Hogwarts: I will not become the Dark Lord

#297 - Boarding the Hogwarts Express

September 1st arrived, the long summer vacation quietly came to an end, and the new semester began. Jerry got up early, yawned, went to the window, pulled open the curtains, and looked at the gray sky outside, muttering, "This damn weather!"

After a quick wash, Jerry put on a windbreaker, packed his luggage, and then Apparated, appearing in front of Hermione's house. He knocked gently on the door, and soon, light footsteps sounded from behind the door. Immediately afterward, Hermione's smiling face appeared in the doorway, and she quickly pulled Jerry into the warm house.

The two of them entered the kitchen together, and a warm atmosphere rushed towards them. Breakfast was already set on the table, and Mr. Granger sat at the table, holding a newspaper tightly in his hand, his eyes focused. Hearing the movement at the door, he looked up slightly, glanced at Jerry briefly, and then continued reading the newspaper, no longer surprised by Jerry's arrival.

"Jerry, come and sit down, we've been waiting for you!" Mrs. Granger greeted him warmly, "After breakfast, we'll take you and Hermione to the train station together."

Jerry thanked Mrs. Granger and then sat down at the table to enjoy breakfast.

"Are you planning to come back for Christmas vacation?" Mr. Granger suddenly broke the silence. Although his question was directed at both of them, his eyes were fixed on Jerry. He understood that if Jerry Green stayed at school, Hermione would probably stay at Hogwarts too!

"This year?" Jerry paused slightly, then smiled awkwardly, with a hint of evasion in his eyes.

"Did you think I was asking about last year?" Mr. Granger glanced at Jerry again, asking in an unfriendly tone.

"Regarding this Christmas, we don't have any specific plans yet. But if there are no unexpected circumstances, I think... I probably won't choose to stay at school!" Jerry pondered for a moment and said seriously. But Jerry remembered that there seemed to be a Christmas Ball at Hogwarts this year, but he would fool Mr. Granger first. As for the Christmas Ball, that was an "unexpected circumstance"... And anyway, they would all be at Hogwarts at that time, hehe!

Hearing Jerry's words, Mr. Granger nodded, thinking that his family could finally spend Christmas together again this year! As for Jerry Green... what are you doing here when the Granger family is reunited?

After the meal, the group took Mr. Granger's car to King's Cross Station. As they were about to enter the platform, the sky seemed to respond, and the drizzle suddenly turned into a downpour. Jerry quickly looked around, and after not finding Harry and the others, he quickly waved goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Granger and hurried onto the Hogwarts Express.

"Oh dear, my hair is soaked!" Hermione complained softly, holding Crookshanks.

"Let's find a compartment to settle down first," Jerry suggested, comforting her, "and then wipe the water off your hair and clothes with a handkerchief later."

As the two walked along the long aisle of the train, after hearing a familiar voice in the back half of the train, Jerry knew that the regular program on the Hogwarts Express was starting again!

"Do you know, my father really considered sending me to Durmstrang instead of Hogwarts, because he has a close relationship with the headmaster there. That old fool Dumbledore, he favors those 'Mudbloods'! Durmstrang is completely different, with a stricter adherence to blood purity, never allowing just anyone to enroll."

"Moreover, I've heard that their attitude towards the Dark Arts is more direct and reasonable than those hypocritical Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons at Hogwarts. There, students are truly learning the mysteries of the Dark Arts!"

"Malfoy, if I were you, I wouldn't be badmouthing Hogwarts while attending it!" Harry's voice was filled with obvious anger, "And don't forget, you're not welcome here, we didn't invite you in!"

"Hmph!" Malfoy snorted disdainfully, his eyes looking at Ron's owl cage.

One sleeve of Ron's dress robes slipped from the edge of the owl cage, swaying gently with the rhythm of the train moving slowly forward. The moldy-looking trim at the cuff was particularly glaring.

Seeing this, Ron desperately wanted to hide the robes, but Malfoy's movements were like a cheetah preying, instantly grabbing the sleeve, pulling hard, and tearing the robes out.

"Look at this!" Malfoy's laughter was filled with unconcealed triumph as he held up the mauve dress robes, showing them off to Crabbe and Goyle as if displaying a trophy, "Weasley, you actually wear these kinds of clothes? Haha! I'm suddenly very much looking forward to seeing you wear this! Haha..."

"Eat shit, Malfoy!" Ron's face turned red, and he snatched his robes back from Malfoy and stuffed them into his luggage.

"Tsk tsk! It seems you don't even know why you need to bring dress robes to school!" Malfoy's tone was full of arrogance, a mocking smile curling at the corner of his mouth, "It's unbelievable, Weasley, your father and your brothers all work at the Ministry of Magic, and you're still in the dark?"

"Hmph, you should know that my father got the news from Cornelius Fudge long ago. I suppose it's because your father is at too low a level, probably doesn't even have the qualifications to know these important matters. They probably wouldn't even mention it in front of your father."

After saying that, Malfoy let out a burst of shrill laughter, with Crabbe and Goyle following closely behind, their silly laughter coarse and grating.

Just as the tension was building, Jerry pushed open the compartment door, seeing Harry, Ron, and Neville clenching their fists, eyes wide with anger, flames of fury burning in their eyes, clearly on the verge of exploding. If Jerry hadn't intervened, they would definitely have started fighting in the compartment!

Seeing Jerry's figure, Malfoy's laughter stopped abruptly. Just now, he had not only mocked Harry and the others, but had also mentioned Dumbledore and words like "Mudblood." Provoking Jerry Green, not to mention him, even a passing dog would get slapped!

"Cough cough!" Seeing that Jerry showed no signs of anger, Malfoy coughed twice, gave Crabbe and Goyle a look, and the three quickly retreated.

"Damn Malfoy, he's like a lingering ghost, we run into him everywhere!" Ron grumbled resentfully, his face full of displeasure.

"Ron, don't let Malfoy's silly provocations affect your mood," Neville comforted him gently, gently pulling Ron, who was about to stand up, back into his seat.

"Him? Affect me? Hmph, I'm not that easily swayed!" Ron shook his head at Neville, pretending to be relaxed, but the anger in his eyes remained undiminished.

"Why did you guys clash with Malfoy again?" Jerry and Hermione sat down opposite them and asked.

"He came looking for trouble himself, nothing good ever comes from seeing him!" Harry took a deep breath, trying to calm the anger in his heart, "I wish he would go to Durmstrang instead of our Hogwarts!"

"By the way, what school was Malfoy talking about just now, Durmstrang? I've never heard of it before?"

"It seems to be in Northern Europe," Jerry said to Harry after thinking for a moment, "I'm not too sure about the exact location, they keep their location hidden!"

"If Malfoy were really at Durmstrang, that would be great," a hint of fantasy appeared on Ron's face, "Imagine pushing him gently off a thick glacier, disguised as an unfortunate accident, how satisfying would that be! Too bad..."

"Calm down, Ron!" Neville reminded him again softly, then cleverly changed the subject, "By the way, did you all go to the Quidditch World Cup? Too bad, I wasn't so lucky, my grandma wouldn't let me go!"

"Of course," Harry replied, "However, what happened after the game was terrible, we encountered Death Eaters!"

Harry vividly told Neville about what happened at the Quidditch World Cup, and the two quickly immersed themselves in a heated discussion about the game, and soon Ron joined in.

"Jerry, do you know why we have to bring dress robes?" At this time, Hermione dried her hair, recalling Malfoy's previous provocation, and she quietly asked Jerry.

Although her voice was small, it was enough for Harry, Ron, and Neville to stop talking, and they all turned to look at Jerry.

"Alright!" Jerry shrugged, "Although this matter is still in the confidential stage, I can tell you in advance if you're curious!"

"We seem to have a ball this semester, and I heard that people from other schools are coming to Hogwarts!"

As soon as Ron heard this, he was even less willing to wear his dress robes! Ron thought of his dress robes and felt very uncomfortable. Why was everything he owned either second-hand or junk!
