Chapter 478 Giant Village
Among the continuous mountains of the Alps, three figures, two tall and one short, rode two snowmobiles, running rapidly on the white snow.
Wherever it passed, a large sheet of white snow and mist arose.
After the snow and fog dissipated, you could see two very obvious ravines left on the originally smooth snow.
Looking at Hagrid and Mrs. Maxim, who were riding together not far away and who never stopped handing out dog food along the way, Kyle suddenly felt that it was a mistake for him to appear here.
He was wrong, and he shouldn't have listened to the nonsense Dumbledore wrote in the letter.
It was said that Hagrid was going to replace him, Old Deng, as an envoy to the giant tribe. He was unfamiliar with the place and needed a guide.
As a result, after Hagrid arrived at Nurmengard Castle via the Floo Network, the first thing he did was ask Kyle to take him to Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
And then……
Then the mission became a journey for two people and a dog.
Two people who were crazy about handing out dog food, and a dog who was forced to eat dog food.
Kyle originally wanted to speed up the accelerator and go around in front of the two of them, so that when he was on his way, he would not have to see the ugly faces of Hagrid and Madame Maxime showing off their affection.
But he didn't know the way at all.
After living in New Nurmengard Castle in the Alps for so long, the farthest place Kyle, a magician, has ever visited was a Muggle ski resort more than thirty kilometers away.
Compared with the entire Alps, the map he explored and unlocked was almost like a ping pong ball in a standard football field.
Therefore, if you want to find the giant group living in seclusion in the Alps, you have to rely on Mrs. Maxim to lead the way.
Kyle could only silently follow the two of them and eat dog food.
From the moment they set off, Kyle has been eating dog food for more than three hours behind them.
If it weren't for the fact that the intercontinental ballistic broomstick he built couldn't bear the weight and size of the two hybrid giants, Hagrid and Madame Maxime, Kyle wouldn't have had to endure such torture.
Apparating doesn't work here either.
The current location where the giants live was the brainchild of the leaders of the International Federation of Wizards after the end of the Wizarding War started by Voldemort.
At first, the giant was tempted by the various benefits promised by Voldemort and joined Voldemort's camp.
After Voldemort's fall, they became street rats that everyone yelled at.
If Dumbledore and Newt hadn't tried their best to dissuade him, there wouldn't be any giants in the European wizarding world now.
Because they were all exterminated.
I have to say that wizards are really skilled at doing things like genocide.
But even if they were not exterminated, the fate of the giants was not that good.
The International Federation of Wizards held a meeting casually, and then sentenced the giant hastily:
Giants are an extremely dangerous existence. The wizard will not exterminate them out of humanitarianism, but the giants need to be exiled to the Alps.
Moreover, they also imposed restrictions on the scope of activities of the giants in a very stupid way, and the territories allocated for the giants to survive were barren lands where birds did not poop.
Most of these areas are above the snow line.
If this group of giants wanted to survive in the vast white snow, they would naturally have no choice but to keep migrating in search of places with sufficient food.
This also makes it impossible for Kyle and the others to directly use apparation to reach the location of the giant tribe.
Disapparation can only go where the wizard has been before.
Even the French local snake Madame Maxime, who is extremely familiar with the Alps, can only use the simplest and crudest methods to search for traces of the giant tribe and find their location.
Just when Kyle was thinking about how long he would have to endure this kind of torture, the brake light suddenly came on on the super-large snowmobile in front of him.
"We're here." Hagrid's rough voice came from the front.
Kyle swung the direction, drifted handsomely sideways, and stopped steadily.
Where they are now is on the crest of a mountain.
After getting off the snowmobile, Kyle took a few steps forward and reached the ridge of the mountain.
On the mountain on the other side, a rough village made of branches and stones came into view.
Due to the relatively long distance, the distant village buildings were only the size of a fingernail in Kyle's eyes.
But even so, Kyle could still roughly see most of the giant village below.
It's said to be a village, but actually those giants don't even have a house.
Because with their intelligence, it is almost impossible for them to build a house that can protect them from wind and rain.
The difficulty is roughly equivalent to asking Snape to wash his hair once a day, or asking Voldemort to change the shabby black cloak he wears that has not been washed for ten thousand years.
Not knowing how to build houses, the giants just dug holes in the mountains.
Then they used the materials they could collect, that is, rocks and wood, to make something that could block the wind and put it at the door, and their home took shape.
After a cursory glance at the number of caves dug out of the mountain opposite, Kyle roughly judged that this giant village must have about thirty or forty people.
"Hagrid, it seems someone got there before us."
Looking at the village in the distance, Kyle's tone was filled with uncontrollable excitement.
His Mangekyō Sharingan eyes were shining with bloodthirsty light.
After being fed dog food by Hagrid and Madame Maxime for more than three hours, Kyle was suffocating. Now he really couldn't wait to find some unlucky guy to do the bloodletting.
Hearing Kyle's words, Hagrid and Mrs. Maxim immediately frowned.
"Let me see," Madame Maxime took out her wand and lightly touched her eyelids.
A layer of magical light covered her eyes, like a telescope, allowing her to see clearly the situation in the giant village one kilometer away.
The situation in the giant village is very tragic.
The white snow covering the village was dyed red one after another.
Huge corpses belonging to giants lay in the cold snow.
The village was quiet, except for the bonfire that was still burning weakly, there was no movement at all.
Kyle took out a watch that looked very technological and put it on from his pocket.
Turning the wheel on the watch, the images of animals quickly scrolled on the display screen of the dial, and finally settled on a snowy owl that was all white.
Kyle tapped his watch, and a burst of light flashed, and he immediately turned into the snowy owl displayed on the watch.
Mrs. Maxim looked at Kyle in disbelief, "Animagus?"
The snow owl kept saying, "It's not an Animagus, it's just an interesting alchemy tool."
The snowy owl spread its wings and flew quickly towards the giant village in the distance.
