Chapter 203 Marvel Science is Actually a Kind of Mysticism

Iron Man donned a glamorous, form-fitting silver "suit" and accompanied Steve to welcome the Rune family.

Rune immediately noticed the difference in Iron Man's suit, so he raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is the symbiote suit research complete?"

"Of course!" Tony Stark patted his suit of armor, his smile exceptionally bright. "With my intelligence, I finished this suit of armor in less than three hours after you provided the idea."

Tony was obviously exaggerating, but the key point was that if Rune didn't use mind reading, he couldn't see any flaws in Tony's face—it was as if he really had made the symbiote suit in three hours.

This is truly outrageous, even though I've long known that the science in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is, strictly speaking, metaphysics.

The scientists here are like the Greenskins in the Warhammer world; I thought they could quickly create some kind of amazing weapon, but when I actually saw this unscientific speed of research and development, Rune couldn't help but marvel.

These are Marvel's scientists! They're really something to learn from.

Steve had changed into a gray suit and stood straight beneath Avengers Tower.

At Fury's request, he will remain one of the leaders of the Avengers, but will no longer fight under the name Captain America. This makes sense; even compared to powerful members like Thor and Scarlet Witch, Steve is just an ordinary person injected with the Super Soldier Serum. His value has never been in his own fighting prowess, but rather in his charisma and extraordinary leadership skills.

"Welcome to Avengers Tower." After boasting to Rune, Stark opened his arms and smiled as he introduced Avengers Tower to Martha and Jonathan. The building was originally an asset of Stark Industries, donated by Tony to all the Avengers, and would provide them with housing, training equipment, and medical facilities.

Martha seemed to have a good impression of this confident, flamboyant, yet very teacher-like man. She smiled as Tony proudly introduced the structure of the entire building. This man reminded her of Jonathan when he was young, while Jonathan was listening attentively.

"That's right, this place has the most advanced medical facilities on Earth." Stark pointed to the unusual-looking treatment equipment. "I can tell you very clearly that this nanotherapy approach is hundreds of years ahead of the rest of the world."

"So, is this technology available throughout the United States?" Jonathan suddenly asked.

Stark shook his head regretfully.

"I'm sorry, I also hope to make this technology available in all private and public hospitals across the United States—" He pursed his lips, seemingly very dissatisfied with the current situation: "But CyberTech Systems blocked it, citing reasons such as the high price and the need to regularly purchase medical supplies from Stark Industries, etc. Considering that their parent company is Roxon Energy, I'm not surprised at all."

Rune noticed Jonathan's confusion and whispered a reminder: "Roxon Energy is a very shameless company. They want to monopolize the world's energy by eliminating all competitors, and behind the scenes they will engage in unethical or illegal activities such as human experimentation."

Moreover, the company's boss is a NTR (Netorare, a derogatory term for a male nun) – literally, don't get the wrong idea.

Now it was Stark's turn to be puzzled.

"You even know that?" Tony nodded, indicating that Rune was right, but he also asked with suspicion, "You didn't obtain that Observer's Eye, did you?"

Rune glared at Tony, annoyed. If everyone could use the Eye of the Observer, why didn't Fury take it out and use it himself when he killed the Observer? Didn't you see that Red Skull didn't put the Eye of the Observer on himself after he turned into a berserker? The Eyeball Man can use that thing because he has a high affinity for it!

Upon reaching the third floor, Clark and Jonathan couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" because this floor housed the Avengers' main transport aircraft—the Quinjet. It was large enough, had enough gun barrels, and was extremely futuristic; any man would involuntarily exclaim "Wow!" upon first seeing it.

Stark couldn't help but smile, clearly pleased with their reactions.

"My God, if I could ever fly one of these planes, I feel like my life would be complete!" Clark exclaimed excitedly, turning to Steve and Tony, "Can I touch it?"

"Of course, kid." Stark certainly didn't mind; in fact, he was secretly delighted.

After touching the fighter jet, a satisfied Clark toured the area. On the way, they even met Thor, who jokingly asked Clark to play a game of lifting the hammer. Clark readily agreed, but unfortunately, the hammer only wobbled slightly before ignoring Clark.

Steve and Stark exchanged a knowing smile as they saw the hammer swaying. Thor wasn't a randomly spawning NPC; when Earth wasn't in any danger, he would usually travel to various places to find drinks or return to Asgard. And unless it was a particularly close comrade, Thor wouldn't let a stranger touch his precious hammer.

"That's already pretty good." Thor suppressed his unease and slight resentment, turning to Rune: "Rune, why don't you give it a try?"

Rune readily agreed. He stepped forward, grasped the hammer handle, and in that instant, Rune heard continuous thunder. The next second, a bolt of lightning as thick as a person struck from outside the window, hitting him directly on the forehead.

The lightning bolt arrived swiftly, but Rune's reaction was equally immediate. As he released Thor's Hammer, he unleashed a massive amount of dark magic. This terrifying energy, capable of dragging ordinary humans into nightmares with a mere glance, instantly collided with the divinely imbued lightning. The bolt, as thick as a man, was extinguished like water hitting a rock.

It was easily shattered.

This sudden turn of events stunned everyone present. Thor, after a moment of stunned silence, exclaimed, "By Odin—this is the first time I've ever seen Mjolnir so angry—."

Rune immediately withdrew this terrifying magic. Nevertheless, the ordinary people around him still suffered from varying degrees of tinnitus and dizziness. Rune gently clapped his hands, and Martha, Jonathan, and the others instantly woke up. Wisps of almost invisible black smoke returned to his palm.

"I'm sorry to have startled you all," Rune apologized softly, but his eyes were fixed on the sky.

Is this how information is transmitted? Interesting.

Tony wanted to say something, but he held back in the end.

Because several floors at the top of Avengers Tower involve classified information and cannot be shown to outsiders, the demonstration was completed quickly. Jonathan and Martha both agreed on the organization's legitimacy, with Jonathan barely able to contain his joy—he had suffered greatly in educating Clark, hoping he would use his superpowers cautiously, understand the vulnerabilities of ordinary people, and try to prevent Clark from developing arrogance towards humanity because of his superpowers.

So, did Clark listen to that? He listened to some of it, but after Clark started playing with Luthor...

He clearly couldn't be bothered to even listen. So, he happily took Steve's hand.

"It's up to you now," Jonathan said sincerely.
