Chapter 201 Are you cosplaying a big-headed doll?

"George, congratulations on your promotion to New York Police Commissioner."

Earth-404, Queens, New York, at George Stacy's home, Russell raises a glass of fresh coconut water to congratulate George.

This is George's third promotion in nearly seven months.

Since the Superhero Registration Act was piloted, in just seven months, George of Earth-404 has completed three leaps, from sheriff to deputy commissioner.

On the one hand, this was due to his good luck; he always received calls from "enthusiastic citizens" and solved cases, big or small.

On the other hand, there are now people at higher levels supporting George's promotion to New York Police Commissioner.

George glared at Russell, but still raised his glass to him, saying, "Russell, you're 21 now, you can drink."

"Gwen doesn't like the taste of alcohol, and neither do I," Russell simply smiled.

He would never say that his tastes have become too discerning lately, and he no longer appreciates the wines at George's.

"It's good that you don't drink. Don't listen to George's nonsense."

Helen Stacy was just bringing a plate of steak out of the kitchen and placing it on the table when she heard George's words and immediately refuted him.

"Helen is right."

Little Gwen, holding her younger brother who was not yet one year old, said seriously from the side.

"I heard that a classmate of mine had a father who liked to drink. When he was drunk, he would beat her and her mother. The last time, her mother had no choice but to shoot and kill her father in order to protect her."

So, George, you'd better drink less.

After hearing this, George silently poured out the wine in his glass and replaced it with milk.

"Don't worry, Gwen, George isn't like that. He doesn't usually get drunk, and even when he is, he won't beat us up."

Helen gently patted little Gwen's head to comfort her.

As he spoke, he beckoned Gwen over to join him, and they raised their glasses together.

Happy Halloween! X5.

At the dinner table, the group chatted about the "Superhero Registration Act" and the supervillains that had recently emerged in New York.

As the bill was implemented, conflicts between superpowered individuals and the government intensified in the United States, and crimes committed by superpowered individuals rose sharply.

The U.S. federal government and various states are also intensifying their crackdown on people with superpowers.

At this moment, some observant people noticed that New York, as an international metropolis, actually held a tolerant and open attitude towards people with superpowers.

Suddenly, superpowered individuals from all over the United States flocked to New York, adding a lot of trouble to George's work.

"I wonder if anyone will take advantage of Halloween tonight to cause trouble," George sighed.

Holidays are a good thing for ordinary people, but not necessarily for police officers like him.

Russell kindly offered George some advice: "George, someone will definitely try to cause trouble tonight."

Gwen swallowed her steak and comforted him, "Don't worry, George, there will be kind people to help you."

Watching the two of them sing in unison, George shook his head helplessly.

What enthusiastic masses? Aren't they all members of the Phantom Band formed by Gwen?

George was quite satisfied that these superpowered individuals weren't causing trouble and were simply relaying messages.

However, George glanced at Russell.

The fact that the Sky Sword Bureau's New York branch, which is responsible for supernatural affairs in the United States, tolerated this kind of borderline behavior is mostly because of Russell's influence.

He was increasingly unable to understand this son-in-law who was a few years younger than him.

George was taken aback and realized that Russell and Gwen had almost finished the steak on his plate, so he quickly grabbed the last piece.

"After dinner, I have to go back to the police station to oversee things. I probably won't be able to get away tonight."

Russell, Gwen, I'm leaving Helen, Gwen Jr., and Philip in your care tonight. Please look after them at the Halloween party later.

"Okay, George, don't worry." Russell nodded, indicating that he would take care of it.

"George, you be careful too," Helen reminded George.

A moment later, the group went downstairs together.

George drove to the police station alone, while Russell and Gwen took Helen and the others to the party.

Gwen donned her Ghost Spider suit after a long absence.

Since the Superhero Registration Act was implemented, she has reduced the frequency of her activities wearing the Spider-Man suit, and her daily routine has become much more regulated.

Even so, Ghost Spider-Man remains the most popular superhero in New York.

Therefore, there are quite a few girls wearing Gwen's ghost spider costume at Halloween parties, so Gwen doesn't have to worry about being recognized.

Charlie Chaplin himself could only get second place in a self-imitation contest, and the Ghost Spider-Man was not much better.

"Hey, Gwen, Russell."

From a distance, Erin Smith waved to Russell and Gwen before jogging over.

Tonight, she also wore her homemade Spider-Man suit, a costume she hadn't worn in a long time.

Happy Halloween, Erin.

After Eileen joined them, Russell and his group of six continued to stroll around the party.

Even with the addition of Irene, a member of the Phantom Band and a sorcerer named Spider-Man, Gwen still wasn't recognized.

Just like how Henry Cavill, who played Superman, could stroll around Times Square in New York wearing a Superman T-shirt and no one would recognize him.

"Gwen, looks like you're past your prime. Nobody recognizes you here," Russell teased.

"Ghost Spider-Man is far from outdated; she's my class's favorite," Little Gwen retorted to Russell.

"My classmates' favorite superhero is also Ghost Spider-Man," Erin echoed Gwen.

Gwen raised an eyebrow, gesturing for Russell to take a closer look at the party.

At the party, the largest number of people were dressed up as Spider-Man in various Spider-Man suits.

"See, Russell. Spider-Man is a great neighbor to New Yorkers. Even though Spider-Man has appeared less often lately, he's still the New Yorker's favorite."

"Gwen, don't forget, there's more than just you, the Ghost Spider-Man, here. There's also the Wizard Spider-Man," Russell laughed.

"Yes, yes, and there's also the Spider-Man sorcerer from the Phantom Band."

Gwen commented that the accents were added to the Phantom Band.

Russell's face darkened.

Seven months after the performance, on Earth-404, the title of Wizard Spider-Man has been taken over by Erin.

Thinking of this, Russell felt a surge of anger and looked at Eileen with ill intent.

Eileen and Gwen had already run ahead and started chatting with two bald humanoid creatures dressed as priests, standing ramrod straight.

"Sir, what are you cosplaying as? Is it an ancient ritual?" Little Gwen asked curiously.

The two people in front of them were dressed in strange clothes, and their behavior was very realistic.

If she could give them scores, Gwen would give them full marks.

"No, little Gwen. They're cosplaying as bobbleheads."

Russell walked behind Gwen and shifted his malicious gaze from Eileen to the two big-headed dolls.

These two big-headed dolls are the two observers who were lucky enough to escape from the blinking field.
