Hogwarts: I will not become the Dark Lord
#264 - The Fallen 2
“Alohomora!”
In the lower deck warehouse of the cruise ship, Jerry silently opened the lock.
With a soft click, the door slowly swung open.
He moved nimbly between the stacked cargo and shadows, his eyes sharp as a hawk, not missing a single detail.
Soon, his gaze locked onto an unremarkable wooden crate.
The crate appeared old and ordinary, yet the damp soil scattered beneath it emitted an unusual aura, like the shadows of the night quietly encroaching.
This contrasted sharply with the tidy surroundings of the warehouse, making it stand out and arousing suspicion.
As Jerry approached, the creature inside the crate seemed to sense the danger.
It suddenly began to shake violently, accompanied by a low roar, causing the entire crate to tremble.
Then, a deafening crash echoed through the warehouse.
With a deafening boom, the wooden crate exploded, and damp soil sprayed out like a fountain.
Amidst the flying dust, a figure leaped from the crate, landing firmly on the ground.
The eerie man's face was gloomy and sinister, his smile revealing a chilling aura.
A wound on his chest, caused by Jerry's Invisible Severing Spell yesterday, continued to seep blood, but he seemed unconcerned.
He gently wiped away the blood from his chest and then licked it off his fingers.
His eyes were greedy and fanatical, staring at Jerry as if he were a delicious prey.
“I never expected you to track me here.
But it doesn't matter, as long as I drink your blood, my injuries will be completely healed!”
“I'm puzzled,” Jerry said, frowning with a hint of confusion.
The eerie man roared, his voice filled with endless pain and resentment.
“Back then, I had just graduated from Ilvermorny, full of hope for the future, but instead, I was forcibly kidnapped and subjected to inhumane torment and transformation, turning me into this inhuman monster!
I never wanted to live like this, but reality is so cruel, leaving me with nowhere to escape!”
The eerie man rushed towards Jerry like a phantom, his sharp fingernails gleaming with deadly light.
“Without your magic, you're no match for me.”
Jerry calmly used Apparition, quickly distancing himself from the eerie man.
“However, if you tell me the identity of the person behind this, perhaps I can help you get revenge in the future.”
“Revenge? I don't need it!”
The eerie man roared, his voice full of hatred.
“As long as I drain your blood, I can be free!”
Jerry sighed softly, as if he had anticipated his reaction, and stood still without making any further movements.
Seeing this, a hint of triumph flashed in the eerie man's eyes, and he continued to approach.
However, just as his fingernails were about to touch Jerry, he suddenly curled up in pain at Jerry's feet, clutching his head tightly with both hands.
“Cough, cough!”
With his violent coughing, blood slowly dripped from the corner of his mouth, forming a striking red patch on the ground.
Without hesitation, Jerry kicked him away, and blood gushed out from the eerie man's mouth and eyes, instantly turning his face even paler.
“Magic… magic surge!”
The eerie man shouted in pain and excitement, his expression twisted and狰狞.
“My magic… is back!”
However, Jerry only looked at him coldly, mercilessly shattering his hopes.
“Don't even think about it, you've completely lost control of your magic.
It's now like a pool of chaotic stagnant water, no longer usable by you.”
“But it makes it easier for me to use!”
“You…”
The eerie man's words trailed off, his eyes becoming hollow and desperate, staring straight at Jerry.
Then, he collapsed weakly to the ground, as if all his strength had left him, unable to struggle any longer, allowing the violent magic to ravage his body.
“You… win!”
The eerie man suddenly seemed to catch a glimpse of the last ray of light from the abyss of death, a strange smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, as bright as a final flash of life.
“Magic… ah, I actually forgot… I was also a… wizard!”
His voice carried a sense of relief and感慨.
“I want to… thank you,” he continued, his tone revealing a complex emotion.
“Since being transformed… into this state, I never thought I would end my life in this way—dying from my own… magic surge… Haha!”
His laughter echoed in the empty warehouse, filled with sorrow and helplessness.
“I… won't reveal any… clues to you.”
The eerie man's voice was weak but resolute, he said breathlessly.
“I advise you not to continue investigating… just pretend this never happened!
Otherwise… I'm afraid you will follow in my footsteps, falling into this… living hell.”
His words were full of warning and admonition.
“Legilimency!”
Jerry didn't believe him, took a deep breath, grabbed his collar, and tried to read his memory, but to his surprise, no useful clues appeared in the eerie man's mind.
How could this be? The other party clearly couldn't use magic, let alone Occlumency!
Jerry's heart was filled with doubt and confusion.
“Listen to me… don't… look for it!”
The eerie man looked at him, a faint smile on his face.
“It really hurts!
Give me a quick death!”
Jerry was silent for a moment, looking at the painful man on the ground, he slowly opened his mouth.
“At least tell me your name.”
But the eerie man just shook his head and didn't answer.
In the end, Jerry helplessly made a decision and sent him on his final journey.
Until his death, Jerry didn't know the eerie man's name.
Fire suddenly flared up in the warehouse, the eerie man's body floated in the air, entangled by blue-white Fiendfyre, and in the blink of an eye, nothing was left.
“Canterbury!”
Jerry turned to the dark corner, where Canterbury's figure had been hidden all along.
“Everything is perfectly resolved, Your Excellency, you are much more powerful than I imagined!”
Canterbury glanced at the extinguished Fiendfyre and said.
“You heard everything just now, with your intelligence network, you should know who is behind this, right?”
Jerry's eyes were sharp, staring directly at Canterbury.
“Your Excellency, do you want to avenge him?”
Canterbury gazed at Jerry, a hint of inquiry flashing in his eyes.
“You should know, I'm a person who hates trouble!”
Jerry shook his head slightly, a hint of indifference on his face.
“But I'm still very curious!”
Canterbury hesitated a bit, and after a moment of silence, he still told Jerry: “Regarding this matter, my knowledge is limited.
But from what I understand, it seems to be related to several members of the American Magical Congress.”
“Is that so,” Jerry nodded slightly, without any expression on his face.
“Did any of your people participate?”
“Impossible!” Canterbury immediately denied.
“The Apostles know better than anyone how important the soul is to a wizard!
Only those fools would do such things!”
