On Saturday evening, Hermione and Harry left the bustling Gryffindor common room and headed to a deserted classroom next to the History of Magic classroom. When they arrived, the classroom was empty, swallowed by darkness.

"Is this the place?" Hermione asked softly, then cast a Lumos charm. Instantly, a bright light pierced the darkness, illuminating the entire room. "Where's Jerry? Why isn't he here yet?"

Harry looked around and, after confirming the location was correct, nodded. "That's right, Professor Lupin told me it was this empty classroom." He added, "Let's wait a little longer, maybe Jerry will be here soon."

About five minutes later, Jerry appeared in the doorway, panting. "Sorry, everyone, I ran into a little accident on the way, which delayed me a bit."

Jerry had gone to Professor Lupin to borrow a Boggart, but Lupin had firmly refused. He didn't want a repeat of what happened in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

If that happened again, instead of learning the Patronus Charm, Harry and Hermione would be sent to the hospital wing!

"Ahem!" Jerry walked to the front of the classroom, stood at the podium, cleared his throat, and became serious. "Let me introduce myself, Jerry Green. From now on, I will be your Charms teacher…"

"Wait a minute, Jerry," Hermione said, looking speechlessly at the posturing Jerry, unable to resist interrupting him. "What are you doing? Do you think we don't know who you are?"

"That's right, Jerry, hurry up and teach us the charm to fight Dementors!" Harry chimed in.

Jerry walked to the podium, tugged at Hermione's sleeve, and whispered, "Didn't I tell you this afternoon? You have to call me Teacher Green, use my title when I'm working!"

"Yes, yes, yes! Teacher Green!" Hermione rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, "Is that okay now!"

Harry:…

"Okay, okay!" Jerry waved his hand. "I won't argue with you this time!"

He composed himself, preparing to begin the lesson. "Now, I'm going to demonstrate this spell for you. But I must emphasize that this is a very advanced and complex magic, far beyond the capabilities of ordinary wizards. The name of this charm is the Patronus Charm."

"So, who knows what the incantation for the Patronus Charm is?" Jerry continued to ask.

"I know, I know!" Hermione immediately raised her hand, her eyes sparkling with excitement, and answered loudly, "I read about it in the book *Advanced Spell Defense*. The incantation is 'Expecto Patronum'!"

"A very correct answer, Miss Hermione, although I can't give you points!"

Harry was speechless as he watched the two of them having so much fun playing roles in the classroom. If you two like role-playing so much, can you wait until I leave to play!

"What does this charm do?" Harry couldn't help but interrupt Jerry and Hermione, eagerly interjecting, clearly curious about the spell. "Can this charm fight Dementors?"

Jerry nodded affirmatively. "That's right, if you can cast this charm correctly, you will summon a Patronus. It is a powerful Dementor-killer, able to protect you from the intrusion and harm of Dementors like a strong shield. In addition, the Patronus Charm is currently the only known spell that can drive away Lethifolds, a dangerous magical creature."

A picture flashed in Harry's mind: himself hiding behind a tall, mighty figure, that figure holding a giant club, brave and fearless.

Jerry continued, "The Patronus represents a positive force, an external manifestation of hope, joy, the desire to survive, and other beautiful emotions. Since the Patronus does not have the feelings of a real living being, it will not be affected by despair, and Dementors will not be able to harm it. However, I must remind you that this spell may be quite complex for you, and many accomplished adult wizards may not be able to master it."

"Is it really that difficult?" Hermione asked, unwilling to be outdone, her tone revealing a hint of challenge. "Jerry, didn't you master the Patronus Charm not long after starting your first year?"

"Whether it's difficult or not, you'll know when you try it yourselves later!" Jerry shrugged, saying casually, his tone tinged with arrogance. "However, having said that, don't even think about comparing yourselves to me, it will only discourage you. Talent has always been unfair."

"I'm really looking forward to what my Patronus will look like!" Harry said expectantly, his voice revealing a hint of excitement.

"Each Patronus is unique, its form depending on the emotions and memories within the wizard who conjures it," Jerry explained. Immediately after, Jerry snapped his fingers in front of Harry and Hermione. With this action, a silver-white raven Patronus appeared out of thin air before their eyes, its eyes flashing with scarlet light, and then it gracefully landed on Jerry's shoulder.

"To successfully cast this charm, you must focus all your thoughts on a particularly happy moment. Only then will the Patronus be summoned," Jerry continued.

Hearing this, Harry and Hermione began to try to recall the happiest moments in their lives.

Harry's mind flashed back to the scene of him riding a broomstick for the first time, the feeling of speed, freedom, and unrestrainedness that he still couldn't forget. Hermione, on the other hand, thought of the joy and pride she felt when she came in first in an exam, leaving her competitors far behind and being praised by the teacher.

"Incantation," Jerry cleared his throat, "Say the incantation! Expecto Patronum! Hurry!"

"Expecto what?" Harry swallowed nervously. "Expecto Protection?"

"It's Expecto Patronum!"

"Oh, right," Harry said, quickly forcing his thoughts back to the first time he rode a broomstick, "Expecto Protection! No, Patronum, sorry, Expecto Protect… Expecto Patronum!"

"Expecto Patronum," Hermione repeated the incantation as well, "Expecto Patronum."

"Have you focused all your thoughts on that happy memory?" Seeing that both of their wands were unresponsive, Jerry raised his voice, reminding them loudly, "When you say the incantation, don't think about death, don't think about darkness, think about the happiest moment in your life!"

Before Jerry could finish speaking, silver-white smoke suddenly burst from the tips of Harry and Hermione's wands, spiraling upwards like a wisp of smoke.

The two of them were considered successful, but… if you knew it was the Patronus Charm, if you didn't, you'd think they were preparing to light a cigarette for the Dementors.

"Jerry, did you see that?" Harry shouted excitedly to Jerry. "Our wands reacted!"

"That's useless, you two are happy too soon!" Jerry waved his hand at the tips of their wands, and the silver-white smoke quickly disappeared into the air. "You want to deal with Dementors with this level of Patronus Charm? It's not even enough to fill their teeth!"

Hermione followed closely behind, asking her own question, "That's right, what did you think of when you summoned your Patronus? Why is your Patronus a raven that looks so much like Tom? Aren't you always disgusted by Tom?"

"It didn't take too long!" Jerry spread his hands, recalling the scene at the time, his tone very relaxed and indifferent. "Just the time of a break between classes. I remember it was after Charms class, I asked Professor Flitwick to teach me. I remember when I finished learning and went to the Great Hall to find you, the meal hadn't even started yet!"

"I didn't think too much at the time, I just followed Professor Flitwick's words, said the incantation, waved my wand, and the Patronus appeared. It felt quite simple, just need hands and a wand!"
