Chapter 549 He's a great druid, yet he's still henpecked?

Malfurion has never ventured into the dark realm, and it's quite normal for him to mistake demons for lackeys of the dark side. The six Forces can be roughly divided into two camps: Chaos, Death, and the Void in one camp, and Light, Order, and Life in another.

But in reality, even the Light and Order will fight tooth and nail, and Chaos and the Void are also locked in a fierce struggle—the Burning Crusade, which Sargeras, the representative of Chaos in the physical universe, is pushing forward, is a direct confrontation with the Void.

"Of course I'm willing to dispel the darkness within him—"

Rune's words relieved Malfurion. After all, Fandral was an important figure among the Night Elves. Although he did have many problems, he had indeed contributed to helping Azeroth resist the Burning Legion and the Old Gods.

Furthermore, the power represented by Savas was indeed too tempting—this dark mage from another world was naturally willing to dispel the darkness within him.

"However, to catch the culprit who corrupted Fandral, we need to enter the Emerald Dream." Rune looked at Malfurion, and with a gentle wave of his left hand, the terrible dark power, as if finding its father, entered the mage's hand with great joy.

Darkness is the projection of the Void into the material world. And the Void itself is the most generous of the Forces. It doesn't care whether the creature in front of it has slandered it or is its enemy. As long as it wants to seek knowledge, the Void will open its heart to it.

When Rune entered this universe, his powerful and unique dark magic delighted the Void, and the various Void Lords were overjoyed.

Why would these Void Lords create countless Old Gods and spread them throughout every corner of the material universe in an attempt to corrupt a Star Soul? It's simply because of jealousy.

These Void Lords had been secretly monitoring the Pantheon, watching the Titans travel between worlds, spreading the will of the Force of Order, which made these powerful beings extremely jealous.

Why can you so freely promote order in the material universe, while we can only drool over it in the distorted void? This is unfair! We too will spread the will of the void throughout the material universe!

But under the tacit siege of the Light Force and the Chaos Force, they have almost never succeeded.

But—look at this! A powerful mage whose strength rivals that of a Titan, and whose nature leans towards darkness! My God, today is truly the Void's lucky day!

Thus, the void power originally intended to corrupt Fandral, upon seeing Rune, immediately disdained this weak mortal body and instead entered Rune's body. This attitude was simply—

"That's a bit too obsequious—" Thrall whispered to Malfurion, who nodded with a complicated expression. He had never seen that terrifying dark power so subservient—

Rune naturally took the opportunity to connect with the Void Force. He tried to persuade the Void Force to stop corrupting Azeroth, but the Void Force simply sent a message into Rune's mind and then left.

Unsurprisingly, he rejected his request.

Death, life, order, chaos, and even light are all eyeing Ai-chan covetously. Since that's the case, one more or one less won't make a difference, and the void certainly won't be absent.

However, if Rune could persuade the other five to stop fighting and dedicate his life to promoting the Void Path in the Star Sea, perhaps the Void Force would not have corrupted this powerful Star Soul.

But that's impossible. The other five Force members wouldn't abandon Azeroth, and he himself couldn't possibly spend his life spreading dark power across the stars.

So he could only sigh. However, the Void Force was very generous and gave Rune a blessing as it left. Instantly, countless eyes seemed to open in the shadows, each reflecting a different starry sky.

They gazed at him, their eyes piercing through flesh and blood, trying to touch the essence of his soul, but were obscured by a hazy mist.

But the ritual continued, ancient knowledge surged forth like a tide, and the mysteries of the universe were laid bare. He saw the birth and death of stars, how time bends into a circle, and that reality is but a bubble among countless possibilities.

Darkness flowed along his veins, forming ever-changing totems beneath his skin. The surrounding shadows were rioting, even extending tentacles to climb onto everything around them.

Thrall channeled the power of the elements; fire, gales, water, and earth relentlessly pounded against these profaning objects. Malfurion unleashed pure white flames, Jaina's frost spells attempted to freeze the writhing tentacles, and Baine's body blazed with crimson fury—

The shadow disturbance didn't last long; Rune's powerful magical manipulation abilities quickly brought the scene back to calm.

"I apologize," Rune's voice still carried multiple echoes, but quickly returned to mono. A vast amount of knowledge had been broken down into fragments of memory surrounding him, quietly awaiting the mage's use. "The blessing of the void is indeed delightful, isn't it?"

If Rune were just an ordinary mage, this place would probably be an inaccessible place by now; the void is just that unreasonable in its generosity.

Everyone present, including Malfurion, was stunned. Malfurion said helplessly, "I had hoped you could save Fandral Staghelm, but I didn't expect you to be a source of corruption as well—I underestimated you."

"Don't be so wary of me, and don't discriminate too much against darkness. It has its own justice," Rune replied with a smile. "Rogues, priests, and other professions come into contact with the power of the void, yet they are never ensnared by it. Power is never divided into good and evil."

The six fundamental forces each have their own righteousness.

"What you say makes a lot of sense, but let's discuss how to save Fandral!" Thrall looked at Malfurion; they had no other choice.

Malfurion frowned, but Tyrande already had her hands on his waist, and Rune saw her fingers spin at least three times!

"Let's set off now," Malfurion said to Rune with a calm expression, then turned to Tyrande. "Fandar is in your hands. Please don't let him roam freely for now."

He was still not entirely trusting of this unfamiliar and powerful mage, and hoped that Tyrande, as a follower of Elune, could use the power of the gods to examine him again.

He believed that Elune would not be deceived by a mere dark mage.

"The Emerald Dream is a vast and ever-changing dimension composed of spiritual and natural magic. It overturns mortals' perception of reality. In this intangible realm, time and distance have no meaning; a day in the material world feels like decades in the dream!"

Malfurion spoke softly of the characteristics of the Emerald Dream, "Creatures of Azeroth can visit here in physical form or in dreams."

When an individual's soul leaves the body and wanders in dreams, it manifests as a dream form that resembles the physical body in appearance and behavior.

"But that doesn't apply to druids, does it?" Rune looked at Malfurion, whose green light indicated that he was trying to use druidic magic to lure the dark mage into the Emerald Dream.

Malfurion nodded in surprise.

The Emerald Dream is the Druids' home turf. If Rune has any other ideas about this place, Malfurion will surely call upon Ysera to join him in delivering a fatal blow to this dark mage.

Malfurion was unwilling to bring the mage into the Emerald Dream simply because he didn't want to disturb the peace there.
