Ye Xishui had not yet fallen into the evil soul master, and her first martial soul was not the Blood Soul Demon Puppet.

Qin Yi stepped forward, hugged Ye Xishui tightly, and whispered in her ear, "Girl, as you've seen, I possess the strength of a Super Douluo and have a certain understanding of this world. I... can take you away from the control of the Holy Spirit Cult, the price being that you become my wife."

"I..." Ye Xishui slowly lowered her head. To be honest, she was indeed tempted. Within the Holy Spirit Cult, no more than a handful of members knew of her existence. The aura emanating from the other party was clearly not that of a Soul Master or a transformed Soul Beast, so she was most likely not a member of the Holy Spirit Cult.

Besides, that old devil Zhongli Su told her to imitate Diao Chan and sow discord between Mu En and Long Xiaoyao. Her innocence was about to be jeopardized. What else could she possibly lose?

Wait, who is Diao Chan?

Seeing that Ye Xishui was interested, Qin Yi pressed his advantage, saying, "Miss, I have the strength of a Super Douluo and have mastered a cultivation system different from the Douluo world. The Sea God Pavilion may scoff at it, but the Body Sect will definitely be very interested. As long as you pay the corresponding price and become a member of the Body Sect, even if the entire Holy Spirit Sect mobilizes, they will be unable to do anything to you and me."

"With your talent of twin martial souls, it won't take many years for you to suppress an era. At that time, whether you destroy the Holy Spirit Cult or establish your own sect, I will stand behind you and silently support you."

"I...I'm willing." Ye Xishui tiptoed, looked at Qin Yi's handsome face, and slowly pressed herself against it.

That kiss felt like an eternity.

"I should go back now, or the team leader will become suspicious. Husband, the Soul Master Competition is currently underway in Star Luo City, and the young sect master of the Body Sect is staying at the Starlight Hotel. You can try to make contact with him."

"If everything is arranged properly, when I go on stage to compete tomorrow, you should stand in a conspicuous place and wave this cane."

"If, due to some uncontrollable factor, we encounter resistance from the Holy Spirit Cult and are unable to escape, please end my life and annihilate my soul with your own hands. Sometimes, death is a kind of liberation."

"I'm leaving."

Ye Xishui handed an ordinary-looking cane to Qin Yi, then turned around and made as if to leave.

"Wait a moment."

Qin Yi quickly walked up to Ye Xishui and gently tapped her forehead twice.

"This is the legacy of a puppeteer. Some of the puppet techniques within can enrich your methods of combat. Using them on the field tomorrow will definitely have a miraculous effect."

This time, Qin Yi did not stop Ye Xishui, and watched her walk into Xingluo City.

[Ding, a new mission has been issued: Help Ye Xishui escape the Holy Spirit Cult. Reward: System upgrade; the host's investable targets and investment methods have greatly increased. Failure: The host's browser search history will be disclosed to friends and family from their previous life.]

Qin Yi: "..."

This system is a bit unorthodox.

After estimating that Ye Xishui had already rejoined the team, Qin Yi stepped into Xingluo City.

Hearing the vendors constantly hawking their wares in Xingluo City, Qin Yi realized something was wrong. He seemed to have forgotten to ask Ye Xishui for money. Without the currency of this world, there were many things he couldn't do.

However, it's not a big deal. Qin Yi had done a lot of raiding in the last world, and he had collected a few rare gems, which he could use to make money.

And so, Qin Yi went to the pawnshop, exchanged a sapphire the size of a pigeon egg for 10,000 gold soul coins, ate some candied hawthorns he bought from a street vendor, and read the current affairs news he bought from the pawnshop owner as he walked toward the Starlight Hotel.

The Soul Master Competition has reached the semi-finals. The four teams in the semi-finals are: Shrek Academy team with Mu En, Douling team with Long Xiaoyao, Canglan Academy team with Ye Xishui, and Di'ao Academy team of the Heavenly Soul Empire.

(P.S.: The first three chapters are transitional plot points, and the main storyline will be introduced soon. Subsequent plot points include, but are not limited to, the rebirth of the Great God King Huo, Miss Dong'er enrolling in school in women's clothing, and the Great God King Huo becoming Miss Dong'er's most loyal admirer...)
