Chapter 165 Entrance to the Chamber of Secrets

Dumbledore and many professors at Hogwarts did not make too fast progress in investigating the drainage pipes.

Because the structure of the drainage system is so complex, less than one-third of the area was inspected until the Christmas vacation was over and the students returned to school.

While dining in the auditorium, Kyle was surprised to find that Harry at the next table actually had a pair of cat ears on his head.

At the staff table, Snape couldn't stop staring at the Cat Lady version of Harry, and he didn't even notice that the steak on the dinner plate was cold.

When Colin Creevey got up to leave after dinner, Kyle grabbed him.

"Colin, lend me your camera."

Although the camera is the photographer's wife and cannot be lent out easily, Colin obviously does not have this awareness.

"Oh, okay." He took off the camera hanging around his neck.

After Kyle used magic to block the shutter sound, he pointed the camera at Harry and clicked, then threw the camera back to Colin.

"I'll share the photo when it's developed." Kyle returned the camera to Colin, and took out a few bottles of potions brewed by Snape and stuffed them into his hand as a reward.

Kyle looked in the direction of the Presidium and gave Snape a bright smile.

The corner of Snape's mouth curled up in a subtle arc, obviously very satisfied with Kyle's actions.

The PY transaction between the two people has now reached such a tacit understanding that there is no need to use words to communicate.

After dinner in the Great Hall, Kyle did not follow the Hufflepuff group back to their common room, but turned into another corridor.

The little snakes in Slytherin are no longer surprised that Kyle, a Hufflepuff, is in their team.

Soon, Kyle stopped at the door of Snape's office.

Before he could raise his hand to knock on the door, the office door opened automatically.

"What you want."

Kyle, who was standing at the door of the office, threw a cloth bag to Snape from a distance. His casual and slightly disgusted look made Snape's brows jump.

He knew that the Resurrection Stone, which he regarded as a treasure, was just a piece of rubble to Kyle, but Snape still wanted to pull Kyle's ears and ask him if he could pay more attention to it.

After all, this is one of the Three Hallows of Death.

Snape carefully held the Resurrection Stone in his hand. After taking a deep breath to relieve the tension in his heart, Snape turned the Resurrection Stone three times.

An obscure wave emanated from the Resurrection Stone, converging into a translucent and ethereal figure in the air.

Looking at the haunting figure in front of him, tears unknowingly blurred Snape's eyes.

Snape reached out his hand tremblingly, but hesitated for fear of disturbing Lily's soul.

In the end, he stretched out his hands and gently embraced Lily's soul into his arms.

But the soul summoned by the Resurrection Stone was illusory after all. Snape's arms passed through Lily's body, which left Snape with endless emptiness in his heart.

Even though he already had the Resurrection Stone and met the person he loved most, Snape didn't feel any joy at reunion.

Falling to his knees, Snape cried silently.

Lily's expression was dull and indifferent. After all, what the Resurrection Stone could bring was just a false phantom.

There was nothing Kyle could do to help Snape's grief.

He could only quietly close the office door, turn around and leave.

Looking at the shadow of Lily's soul in front of him, Snape's confused eyes gradually became firm.

"Such a result! I will never approve it!"

"Lily, I must create a world with you!"

After leaving Snape's office, Kyle climbed along the outer wall of the castle to a window on the eighth floor of the castle.

Looking at Kyle who came in through the window, Dumbledore helplessly held his forehead.

When will his son be able to walk through the door instead of climbing through the window like a normal person?

"Dad, how is the inspection of the drainage pipe going?"

During the Christmas vacation, Kyle frequently communicated with Dumbledore about the things that Voldemort's diary Horcrux had done in Hogwarts.

However, the progress of the professors' investigation of the drainage system was not very smooth.

Moreover, Dumbledore also received news that Lucius Malfoy, the culprit who put the diary into Ginny's crucible, is joining other directors of the Hogwarts School Board to launch an impeachment against Dumbledore.

He kicked out of Hogwarts.

"The people from the Ministry of Magic wanted to take Hagrid away," Dumbledore sighed, "I stopped them."

Kyle sat at the desk, "But you can only withstand the pressure for a while longer. If another attack happens..."

Kyle didn't say the second half of his words, but Dumbledore understood what he meant.

"You are still too merciful," Kyle said, making a gesture of slitting his throat. "It wouldn't be so troublesome if we just kill Lucius."

Seeing that Kyle's style was so close to that of Grindelwald, Dumbledore's face suddenly darkened.

"Lucius is not allowed to die without my permission."

You can't kill him, but there is no prohibition on finding someone to beat Lucius up. This is what Kyle understands.

Well, it seems that I have to find time to write a letter to Grindelwald and ask him to send a few saints to remove Lucius's three legs.

It might be too merciful to only remove three legs. I heard that Lucius's wife is quite beautiful, so having someone NTR it in front of Lucius is actually a good choice.

Kyle rolled his eyes, "I will not sit still and wait while you are kicked out of Hogwarts."

Dumbledore knew that he could not change Kyle's mind, so he gave up his plan to talk nonsense with Kyle on this issue.

"Lucius is still contacting the school directors, and they will take action after a while. When I am not at Hogwarts, I have to ask you to look after Harry more."

"I refuse. I'm not Harry's nanny. We are all of the same age. Why should I have to take care of him like his father?"

Kyle blurted out without thinking.

After hearing Kyle's words, Dumbledore's head was full of black lines.

He really wanted to say that if calculated based on birth date, Kyle's actual age was more than enough to be Harry's father.

"Moreover, since he is the savior of the British wizarding world, he should learn to face difficulties and solve problems by himself, instead of asking for help from adults like a crying baby."

There are more black lines on Dumbledore's head.

But what his son said does make some sense.

They are all of the same age. Kyle can face many things independently, but there is no reason why Harry can't.

Although Harry's abilities are slightly worse than Kyle's.

"Okay, you're right." Dumbledore nodded, crossing his fingers on his chin, "I may have some clues about the location of the secret room."

"What?"

Dumbledore stood up, walked to a cabinet and opened it.

There was a shallow stone basin in the cabinet with strange carvings on the mouth. Kyle recognized that they were ancient runes, but he did not understand the specific meaning of those words.

The silver light between liquid and gas lingers on the stone basin. It is like a piece of bright silver, but it is constantly flowing, like water ripples in the breeze, and spreads out elegantly like clouds, softly.

Rotate.

This is a pensieve that allows people to store and categorize thoughts and memories so that they can be taken out and sorted out later.

Kyle knew that Dumbledore wanted to show him something, so he leaned down and stuck his head into the pensieve.

He fell into a cold, dark material, as if being sucked into a black vortex.

By the time Kyle reacted, he was already standing in the corridor on the third floor of Hogwarts Castle.

He knew this was Dumbledore's memory picture.

A large puddle of water seeped out from under the door of the bathroom where Myrtle was, spreading over most of the corridor.

Several people came out of the bathroom carrying a stretcher.

Da da da……

Footsteps sounded behind Kyle.

A phantom passed through Kyle's body and came directly to the stretcher.

Kyle recognized that it was Dumbledore, but he was much younger than the current Dumbledore. He should have looked decades ago.

"This is what happened when the Chamber of Secrets was opened fifty years ago." Dumbledore's voice sounded next to Kyle.

Kyle didn't speak, but took a few steps forward and stood next to the stretcher.

Dumbledore fifty years ago lifted the white cloth covering the stretcher, revealing the face of the dead student.

"Myrtle?"

Dumbledore nodded, "Yes, that's her. Her ghost remains in Hogwarts."

The surrounding scene dissipated like smoke, and everything gradually disappeared.

Both Kyle and Dumbledore stepped back from the Pensieve.

"The basilisk moves in the castle through drainage pipes, and when I encountered the basilisk in the castle, it mysteriously disappeared in the corridor where the bathroom is located on the third floor..."

Dumbledore nodded.

"Fifty years ago, Myrtle died in the bathroom, and the entrance to the secret room was in that place."

"Next to a faucet engraved with a snake relief, simply saying 'open' in Parseltongue will reveal the entrance to the secret chamber."

"Have you checked it out?" Kyle asked.

"I've been there, but the basilisk is not there. Except for a piece of snake slough, I didn't see anything related to the basilisk."

Dumbledore added, "And he also used some method to block my tracking. I couldn't detect the specific location of the basilisk even with magic."
