Chapter 970 A Place Where Reality Does Not Exist

Chapter 970 A Place Where Reality Does Not Exist

The plot of M Royale can basically be summarized in one sentence: Scarlet Witch, having lost everything, suffers a mental breakdown and alters reality, creating two children of her own to play house. In the end, the heroes who discover the problem forcibly correct it.

That's right, it's all fabricated. Wanda's two children never actually existed, at least not before the publication of *Young Avengers*. Simply put, Wanda wanted children, so Mephisto gave her two souls to create two non-existent children, then took those souls back. Then he said to Wanda: "Just kidding, you didn't actually believe me, did you?"

Then (referring to 15 years later, but in the comics it was only a few months) Wanda went mad and created two major events that had a profound impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the disbandment of the Avengers and the M Royal Family. The former ended the continuity of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe since the Silver Age, opening a new phase and creating conditions for the golden age of Marvel continuity from the New Avengers to Secret Wars 2015.

The latter wiped out more than 99% of mutants in one fell swoop, pushing mutants into an era of near extinction with a total population of only a few hundred, paving the way for the peak of continuity in the mutant storyline.

But as for the story itself, both the disbandment of the Avengers and the M royal family are a mess.

And what Peter was facing now was Wanda, "just a mother," who, in the twisted universe of the M royal family, had "created" her two children again, making it hard to say whether these two children actually existed. Peter didn't know how to start the conversation, but after observing the surroundings of the room, he noticed something amiss.

Simply put, while the outside reality constantly shifts in response to thought, the room Wanda is in remains remarkably stable, unchanged. In other words, Wanda isn't causing a distortion of the outside reality; quite the opposite, she's ensuring the stability of the reality structure within the room.

Peter glanced at his body, which was starting to splatter like ink, said "Sorry," and stepped into the room. Wanda, completely unaware of his presence, was still playing with her children.

"So, this room is actually like a—safe house? In other words, Magneto brought her here."

"You are far more perceptive and intelligent than Reed Richards, Spider-Man. You understood all of this in just a moment's observation."

An unexpected old acquaintance appeared behind Peter. Peter immediately turned around and saw Doom walking in. After a moment of surprise, he realized, "Wait, you're Doom from our universe, right? From universe 616?"

"—Your insight is not bad."

"So, this huge hole wasn't created by Magneto himself, but rather at your and your team's request. Wanda was a necessary part of it, because she was able to create the only relatively stable reality structure in this place, and this force that constantly alters reality is what you're looking for—"

Peter didn't finish speaking because he saw Doom with his arms crossed, waiting for him like an examiner. Peter was speechless for a moment, then looked at Doom: "Were you waiting for me to finish?"

"Exactly. Doom wants to see just how much you can deduce, Spider-Man."

Peter paused for a moment, looked around, but unfortunately there was no one there except Wanda, who was playing with her child. Peter scratched his head, then turned to look at Doom.

"Since your target is Wanda, it means this place has nothing to do with the M royal family. It's an area that can be entered from anywhere. You just need to keep digging downwards—so theoretically, this is the Earth's core, the core of the Fighting World."

Doom nodded approvingly, signaling Peter to continue. Peter then continued somewhat uncertainly, "Without a doubt, your initial goal was—the Earth's core. The Battle Realm is a planet forcibly pieced together from different universes; its size isn't even the same as Earth's, nor are the tectonic plates. So you speculate that there's a force at the Earth's core maintaining the Battle Realm's stability—why don't you think the Transcendent Ones themselves directly created a completely new planet?"

Before Peter could finish speaking, he understood: "Because the Transcendent has brought too many monsters and demons. Even if he could wipe them out instantly, he would need time to repair the entire planet, which would disrupt the stability of the entire Battle Realm. Therefore, he will definitely greatly strengthen the strength of the entire Battle Realm and establish an automatic maintenance mechanism. But he can also keep an eye on it himself at all times—well, expecting the Transcendent to be that dedicated is wishful thinking."

Those who surpass others definitely want to watch the matches more, and will certainly try to find a way to save effort and maintain the fighting world without having to exert themselves.

Whether it's by diverting a portion of their own power or by finding something else to interfere, the Transcendent must have created a complete self-maintenance system for the Battle Realm.

From the very beginning, Doom had no intention of seriously participating in the competition; he had deduced all of this long ago. While everyone else was preparing to fight to the death in the competition, King Doom chose to directly find the power that bound the existence of the Fighting World.

This force is most likely located at the Earth's core, since it would be easily detected if placed in space or elsewhere.

However, judging from the current situation, it seems that even if they are discovered, the transcendents are not worried at all. After all, the reality structure of this place can be said to be completely non-existent. All reality has become a reflection of thought. It can be said that even if others think of this, they will not be able to delve into it.

But Doom had a way. He was the first to find Magneto of the M royal family, recruit him, and use Wanda to fight against the powerful forces here.

And "This power is not the power of the transcendent. Although it is powerful, its essence is no different from that of the Cosmic Cube, only the quantity is different. But Doom can detect that this power from the Earth's core is not the same as the power of the transcendent realm."

"In other words, this is a power that even transcendents cannot control, or at least have not tried to control. This power will become the starting point for Doom to seize the power of transcendents."

Doom bluntly revealed his plan to Peter, who stared at him with a blank expression, showing absolutely no surprise.

But then Peter was surprised when a complete stranger walked in. The man scratched his head and looked at Doom: "Do you think the burger I just ate was real or fake? Oh, hey, hello, Spider-Man."

"This is—"

"Owen Reese, a superhuman."

Holy crap?! Molecular humans?!
