Chapter 541 X-Men are transformed into Parademons, what kind of talk is this?
In this world, those who can rival Rune are either not in Azeroth or are still fast asleep.
Sargeras, the master of the Chaos Force, was still plotting how to re-enter Azeroth. The Void Lords, the embodiment of the Void Force, had the means to interfere with reality, meaning the Old Gods were still asleep, while the Naaru, creations of the Light Force, were unsuitable for combat.
Of the remaining three Forces, the Jailer, a derivative of the Death Force, is attempting to seize control of Azeroth and has already gained considerable influence. However, since the Lich King and his cronies have not yet arrived, it is simply a pipe dream to think that the Lich King and his incompetent followers can defeat Rune.
Sargeras's Titans, creations of the Force of Order, were indeed very strong, but they were either killed by Sargeras himself, leaving only their souls, or they were exiled in the vast universe and had no time to fight against Rune himself.
The Force of Life is now reduced to a few wild demigods still roaming the world, some of whom are now just souls, living out their days in the Emerald Dream. These demigod-level beings can't even defeat Archimonde, let alone runes.
As the perfect being about to be born in the entire universe, the six Forces have never stopped vying for her. If Rune himself didn't have the strength, how could he dare to say he would deliver Azeroth?
These few people before me are not even close to being demigods, let alone legendary figures—
To put it another way, the reason Rune didn't kill them outright for their offense was simply because these guys of different races unexpectedly reminded him of the days when he used to run dungeons in his dormitory.
That was one of the few times he had time to relax in that world.
Rune finally looked at the only one who hadn't attacked him, the one whose face was covered in cold sweat. She was a human woman, of average appearance, but with a resolute face, and the warhammer in her hand was still gleaming with a faint golden light.
"Paladin?" Rune asked. In Azeroth, each class has its own unique light effect, such as the dark green of fel energy, the blue-purple of arcane energy, and the red of rage energy. Of course, judging a class by its color is not always accurate.
"Yes, a powerful spellcaster." In response to Rune's question, the paladin glanced at the others who were also being forced to eat dirt on the ground, and nodded shakily.
Rune approached the female paladin, wanting to tease her, "Give me a reason to let you go?"
The orc lying on the ground roared in anger, and the other squad members also tried to struggle, but their feeble struggles were insignificant in the face of Rune's power.
The paladin took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, and said in a firm and sincere tone, "Please forgive my companion's recklessness. But we are currently in the midst of war, facing an enemy who intends to destroy our world. This terrible pressure has filled us with excessive vigilance towards any unknown."
She also pointed to the torn marks in the sky and the mothership that was faintly visible in the distance.
Rune frowned. He hadn't had time to look at the stalker's memories of the mothership; he had assumed it was a war machine produced by the Iron Horde in another timeline or a Draenei starship or something.
Although Azeroth is a world themed around swords and magic, other civilizations exist beyond this planet, some of which have even developed spaceships capable of flying through the universe, such as the ethereal beings and the naaru.
So Rune didn't initially care about the strange warship looming in the sky, but when the female knight said that the ship was trying to destroy them, the otherworldly being began to wonder.
The Voidlings are interstellar travelers who live in the Twisting Nether. They originally came from the planet Kalesh, but that planet was devoured by a Void Lord. The original flesh and blood bodies of the Voidlings were also eroded by chaotic energy, losing their physical shells. They can only maintain their form by wrapping their souls in enchanted cloths.
However, ethereal beings prefer to engage in trade. Although they are extremely greedy and unscrupulous, they will not bother with others unless their trade is hindered.
As for the Naaru, that's even more impossible. As creations of the Holy Light, they are born to be altruistic and have an insatiable desire for self-sacrifice. Except for a very few extreme individuals, these creatures, who seem to have become sentient symbols, would rather be imprisoned and have their energy extracted than attack other creatures.
The Iron Horde is a possibility, but they probably wouldn't go so far as to destroy Azeroth.
"As you can see, our world is under invasion. We, the Alliance and the Horde, are the last line of defense for this world. Your power—far exceeds our imagination."
After saying that, she swallowed hard, and seeing that Rune did not question her, she continued, "We have no intention of being your enemy. On the contrary, we desperately need any possible assistance."
Rune assumed a waiting posture, then began to carefully examine the thief's memories, and successfully spotted the highly recognizable red ray and soldier.
Isn't this just Omega rays and Paradoxes? No!
Rune's expression immediately turned serious. Even though these Parademons had undergone brutal physical modifications and were wearing heavy armor, he still recognized some of the famous figures among them.
Hey you, the guy who can extend a pair of steel claws and isn't afraid of death, what happened to your inverted triangle hairstyle? And you, Cyclops, don't think I won't recognize you just because you're bald!
"Did they just steal the entire X-Men franchise? Can Huawei afford Disney's licensing fees?" Rune scoffed helplessly. "Oh right, I forgot, Huawei is getting acquired soon. No wonder they're so arrogant—"
The poor female paladin couldn't understand Rune's words at all, and could only stand there awkwardly, listening quietly until he finished speaking before timidly saying, "My companion attacked you; it was his mistake, and I apologize on his behalf. But please understand, our world is in imminent danger—"
"Alright, alright," Rune waved his hand. The paladin, thinking Rune had refused him, dimmed his eyes considerably. But the powerful mage continued, "Take me to see Jaina and Thrall immediately! You have no idea what you're dealing with!"
Upon hearing this, the paladin's face lit up with joy. She instinctively straightened up and loudly replied, "Yes!"
If this were an internal dispute between the Alliance and the Horde, Rune wouldn't care at all; no matter how much these two powers fight, it won't damage the foundation of Azeroth.
But when it comes to outsiders, things are different. This being, suspected to be Darkseid, is clearly a Forsaken from the Multiverse and obviously possesses parademonic modification technology, making him no less dangerous than the Burning Legion.
not to mention----
Rune looked at the portal in the sky. Logically, after a successful teleportation, the caster would close the portal. The reason why the Dark Lord did not close the portal was obviously because something had not yet entered.
