Chapter 390 Death Knell: First Question, Then Question

This dark magic is similar in nature to runes' Devouring Magic and Fiendfyre.

Once it enters the human body, it breaks down parts such as the brain, converting them into more dark magic. It then directly controls the host to devour other living creatures, spreading the dark magic while also converting the flesh and blood it ingests into even more dark magic.

Rune has not yet seen how powerful the zombies become after acquiring a large amount of flesh and blood, but he imagines that this dark magic will be used to strengthen their bodies.

When the flames touched the zombie's body, a dim rune suddenly appeared on the grayish-white skin and flickered for a moment, but was quickly consumed by the Fiery Blaze.

Rune narrowed his eyes upon seeing this.

The first to rush in would undoubtedly be the zombies that had eaten the most humans and were the fastest, so the dark magic within them would be stronger. However, contrary to Rune's prediction, the dark magic did not immediately strengthen their bodies.

Or rather, at least most of the dark magic didn't immediately strengthen the body, but instead formed runes on the body's surface.

Harley didn't feel any heat, so she asked, but the clown had already started using his stick. He picked up a branch from the roadside and walked over to a zombie that had been burned to a head.

The clown used all his strength to smash the zombie's head away, then fixed his gaze on the spot where the head had landed.

Snapped!

The head finally hit the ground, and the clown laughed loudly, "Look, a home run!"

"My little Pudding, this is clearly a hole-in-one!" Harley Quinn was inspired by the Joker and wanted to try it too. So she took out the wand that Rune had enchanted for her and searched around for the same zombie heads. She wanted to play with the Joker too.

Deathstroke didn't watch these two lunatics go crazy. Even in Gotham, few people could understand the thought process of these two guys. Moreover, he stared wide-eyed with his remaining eye beneath his mask.

If Rune knew, he would definitely make the clown give up. Harley was using a staff that she had enchanted herself, something with an enchantment that enhances the user's power.
