Chapter 539 New Job Got! Midwife

Chapter 539 New Job Got! Midwife (not really)

Strange, this world seems a little different.

Rune used his magic to carefully sense this new world, but the deeper he went, the more confused he became, until his magic penetrated to a certain level and his eyes widened.

With a whoosh, he soared into the sky. Once the oxygen was thin, Rune looked down at the entire planet, and famous landmarks such as Azshara and Mount Hyjal came into view.

Without a doubt, this is Azeroth.

Rune sighed. No wonder he had just sensed a powerful life being conceived. This life was destined to become the strongest Titan—provided she could be born successfully.

If he were to lend a hand, perhaps this Titan could become his ally? After all, with the Old Gods and the Burning Legion causing trouble, her future is essentially uncertain.

But why is there a warship on the horizon that doesn't fit the technology of World of Warcraft at all? Is the Iron Horde in another timeline that technologically advanced?

Rune could even see many of the soldiers going in and out, like little bees.

However, he didn't investigate further. To him, those orcs were nothing more than ants. The most important thing now was to protect the pregnancy, and Rune had no intention of getting involved in the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance.

Back on the ground, Rune placed his hands on the earth and murmured softly, "Don't worry, with me here, you'll definitely be free. Don't forget to help me then—"

The ground trembled slightly, as if in response to him.

Now, it's not too late. Rune believes that the continuous mental attacks from the Old Gods over the years are nothing compared to the damage Sargeras, the leader of the Burning Legion, inflicted on Azeroth.

That happened during Legion, when Gul'dan opened a portal for the demons on the Broken Isles. The Burning Legion surged forth from the fel storm above the Tomb of Sargeras.

Although Azeroth ultimately survived the invasion, Sargeras ultimately plunged his sword into Silithus. This act caused cracks to appear on the planet's surface, resulting in a massive loss of its "lifeblood" and the emergence of a material called Azerite on the earth's surface.

Fortunately, Rune didn't see the giant sword in Kalimdor, so he believed there was still hope.

However, the tremors of the ground were not actually a response from Azeroth. She was still young and lacked nutrition, so why would she expend precious energy to respond to the runes?

The twilight in Kalimdor was gloomy; the once vibrant purples and warm oranges that painted the sky were now tainted by more grotesque colors. That damned monster and his warship circled overhead like a greedy vulture.

The soldiers believed that the monster was trying to find the weakness of the continent and then take a big bite out of it.

On this land already engulfed in the multiverse war, the fragile Alliance and Horde united to form the Alliance of Azeroth. This organization appeared so vulnerable in the face of warships and endless armies, yet it still survived the storm. It had two leaders: Jaina and Thrall.

These two leaders, from different backgrounds, disagreed on many things, but they both agreed on one point: to send out patrol teams to search for any possible intelligence, equipment, and manpower in the scorched earth and swamps.

Especially the enemy's terrible weapons and armor, each piece was as if made by the finest dwarven craftsmen and meticulously polished by jewelers and enchanters, sturdy, sharp, and lightweight, but given the number of soldiers, this was simply impossible!

Perhaps the artisans within the Alliance of Azeroth can deduce the manufacturing processes of these weapons and armor.

Among these patrol teams, a squad codenamed Rust Blade was trudging through the mud in the southern Dustwallow Marsh.

The composition of this squad was incredibly complex. At the very front was a tall troll rogue, followed by orc warriors from the Horde, a human paladin bringing up the rear, and a tauren shaman and a human mage in the middle, protected by the others.

"This damned mud, and these damned bugs, damn it all—" the mage cursed under his breath, a spark of arcane energy flashing across his body, instantly vaporizing several insects that tried to bite him. "Why are we here looking for those damned soldiers and their equipment? Aren't they all at Mount Hyjal right now?"

"Shut up, human!" the orc warrior replied without turning his head. His voice was deep and hoarse, his green skin was covered in mud, and his two fangs protruded from his lips, making him look extremely ferocious.

The female paladin on the other side pulled a scroll from her person. "Our mission isn't just to find those soldiers called Parademons and their equipment, but also to search for any unusual energy fluctuations to prevent a surprise attack—"

The tauren shaman slapped his forehead and sighed, "Here we go again."

The thief and the mage sighed as well; this old-fashioned woman was about to launch into another long-winded discourse.

However, just as the others were about to cover their ears, the paladin stopped speaking, widened his eyes, raised his fist, and signaled everyone to stop.

She felt a subtle stinging sensation from the holy light, a deep, dark energy fluctuation that strangely contained a certain order.

"There's something!" she whispered, her sharp gaze sweeping across a patch of woodland surrounded by twisted, dead trees. "Very strong."

A very strong energy reaction, but—”

The paladin's eyes were filled with confusion; this power and magic seemed ambiguous, and she had never experienced such a feeling before.

The orc gestured towards the rogue, who immediately understood and silently disappeared into the shadows. A few minutes later, he returned like a ghost, his dry voice carrying a rare hint of hesitation, "That seemed to be—a powerful human."

The squad members immediately assumed combat stance. The orc warrior first subdued the rogue and asked in a low voice, "Are you under control? — Never mind, I shouldn't have asked you."

After saying that, he tied up the rogue and threw him on the ground. Then he told the druid to return to the camp and notify the others, while the orc warrior led the other squad members to carefully surround the rogue in a fan shape.

The stalker lying on the ground wanted to say something, but the words wouldn't come out.

When the stalker approached the human, he simply waved his hand, and he was uncontrollably pulled in front of the other, and then—

The feeling that followed was hard to describe; the Stalker could only describe it as if he were watching a replay of his life before he died. In short, this human was definitely not someone to mess with!
