First of all, as a new author, being on this list is undoubtedly an honor...

I'm very happy, but after the happiness, it also represents a greater responsibility—to write this story well, to put more effort into it, and to give the friends who have seen this book and continue to read it a satisfactory conclusion.

In fact, this book seems very good, but I also understand that it's all thanks to everyone's support. I still have many shortcomings that need improvement.

Whether it's in the plot or the pacing, there are still many things to learn. I don't want to become a '伤仲永' (a reference to a prodigy who failed to live up to his potential), and I don't want my writing career to have a anticlimactic ending.

Since I've already done this and I enjoy it and plan to continue, then it seems my duty to put something into it.

Speaking of which, you might not believe it... In the beginning, no one was optimistic about this book. Except for me, most of the people I knew didn't like this theme and setting, and thought it was bound to fail.

Even when I finished a 10,000-word sample and submitted it internally to editors, not a single person liked it. I submitted it to three editors in total, and not one of them even replied to my message.

For a whole week, I remember that whenever I had nothing to do, I would open my QQ email to see if any kind editor had accepted this book and was planning to sign me.

But there were none...

At that time, my mentality collapsed. I didn't even want to move. I just wanted to lie in bed and have a good sleep, thinking that I probably couldn't do this job.

Fortunately, I finally made it through. With the encouragement of a few good friends, I still didn't choose to delete it, but instead published it.
