Hogwarts: I will not become the Dark Lord

#165 - You are ready to die, Malfoy!

The library before the final exam is always crowded!

"Dried nettles, snake fangs, porcupine quills, slugs..." Neville looked wearily at the various potion recipes in front of him, feeling dizzy. Besides that, assignments from Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, and History of Magic were piled up like mountains on the side.

Looking around to make sure that Madam Pince, the librarian, was not nearby, Neville lowered his voice and said with a hint of envy, "Honestly, I'm a little envious of Jerry! He doesn't have to do homework, and he doesn't have to take exams!"

Harry and Ron heard this and nodded in agreement, feeling envious.

"You guys are envious too early!" Jerry stood behind the three of them, imitating Snape, and said in a low, gloomy voice, "I have to take the final exam just like you!"

Harry, Ron, and Neville were startled by Jerry's sudden voice, thinking that Snape was secretly standing behind them again, eavesdropping on their conversation. They turned around and found that it was the recovered Jerry and Hermione, who was covering her mouth and snickering.

Harry scratched his head and smiled awkwardly, "Jerry, you're out of the hospital! That's great, we thought..."

"Thought it was Snape?" Jerry looked at the panicked and surprised expressions on the faces of Harry, Ron, and Neville, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise, saying with a bit of teasing. In his heart, he couldn't help but sigh, what exactly did Snape do in the two months he was in a coma? Look how scared these three are!

"This morning, Professor McGonagall has already notified me that I have to take the final exam with you, no exceptions," Jerry shook the book in his hand and continued, "However, I don't have to write homework!"

After hearing the news that Jerry also had to take the final exam, Harry, Ron, and Neville looked at each other, with surprised expressions on their faces. They had never thought before that Jerry, who hadn't been to class for two months, would have to take the exam with them... The envy disappeared, and their tired bodies and minds were suddenly full of vitality, and their anxious mood instantly vanished.

As for Jerry not having to write homework, Harry, Ron, and Neville admitted that they had long been envious and jealous of this unfair treatment, and they were even used to it. Even if Jerry read other books in Charms class, Professor Flitwick would turn a blind eye!

"It's okay, Jerry, feel free to ask us if there's anything you don't understand!" Harry patted his chest generously and said. Although he was just saying comforting words, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up, "It's just an exam, just pass it, what's the use of marks!"

Jerry looked at the confident and calm Harry, Ron, and Neville, and felt speechless in his heart. It's not that he's bragging, but even if Jerry doesn't go to class for half a year, and takes the exam without any preparation, the three of you might not be able to pass him, or get a score as high as his!

"Tch!" Hermione made a disdainful sound. She walked over to Jerry and sat down next to him, glancing sharply at Harry, Ron, and Neville. What questions does Jerry have that he needs to ask the three of you? Does she not exist?

"Jerry, if you really have any questions, you can ask me. Don't listen to Harry and them talking nonsense!"

"It's okay, Hermione, let's hurry up and review! If there are really any questions, I'll ask you then!" Jerry shook his head with a smile and said in a low voice.

"By the way, Jerry, I have something I want to ask you." Neville scratched his head, looked at Jerry sitting across from his desk, and asked curiously, "Do you know Ferreus?"

Hearing Neville's words, the quill in Jerry's hand paused slightly. Then, he glanced at Neville and the people around him nonchalantly. Seeing the confused expressions on their faces, Jerry couldn't help but feel a little puzzled.

Catherine usually stays in her private lounge. She is rarely seen even in the Slytherin common room. Other students, or rather wizards, are even less likely to be seen by Catherine, who has been receiving apostle education since she was a child and is somewhat extreme. She cannot, and is unwilling to, have too much communication with other people in the school.

Even Catherine Ferreus's name is rarely mentioned in Slytherin. To this day, there are still many Slytherin students who don't know Catherine. How did Neville, a Gryffindor student, know that Catherine exists? And ask Jerry if he knows her?

"Ferreus? From Slytherin? Is it a boy or a girl?" Hermione asked suspiciously, "Jerry, do you know her?"

"That's possible!" Jerry followed Ron's words and said. Then, he pretended to be nonchalant and lowered his head to continue reviewing, "Maybe Malfoy reported me to Professor Snape again!"

Damn Malfoy! Jerry maintained his composure on the surface, even with a slight smile, but he kept cursing inwardly, sneering again and again.

Jerry had warned Malfoy before to mind his own business, but now it seems that Malfoy didn't take his words seriously, and even dared to mention it to Snape. It's simply... courting death!

...

"Stop!"

Malfoy and his two cronies, Goyle and Crabbe, were cornered by Jerry in the corridor outside the Great Hall of Hogwarts.

If it were any other student who dared to speak to them like that, Goyle and Crabbe would definitely teach the other party what respect and politeness were. But at this time, looking at Jerry's gloomy face in front of them, they really didn't dare to fight him, not even the courage to run away. They could only stand obediently in place, letting Jerry's cold gaze sweep over them.

"This is none of your business!" Jerry waved his hand at Goyle and Crabbe, who were standing behind Malfoy, his tone obviously impatient, signaling them to leave. Under Malfoy's angry gaze, the two of them seemed to have unloaded a heavy burden, quickly turned around, and left without looking back.

Malfoy: Two idiots, Jerry told you to leave, so you leave? I'm your boss!

Goyle, Crabbe: Boss, sorry, we can't help it! Heaven wants to destroy you, it's not our fault!

"Jerry, when did you get out of the hospital? Goyle and I were just saying we were going to visit you in the hospital!" Looking at the backs of Goyle and Crabbe leaving, Malfoy swallowed and smiled awkwardly.

"Jerry, your coma and injury have nothing to do with me! Don't listen to Potter and Weasley!" Before Jerry could speak, Malfoy said first.

"I know!" Looking at Malfoy, who was sweating profusely, Jerry patted him on the shoulder with a smile, "I heard that your father, Mr. Lucius Malfoy, has been expelled from the school board?"

The twelve members of the Hogwarts Board of Governors seem to lack presence, but that's only because the current Headmaster of Hogwarts is Albus Dumbledore!

Even with his white hair, Dumbledore is still powerful enough to make many people wary, not to mention the even more reckless Grindelwald!

But even if Dumbledore is strong, he is still human and will one day step down. Fudge is waiting, the twelve governors are waiting, and Jerry is waiting!

Once Dumbledore steps down as Headmaster and leaves Hogwarts, the value of the twelve governors will become apparent, because not every Headmaster is as powerful as Dumbledore! Many things at Hogwarts require a vote from the governors.

According to the information provided by Catherine, several of the twelve governors have had their families completely infiltrated by the Apostles and become their puppets. But Jerry felt it wasn't enough; the more people on his side among the governors, the better!

This is also one of the reasons Jerry approached Malfoy, to plant a seed in Draco Malfoy's heart so he knows who can help him when he's desperate in the future!

As for loyalty, ha, Jerry has countless ways to make Draco Malfoy, the heir of that weathervane family... obedient!

"You can help my father return to the school board?" Malfoy looked at Jerry with some surprise, glanced around to make sure no one was there, and asked in a low voice.

You can say Draco Malfoy is bad, but you definitely can't say he's stupid. (Except when facing Harry and the others!)

Malfoy had seen the cold and mysterious Catherine Faircloth being gentle and close to Jerry; he had seen Trevor Shackelford being respectful and obedient to Jerry, so he wouldn't be foolish enough to think Jerry was just an ordinary student, especially after his father Lucius's reminder, this intuition became even stronger!

"Why would you choose to help us?" Malfoy asked suspiciously. He didn't think Jerry would offer help for no reason, helping his father return to the board. After all, under the tutelage of his father, Lucius, Malfoy understood a truth: benefit is the bond that maintains all relationships!

"No, I don't have that ability!" Jerry shook his head and said, "I was just curious after hearing about it!"

Malfoy looked at Jerry suspiciously, feeling that Jerry's words weren't that simple. Helpless, he could only scratch his head and decided to write a letter to his father Lucius later, asking for his opinion.

"Draco, I think some things, some words, shouldn't be revealed to others casually at school, do you think I'm right?" Jerry's tone suddenly became gloomy, full of warning.

"Yes, yes! Jerry, you're right!" Malfoy wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, carefully pondered Jerry's words, and suddenly remembered that he seemed to have told Headmaster Snape about Jerry and Catherine Faircloth a few days ago, and Neville Longbottom seemed to be there at the time!

"Jerry, you have to believe me, I really didn't reveal anything about you and Faircloth to Professor Snape..." Malfoy said with a wry smile. That day, he just suddenly thought that Jerry and Catherine seemed very familiar, so out of curiosity, he asked Snape about Catherine's identity. After all, he didn't even have a private lounge, but Catherine did, so he couldn't help but be curious.

But as soon as he mentioned Catherine's name, before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Snape and sternly warned to leave the classroom.

"Some things, just be clear in your heart, there's no need to say them out loud. Sometimes, playing dumb is also a good thing!" Jerry finally glanced at Malfoy, warned him again, and turned to leave.

...

"Alone? Didn't Jerry come with you?"

In the garden outside Hogwarts Castle, Hermione sat quietly alone on a bench under a large tree, engrossed in reading the Encyclopedia of Magic that Jerry had given her. However, a kind and old voice suddenly broke the silence, pulling her attention from the pages back to reality.

"Professor Dumbledore, are you looking for Jerry?" Hermione looked up at the kind-faced old man in front of her, her voice revealing a hint of nervousness. After quickly standing up from the bench, she continued, "He just left for something, but he should be back soon!"

"Child, don't be nervous." Dumbledore smiled kindly, then sat down on the bench, gesturing for Hermione to sit down as well. "In fact, I came specifically to find you."

"Me?" Hermione looked at Dumbledore with some confusion.

"Child, as someone who's been there, my experience tells me that life is like a dance, and the person who teaches you the first steps may not be able to accompany you to the end. So, instead of waiting for the wind, go chase it!"

"Professor, I..." Hermione lowered her head, her face flushed, her voice as soft as a mosquito's hum. She didn't expect Dumbledore to say these words to her so directly.

"I'll tell you a secret, the password to the Headmaster's office is actually the names of various candies and desserts. Try a few more times, and you might be able to open the Headmaster's office!"

Dumbledore obviously had more to say to Hermione, but when he saw Jerry running towards them in the distance, he could only helplessly swallow the words he hadn't finished.

"Professor, why are you here too?" Jerry looked at the two of them with confusion, asking curiously. Is the Headmaster of Hogwarts so idle every day? Jerry always sees Dumbledore wandering around the school!

"It's nothing, I was just passing by." Dumbledore smiled, stood up, "Then I won't bother you, I'll leave first."

Watching Dumbledore's gradually receding figure, Jerry turned his head and asked Hermione curiously, "What were you two talking about just now? Why is your face so red?"

Hermione patted her cheeks in a panic, trying to make the heat subside a little. She didn't dare to look at Jerry's gaze, and stammered, "No... nothing, it's just... just a little hot."

Dumbledore didn't go far, but came to a deserted corner of the garden and sat down.

"Time really flies! I remember when we first met, we weren't much older than Jerry and Granger!" Grindelwald's figure suddenly appeared beside Dumbledore, then slowly sat down.

"Yes! Time flies!" Dumbledore also murmured to himself.

"Albus, are we being too hasty! I'm afraid Granger is in danger!"

"Don't worry, whether it's the Apostles or Faircloth, they won't be stupid enough to attack Granger." Dumbledore shook his head and said.

"No, I mean... Jerry!" Grindelwald looked deeply at Dumbledore and said in a low voice, "People with power naturally want to destroy others and control others in order to test their abilities. It seems that the things they like and value more are the things they want to destroy."

"It won't happen," Dumbledore's expression became solemn, and his breathing became a little rapid. "I believe in Jerry, I believe in Mandy and David!"

Hearing Dumbledore mention Jerry's parents, the originally strong and arrogant Grindelwald also became decadent and speechless like a failure. He was silent for a moment, then whispered to himself, "I hope Mandy and David are right,"

"I hope their plan can succeed!"
