Douluo Continent: Steadily Growing Stronger in Shrek Academy

Chapter 103 I'll be the host?

Zhou Mingxing had already finished his assessment and came to Lin Chen's side, where he was able to listen to Lin Xiaolei's "High Mountains and Flowing Water" in its entirety.

Lin Xiaolei also noticed Zhou Mingxing, who was engrossed in his own thoughts. The two exchanged a glance and smiled at each other, as if they could see each other's feelings.

"Alright, the assessment is over. Let's go eat!"

Lin Chen walked to Zhou Mingxing's side and walked down into the cafeteria together with Lin Xiaolei, who was leaving the stage amidst cheers from hundreds of thousands of people.

Lin Xiaolei naturally took Zhou Mingxing's hand.

Lin Chen: Then I'll leave?

"You guys go ahead and eat, I have something to do." Lin Chen left decisively.

Before the two could say anything, Lin Chen's figure had already disappeared.

You're acting like a third wheel, are you taking advantage of the fact that I don't have Sister Lexuan?

Strangely enough, Xiao Xiao has been spending a lot of time with Wang Dong lately, and I haven't seen her much.

Thinking of this, Lin Chen suddenly remembered something.

Wang Dong, could it be that you've already told Xiao Xiao that you're a girl?

Judging from this timeline, the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event should be coming soon, right?

Indeed, there have been more outsiders at Shrek Academy these past few days, and they've all been paddling around on Seagod Lake, presumably preparing for the Seagod's Fate Blind Date Event.

Lin Chen also heard his classmates excitedly discussing this matter.

Although only inner court disciples can participate in the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event, outer court students can also attend as spectators.

The reason, of course, is that the academy allows students from other academies to attend the ceremony in order to encourage more people to be admitted to the inner academy.

For the outer disciples, it serves as both an encouragement for their cultivation and an opportunity to admire beautiful women.

Everyone loves to look at beautiful women, and people in fantasy worlds are no exception.

Therefore, this matchmaking event can be quite a pleasant pastime for students from the School of Foreign Languages.

"Xiao Tu, are you going to participate in the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event?" Xiao Xiao asked Lin Chen in class.

"I'm not a student of your inner academy, so I can't go!"

"Oh, you're a core disciple of the outer academy, why don't you just apply to Dean Yan to become an inner academy student?" Xiao Xiao said.

"Then forget it, I'm not interested," Lin Chen said, shaking his head.

He meant it sincerely; he already had someone he liked, so there was no point in going there.

"Huh? Why? Lei Lei has already applied to Dean Yan and has already been selected as an inner court disciple!" Xiao Xiao was very puzzled.

Just a few days ago, Lin Xiaolei went to Yan Shaozhe to apply to become an inner court disciple.

Since Lin Xiaolei was also a core disciple of the outer academy, Yan Shaozhe set an assessment for her without hesitation. Now, Lin Xiaolei is already an inner academy disciple, and she can directly enter the inner academy after graduating from the sixth grade of the outer academy.

After all, she's a girl, and who wouldn't want a grand and spectacular confession ceremony?

Zhou Mingxing had already become an inner disciple of the Soul Guidance Department thanks to his extraordinary talent and unremitting efforts.

This is also why Lin Xiaolei wanted to become an inner court disciple ahead of schedule.

"Alright, alright, as long as you guys have fun, I'll just watch from below." Lin Chen forcibly turned Xiao Xiao's head so she could see the blackboard.

"Lin Chen, pay attention in class and don't daydream!" Wang Yan, who was on the podium, noticed Lin Chen's whispering and spoke up.

……

The students' discussions about the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event have become increasingly intense in recent days, and the day of the event is fast approaching.

There are two days left until the Poseidon Blind Date Event.

In the evening, after finishing dinner, Lin Chen was about to return to his dormitory to cultivate when he saw Zhang Lexuan standing in the dormitory corridor.

The phrase "graceful and elegant" best describes Zhang Lexuan at this moment.

"Lin Chen, did I disturb you?" Zhang Lexuan spoke first upon seeing Lin Chen arrive.

Zhang Lexuan seemed to have forgotten what happened that day, and there was not a trace of embarrassment on her face.

"No, no, why would Sister Lexuan want to see me today?" Lin Chen replied.

"I'm going to attend the Poseidon's Fate Blind Date Event in a couple of days. Since you're not going, I just wanted to ask if you have time to be a host?" Zhang Lexuan asked.

Lin Chen was taken aback, and subconsciously said, "Isn't it only inner court disciples who can participate? What am I, an outer court disciple, doing getting involved?"

"Don't worry about that. I'll cover for you. The elders won't say anything. Besides, your strength is superior to most of the inner court disciples."

Lin Chen thought for five seconds and then agreed without hesitation.

Lin Chen usually has no reason to refuse Le Xuan's requests.

Zhang Lexuan tossed a few sheets of paper from her storage bracelet and said, "These are the speech drafts from that day. Go back and familiarize yourself with them, don't mess it up. Otherwise, I'll beat you up."

As she spoke, she looked at Lin Chen with a threatening gaze.

"Alright, Sister Lexuan, I've got this covered!"

Zhang Lexuan nodded, and then flew away.

In the original novel, Zhang Lexuan was supposed to ask Bei Bei to be the host, but for some reason, when Elder Xuan asked her to choose a partner to be the host with her, Lin Chen was the first person that came to mind.

Lin Chen, on the other hand, happily took the manuscript back to his dormitory and started memorizing it.

The next morning, in the classroom of Class 1, Grade 6.

"Xiao Tu, are you really not going to participate in the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event?" Xiao Xiao asked persistently.

"Didn't I tell you yesterday? I'm not going."

Zhou Mingxing, standing to the side, was trying not to laugh.

"Instead of worrying about me, you should worry about whether you can find a boyfriend," Lin Chen said, rolling his eyes at Xiao Xiao.

"Huh? Boyfriend? Nobody likes me, right?" Xiao Xiao was confused.

Lin Chen was also taken aback. Didn't He Caitou like Xiao Xiao?

Oh, it seems that I unintentionally interfered in the previous All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Academy Battle Tournament, which prevented He Caitou from competing with Xiao Xiao, seriously affecting the relationship between Xiao Xiao and He Caitou.

"You could consider dating my senior brother. I think he's pretty good," Lin Chen said tentatively.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xiao shook her head violently and said, "Although my second senior brother is a good person, I still prefer handsome guys."

Okay, okay, you really messed it up for me.

"I'm sorry, He Caitou, I really didn't mean to ruin your relationship..." Lin Chen silently apologized to He Caitou in his heart.

Before they knew it, the day of the Sea God's Fate Blind Date Event arrived. The girls in the inner courtyard dressed up carefully, hoping to win the favor of their favorite boys. The boys were the same; apart from the couples who were already engaged, every one of them hoped to win the favor of their goddess.

After class in the evening, Lin Chen went straight to Zhang Lexuan's cottage on Poseidon Island.

"Are you ready?"
