I'm a magical girl in the future

Chapter 175 Covert Support

Chapter 175 Covert Support

That's right, that's Kaiyang's plan.

She planned to support "covert assistance" to Noah. After all, this was the prevailing opinion at the meeting, and the issue would most likely pass in the vote.

However, she wanted to limit this support to "a small number of people." The reasoning was simple: if everyone in the Council of Seven provided assistance, Noah would receive too much aid, which would not achieve the desired effect of mutually damaging both her and the future forces.

So, in order to prevent the "future world" from discovering the Civil Defense Bureau's assistance, limiting the help to only one person seems reasonable, right?

"Therefore, I suggest that the matter of secretly assisting Noah should be handled by only one person."

Kaiyang volunteered, "For example, I could do it."

In reality, she had already been helping Noah. The fact that this clandestine aid plan was approved was simply a way of subtly elevating her "private actions" to the status of a decision by the Council of Seven. Noah wouldn't actually receive any more aid.

Kaiyang knew that sitting back and watching the two tigers fight was the best outcome for now, but she was well aware that the guys in the council wouldn't understand that. So she decided to use this method to keep the power to support Noah in her own hands, to prevent others from causing trouble.

"Hmm, that makes sense. Indeed, if too many people do this, the chances of it being discovered increase." Tianquan nodded, indicating his approval of the proposal. "Since Kaiyang is willing to do this, then I'm willing too!" Yaoguang suddenly interjected, "If it's about supporting Noah, leave it to me!"

Kaiyang was stunned. He hadn’t expected that someone would actually want to do something so troublesome.

"I'm not entirely comfortable entrusting this to Yaoguang," Tianxuan said at the opportune moment, glancing at Yaoguang's projection. "You just clearly indicated your willingness to wage war against the future for Noah's sake, didn't you? If this is handed over to you, I seriously suspect that you'll go from secretly supporting her to openly supporting her later on. That's too dangerous."

"Hmph, do you think I'm that kind of person?" Yao Guang scoffed. "I'm currently in Yuehua City, which makes it convenient for me to contact Noah. Wouldn't it be convenient to leave this matter to me?"

"In terms of convenience, it's very convenient for me too," Yuheng stepped forward. "I'm also in Yuehua. Besides, I worked with Noah for a while and I quite like her, so it's more suitable for me to communicate with her."

"Yuheng, aren't you busy dealing with matters related to 'Magical Girl Empty Box'? We won't trouble you with this." Yaoguang smiled. "Leave it to me."

"If you're also coming to Moonblossom City to provide assistance to Noah, wouldn't you have to be stationed there permanently? It's a bit too much for two members of the Seven Council to be permanently stationed in one city, isn't it?" Yuheng retorted, not to be outdone. "To avoid wasting resources, I think it's better to leave it to me."

Watching the two people in front of him argue over who should support Noah, Kaiyang weakly rubbed his forehead.

Why are you even fighting over something like this?!

Looking back now, Yao Guang's expression was clearly excited when she first gave her report, as if she had encountered something good.

I have a feeling that her attitude towards Noah is a bit abnormal.

It seems I'll have to find Yaoguang and ask her about this after the meeting.

Yuheng and Yaoguang were still arguing when Kui Shao interrupted them, "Alright. I think we've basically reached a consensus on how to deal with Noah. We'll resolve the remaining objections with a vote."

She stood up. "The first item on the agenda for this meeting is whether to provide Noah and her companions with non-public, secret, and substantial assistance." Those in favor, please state your opinion.

All seven members of parliament present raised their hands.

"Okay, this issue is passed, and the 'Modify Issue' option cannot be initiated."

This result was expected; we could probably guess this outcome from the previous discussions.

"Now, let's move on to the second question: Who will be the executor of this secret aid mission? Those willing to take on this role, please indicate yourselves."

As expected, Yaoguang, Kaiyang, and Yuheng all raised their hands.

"Now let's vote. You are allowed to vote for yourself."

Those who agree with Yaoguang, please state your opinion.

Yao Guang.

Those who agree with Kaiyang, please state your opinion as Kaiyang, Tianxuan, or Tianji.

Those who agree with Yuheng, please express your opinion on Yuheng, Tianquan, and Tianshu.

"Hmm, are Kaiyang and Yuheng tied?" Kui Biao looked at everyone present and slowly spoke, "According to the rules, those who tie can launch another speech vote."

After saying that, Kui-shao picked up a coin from the table.

"Same as always, choose heads or tails."

"I choose front," Yuheng said.

"Then I'll choose the other side," Kaiyang said casually.

Kui Shao tossed the coin upwards, and after it landed back on the table, he said calmly, "Heads, Yuheng will speak first."

Kaiyang knew that, theoretically, the later speakers had a greater advantage in terms of speaking order. Moreover, she had a plan; she was confident she could win this time.

"I've already explained the specific reasons. I'm currently in Moonblossom City, so if you want to provide assistance to Noah, wouldn't it be better to hand it over to me directly? Sending another member of the Seven Council would be a complete waste, wouldn't it? So, please give this matter much consideration."

After hearing Yuheng's ticket number, Kaiyang inwardly chuckled.

Her strengths were already mentioned during her argument with Yaoguang. Repeating them now won't change those who didn't vote for her before. Kaiyang's only worry was that Yuheng might reveal other advantages of hers. It seems he was overthinking it.

Then, Kaiyang cleared his throat with a cough, "First of all, I want to clarify that we don't need to do the work of secretly supporting Noah ourselves. We can leave it to our subordinates. Whether or not we go to Yuehua City is not important."

"And since I'm the one who proposed this plan, it's most appropriate for me to execute it." Yao Guang Kai Yang turned his head and looked at Yao Guang, who was standing to the side.

Yao Guang was feeling disappointed because she hadn't managed to secure any executors to support Noah, and it was only when Kai Yang called out to her that she snapped out of her daze.

"?Um?!"

"Yaoguang, listen to me. Vote for me now, and we can support Noah together. You can participate in this as well."

As soon as Kaiyang said this, Yuheng immediately realized that they were in trouble.

She never expected that there would be a way to win over Yao Guang!

Because Yao Guang was also a candidate, she subconsciously regarded Yao Guang as a competitor.

Having received Kaiyang's promise, Yaoguang's previously disappointed expression instantly brightened, and she nodded emphatically.

In the subsequent vote, Kaiyang ultimately won by the extra vote.
