Chapter 582 Archimonde: Shameless rune, you actually stole my skill!

"You just need to kill the ones who slip through the net here, and don't let any insectoid escape." Rune said this and then walked straight into the beetle wall.

Over a long period of time, the world inside the walls has become a ruin overrun by alien insects.

A dark red fungal carpet covered the earth, and the air was filled with a nauseatingly sweet and pungent smell. Countless twisted alien insect nests bulged out like tumors, and wriggling insects scurried between the nests, emitting piercing hisses.

Zerg and Qiraji are pouring out of their nests, their forms varied, but under the command of the Twin Emperors, they surge toward Rune like a tide.

Rune bent down and placed his hands on the fungal carpet covering the ground. Dark magic seeped into the soil from his fingertips, deepening its color.

But this was not the end, but the beginning. The earth began to tremble violently, and countless clods of earth surged, coalesced, and under Rune's terrible will, transformed into enormous puppets.

These clay golems are as tall as five stories. Their bodies are made entirely of stones that have been gathered together by dark magic. The stone surfaces are covered with sharp stone spikes. Their entire bodies are burning with dark flames, and their arms have been transformed into thick stone hammers or sharp stone blades. Each one exudes a suffocating sense of oppression.

However, if Archimonde the Polluter saw this scene, he would definitely demand royalties from Rune! That's my signature move, Rain of Chaos!

However, Archimonde is still waiting to be resurrected, and even if he were still alive, Rune wouldn't care about the thoughts of a loser.

"Crush them," Rune commanded softly, his voice carrying an unquestionable authority.

Immediately, the hellfires let out a deep roar and marched heavily toward the horde of alien insects.

The stone hammer fell, flattening swarms of alien insects. Acid sprayed onto the puppet, leaving only shallow marks, which were instantly repaired by Rune's dark magic. The stone blade swept across, splitting the flying alien insects in two, and dark green insect blood sprayed onto the ground, corroding small pits.

These hellfires are tireless and fearless of pain. They are creations of runic dark magic and extensions of its terrible will. They burn with an incessant flame, and even the corpses of insectoids become fuel for their activities.

The puppets continued their advance, battling the swarm of insects, while Rune himself continued casting spells, chanting ancient and obscure incantations, and dark red flames spontaneously ignited—

The fiery flames, capable of devouring all energy when burning, ignited across the land of the Dark Empire, accompanied by the power of dark curses. They transformed into all sorts of ferocious monsters, darting through the swarms of insects. Wherever they passed, the insectoids turned to ashes, and even the fungal carpet on the ground was ignited.

However, the insectoids themselves are killing machines created by the Old Gods. The vast majority of insectoids do not have their own will. They are in a daze and are divided into classes from birth. Only a small portion of each class possesses intelligence, and the intelligence of this portion of insectoids is limited to understanding the words of the Twin Emperors and Rajax.

Therefore, when faced with this terrifying Fiendfire and a large number of Hellfires, they actually showed no fear of death. The powerful defense provided by their chitinous carapaces also allowed them to achieve some victories by sheer numbers.

Some of the hellfire was completely overwhelmed by the endless swarm of insects, while some Fiendfire was extinguished under the cover of magically imbued acid. Even the Fiendfire, from the Harry Potter universe and said to be able to incinerate everything, seemed somewhat powerless against the kin of the Old Gods.

Fortunately, Fiendfire received Rune's help, and the infusion of dark magic allowed the dying Fiendfire to reignite and transform the entire area into a hellish inferno.

Meanwhile, unknown creatures would occasionally emerge from behind the attacked insectoids. These monsters, born from nightmares, would launch unrestrained attacks on the insectoids.

What is the nightmare of the Qiraji and the Zerg?

Rune discerned something from the appearance of these monsters—the insectoids and alien insects were most afraid of their own kind—or perhaps their superiors?

No longer worrying about these trivial matters, Rune and his army began to advance steadily. Dark magic condensed around him into black energy arrows that automatically locked onto their targets and shot at the powerful alien insects that tried to approach.

These energy arrows, made of dark magic, can easily penetrate the hard shell of the Zerg, quickly digest its internal organs, and then either return to the Rune's embrace or simply explode inside its body.

Occasionally, a few survivors might manage to break through the triple defenses of nightmare creatures, Fiendish Curse, and hellfire, either by luck or skill, and reach the powerful dark mage, but that's about it.

Before they could even launch their first attack, these insectoids, capable of fighting the Night Elves' backbone—the Huntresses—would be reduced to a puddle of pus because they couldn't withstand the dark magic emanating from them.

"Outsider, you shall not disturb the slumber of the ancient gods!" A roar came from the depths of the ruins, and a huge, deformed worm rushed out.

It is Kurinnax, a giant sandworm predator.

However, before Kurinnax could truly unleash his power, Rune flashed and instantly appeared beside him. Dark magic condensed in his palm into a slender dark spear, the tip of which burned with black flames.

Kurinnax realized something was wrong. He let out a piercing screech and turned to pounce on Rune, trying to smash him into a pulp.

However, it was too late. Rune gently handed over the spear, and the weapon pierced through Kurinnax's chitinous shell as smoothly as a hot knife through butter.

Worse still, driven by the transformation spell, the spear turned into a centipede, frantically burrowing into the worm's interior. Kurinnax roared in agony, his body thrashing violently, his muscles expanding and contracting as he tried to kill the terrifying creature made of dark magic.

However, this centipede formed from magic was exceptionally tenacious, penetrating deep into its body in just a few seconds before exploding instantly.

boom!

The immense impact tore the insect's body apart from the inside, and dark green blood mixed with shattered internal organs gushed out. After this sandworm raider died, many insectoids began to malfunction; having lost their leader, they were quickly slaughtered in batches by the pirated Hellfire.

But Rune did not relax. Not far away, Qiraji gladiators, Zora stingers and the like were pouring out, and their military commander, the powerful General Rajaxx, was eyeing him covetously.

The Anubisath Guardians were also gathering, advancing slowly under the leadership of Ossirian the Scarless.

Other leaders are also pressing closer. The Twin Emperors have seen Rune's power, so they are gathering the millennia of accumulated strength of their Dark Empire, intending to kill this otherworldly mage who dared to offend them.
