Chapter 157 Daredevil: Where Did My Girlfriend Go?

Rune's livestream was quickly shut down due to its graphic violence, but he achieved his goal of intimidating Hydra. And the Global Times? They gained a huge influx of traffic. Not only that, they also got a chance to interview the president's killer up close. This was a win-win situation.

Rune casually brushed off the reporters' questions and left the Global Times, returning to Avengers Tower.

"How could you kill the president?"

When Rune returned, the first person to question him was Iron Man.

The civil war in Asgard was quelled quickly, but the group did not attend the banquet held in Asgard; there were more important matters to attend to on Earth. However, Odin had promised the Sorcerer Supreme that he could summon him once if necessary.

Although Loki participated in the rebellion, considering it wasn't his true intention, he wasn't executed but instead banished to a corner of the universe. Thor, on the other hand, followed Iron Man to Earth, believing that humans were the group more in need of protection.

"Because he's a Hydra spy." Rune wasn't surprised by Iron Man's actions. He'd heard in political class that "the XX family has weaknesses and a tendency to compromise," and Tony's actions in the Marvel universe confirmed this. If it were him, even knowing the president was a Hydra spy, he would consider the stability of the country and refrain from killing him directly.

"That's still impossible," Tony tried to say something, but in the end, he couldn't utter a word. What could he do? Could he possibly bring the president back to life?

Finally, his nanotech armor mask slid open, revealing bloodshot eyes: "Okay, I admit, I really wanted to give that Hydra bastard a palm shot in the head. But... but at least don't do it live! The consequences are too terrible!"

Captain America remained silent, refusing to utter a single word even after being glared at several times by Tony. He was currently reading those books.

Thor looked at Rune and patted him on the shoulder: "The laws of Midgard are none of my concern. But there's an old Asgardian proverb: when a farmer finds a serpent lurking in his granary, he won't convene a council to vote."

Everyone present fell silent. In fact, all the heroes present tacitly approved of Rune's actions, although at the time they thought Rune was just going to kill a few Hydra spies. Who would have thought that Rune would go directly to the president?
