Chapter 205 Wanda's Peaceful Life

Chapter 205 Wanda's Peaceful Life

"You're responsible!" Tony stormed up to Rune, clearly angered by Rune's leak.

In fact, Tony did settle down after marrying Pepper. This womanizing man truly loved Pepper, especially since Pepper in this world also had a magnetic field generator in her chest, which added a touch of destiny to their love.

Rune knew he was in the wrong, so he nodded. But appeasing a woman was incredibly easy for him. Rune pulled a small bottle, about the size of an index finger, from inside his clothes; it contained a white liquid. He handed the bottle over. Stark, though somewhat puzzled about its contents, took it nonetheless.

"What is this thing?" Tony looked at the bottle with a puzzled expression, then unscrewed the cap and took a sniff. A strange fragrance and sweetness wafted out. "Don't tell me this contains cheap, 20-cent bottles of sweet water."

"Actually, it's a beauty and skin-nourishing potion," Rune replied. This thing is one of the achievements of those potion masters in the Harry Potter world. Even on the magical side, potions with beauty and skin-nourishing effects are still a highly profitable product. Apart from longevity potions with ginseng as the main ingredient, beauty potions with white fungus, red dates, and goji berries as the main ingredients are the fastest to be developed.

"Does this really work?"

"Of course, and the effect is excellent." Rune nodded firmly: "You can use it as much as you want, but this time it's free."

Consider this my apology.

"I feel like I'm trapped by you." Tony Stark glared at Rune, then gave the Kents an apologetic gesture again before leaving. Pepper was upstairs; he had to go and try.

Seeing the Avengers' professionalism, the Kents left reassured. Before leaving, they instructed Clark to listen to Steve.

As Rune opened the portal, he glanced back at Clark, who was happily chatting with Thor and Steve. Rune had no doubt that Clark would become a hero, but perhaps one day in the future, Clark would fight him alongside certain others, shouting things like, "This is the bond between us!"

Who knows?

"come on."

After saying that, Rune led the raven and the Kent couple through the portal and returned to the farm.

"I can't believe our child can become a hero." Martha's expression was complex; she felt a mix of emotions—positive feelings like joy and pride, as well as negative feelings like reluctance and worry. But in the end, she said, "Thank you, Rune."

"It's what I should do," Rune said, then looked at Jonathan, who seemed lost in thought. Rune couldn't understand their feelings at that moment, because he didn't have a son who would become some great hero.

In the end, Rune left the strangely atmospherey house with the raven.

Raven followed silently behind Rune. Her reluctance to speak, coupled with the influence of dark magic, often caused others to ignore her. Fortunately, she was willing to say a few words when she was with Rune.

"Where are we going?"

Rune smiled and said, "I'll take you to meet your new teacher."

The raven pursed its lips: "I still want to learn magic with you, teacher. I don't want to learn with anyone else—."

"You should have noticed that my research on dark magic isn't very in-depth, which is why I need to find you a new teacher." Rune crouched down so that his eyes could look directly at the raven. He was telling the truth. Although he now possessed powerful dark magic, Rune was still most proficient in white magic, and the dark magic books he had just stolen from Kamar-Taj were pitifully few.

It's easy to imagine that, after all, it's the most orthodox magic academy on Earth, so the curriculum would definitely lean more towards white magic. On the other hand, black magic mages, who use high-interest loans with many repayment requirements and whose creditors are not to be trifled with, have an alarmingly high mortality rate. Black magic is not easy to pass down to the present day, and if it weren't for special individuals like Scarlet Witch, Rune could say that black magic in the Marvel Universe has already declined.

In short, he is currently in a very awkward situation: the magic he is good at is not suitable for Raven, while the magic he is not good at is suitable for Raven.

But Raven was clearly unhappy; she pouted, her face full of reluctance: "But I just want to learn from you—"

"Stop fooling around." Rune rubbed her little head, then opened the portal, and even though Raven was unwilling, she had no choice but to step into it.

Rune didn't open a dimensional portal; it was just an ordinary portal. On the other side of the portal was a very ordinary house with white wooden walls, red tiles, a path paved with red bricks, a rocking chair outside the door, and many plants on the windowsill and in the yard. It seemed that the homeowner had carefully decorated their house.

Rune walked to the door, knocked, and a female voice came from inside.

"Coming, coming! Who is it?"

The woman who opened the door had long brown hair with slightly curled ends, high cheekbones, and full lips, which made her look both beautiful and dangerous—in fact, she herself was.

"Hello, Wanda," Rune said with a smile. "It's me."

Wanda, dressed in casual clothes, immediately opened her arms and hugged Rune when she saw him arrive.

"Thank you, my friend." Wanda happily invited Rune to come in and tour her house. Compared to the powerful aura she exuded when they first met, Wanda now seemed more like an ordinary, beautiful woman.

Rune led Raven into Wanda's house. The interior was a typical open-plan layout, and the old oak floors creaked faintly, almost inaudibly, as Rune walked. Raven, already sensing the presence of its kind, was now huddled behind Rune.

"How have you been lately?"

"Very good, it's peaceful here, no mutants, no villains." She said with a smile, and showed her hands to the little girl behind Rune. There was nothing in them, but after a flash of red light, Wanda suddenly had a lollipop in her hand.

Raven glanced at Rune, then at Wanda, and hesitantly accepted the lollipop from Scarlet Witch's hand.

"Eat up," Wanda said with a smile. She had long sensed the special nature of the little girl Rune had brought. The deep, mysterious, powerful, and volatile dark power was very similar to the chaotic magic within her. This feeling of encountering another version of herself was truly wonderful.

Raven took a bite; the lollipop was sweet, and the pleasure it brought quickly bridged the gap between her and Wanda.
