Full-Time Magister: One Evolution Point Per Second

Chapter 90 The Demon's Warning!

Upon hearing this, Tang Yue and Lingling's expressions changed slightly, and they quickly retreated.

Demon soldiers!

Since things have come to this point, this person is basically beyond saving.

This parasitic demon must have noticed the changes in the village and is now testing the waters.

If any trace of itself is exposed, the parasitic demon will not hesitate to wipe out all its demon soldiers.

This is both a test and a threat!

"What should we do? Should we just get rid of him?" Tang Yue asked, her tone tinged with reluctance.

Ye Qiu shook his head. "Subdue him first. We need to find more clues from him."

Since emotional comforting has no effect, it's time to be decisive and efficient.

The next moment, a mental shockwave struck, and the villager, who was still going berserk, collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, Tang Yue and Lingling quickly stepped forward and subdued him to prevent him from going berserk again.

Ye Qiu also quickly stepped forward to carefully examine the man's body.

Sure enough, his neck and arms were also covered with black lines, just like the corpse in the ancestral hall.

"These lines... seem to be spreading," Lingling said softly, pointing to the man's arm.

Ye Qiu nodded, his brows furrowing even more.

"It seems that these patterns are not just traces of parasitism; they are also constantly eroding the host's body and mind."

"What do we do now?" Tang Yue asked, her tone tinged with anxiety.

Ye Qiu pondered for a moment, then said, "We need to split up. Tang Yue, you continue your investigation in the village and see if there are any other suspicious villagers. Lingling, you come with me to the outskirts of the village."

After saying that, Ye Qiu ignored Tang Yue's agreement and left with Lingling.

……

Ye Qiu led Lingling away from the village entrance, and the two walked along the path outside the village toward the woods.

"Do you know where the demon is? Why did you suddenly leave? There are many things in that village that need to be confirmed," Lingling asked as they walked.

Lingling did not object to Ye Qiu's decision.

However, after leaving the village, it was still best to ask directly to find out Ye Qiu's intentions.

Ye Qiu let out a long sigh and shook his head helplessly.

"Phew, as soon as we arrived, demon soldiers appeared. This must be a warning from that demon. I guess this parasitic demon is quite intelligent. The village is probably under surveillance."

Sometimes, even Ye Qiu, with his great strength, finds it difficult to handle.

For example, that's the case right now.

Even though he knew there were parasitic demons here, and even though he knew that a single high-level spell could solve the problem, Ye Qiu was completely helpless.

Very simple!

If this place is completely overrun, the villagers here will surely die.

Because anyone can be the host of a parasitic demon, and once they leave, all previous efforts will be in vain.

Therefore, if a complete annihilation is to be carried out, the entire village must be wiped out to prevent this parasitic demon from causing further harm.

but!

Out of humanitarian considerations, Ye Qiu could not do such a thing; he had to capture the parasitic demon.

You also need to kill the other party without giving them any time to react.

Therefore, Ye Qiu simply left the village to avoid the demons' sight.

Upon hearing this, Lingling was taken aback for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"Indeed, at this time, it is best to get out of the other party's sight."

"Have you found the mode of transmission? We must find it as quickly as possible."

"If nothing unexpected happens, this demon will soon be collecting its final resources."

Originally, if Tang Yue and the others hadn't discovered it, this place would most likely have become the lair of this parasitic demon.

but!

Now that it has been discovered, this parasitic demon will most likely begin to take action.

For example, the parasitic demons might commit mass suicide.

This kind of collective suicide is actually an act of transferring energy to the host. In addition, if this suicide ritual is completed, the person being parasitized will have all their life drained and die directly.

The demon soldiers who died earlier were like that!

Ye Qiu was aware of the urgency of the situation, but shook his head helplessly.

"I'm not sure either, but since it can infect villagers, its main body is likely near the village."

"Let's look around here first and rule out factors outside the village."

Ye Qiu's idea was very simple.

The spread of demons is limited to this one village.

That represents the way the demon spreads its infection, and there are only two possibilities.

Either you enter the village through a fixed method, which is a very small chance.

The latest novel is first published here!

Either there are changes within the village, which spread in a way that permeates the villagers' daily lives.

Ye Qiu first determined whether the first type existed.

Lingling, the master demon hunter, understood immediately and instantly grasped Ye Qiu's thoughts.

The two quickly ran a lap around the village.

The two quickened their pace and soon arrived at the woods outside the village.

The forest was not dense, but the trees were tall, with thick branches and leaves that blocked out the sun.

Along the way, Lingling used these special instruments to test, while Ye Qiu used his mental power to scan and confirm little by little.

However, not a single extra trace, or even energy, was found from beginning to end.

Even if there are some traces of demons, they are all slave-level demons.

However, there is no way.

That's what villages are like!

Located on the outskirts of the city, it lacks any special protection.

In this era, it's quite normal for servant-level demons to appear near villages.

The demon-hunting team's daily patrols also prioritize the areas near villages.

The two continued on their way, carefully searching through the woods.

As Ye Qiu walked, he released his mental perception, trying to catch a trace of the parasitic demon.

Suddenly, he sensed a faint energy fluctuation coming from deep within the forest.

"Something's happening over there!" Ye Qiu's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately rushed towards the direction of the energy fluctuations.

Soon, Ye Qiu followed the ripple and quickly arrived at an abandoned ancestral hall.

The ancestral hall was dilapidated, with cracks all over the walls and half of the roof collapsed.

Ye Qiu cautiously entered the ancestral hall and found a dry well in the center. The well was surrounded by weeds, making it look extremely desolate.

"Something's not right here," Lingling's voice rang out behind Ye Qiu.

Lingling's gaze swept around and finally settled on the dry well.

"This well..." Lingling frowned, as if she had discovered something.

however……

Faced with Lingling's question, Ye Qiu's tone became somewhat serious.

"Phew, stop looking there! We seem to have underestimated that demon. We appear to be surrounded!"
