"The Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox is born with twelve souls. In addition to three souls, each tail has one soul."

Upon reaching adulthood, the nine divided souls will detach from the body along with the tails and transform into nine maids.

Therefore, the previous ruler of the Demon Kingdom had at least nine close elders, who were actually nine tails.

The tail of the nine-tailed celestial fox has a great function: it can be shaped into a physical body.

Therefore, for us nine sisters, as long as our souls remain, our physical bodies can be replaced and reshaped at any time.

Knowing this fact, Li Chang'an had Fu Xiang serve him in her true form when they first met.

"I cleverly avoided the fate of a corpse driver, but I still couldn't escape the consequences of mating..."

"Hmm?" Fu Xiang asked in a sweet, cloying voice.

Li Chang'an rolled over, bracing his arms on either side of Ye Ji's waist, and looked down at her.

"I said, I want to be with Fu Xiang..."

Princess Ye was beaming with joy.

The bed curtains began to sway rhythmically.

Chapter 440 Golden Lotus Advances to the Extraordinary Realm! Li Chang'an's Tribulation is Imminent!

Western Regions.

The Arhat Du'e sat cross-legged on a lotus platform floating on the water, his hands clasped together, his eyes closed in meditation.

"Bodhisattva Guangxian and Bodhisattva Liuli were together, contacting Bodhisattva Jialuoshu."

"Ugly-handsome and dashing Asuro said in a deep voice."

The three bodhisattvas were undoubtedly discussing the fall of the southern border and the subsequent strategic plans of Buddhism.

The Arhat Du'e opened his eyes, pondered for a moment, and said:

"Go to the Demon-Suppressing Ravine and see if the Asura King's remains are still there. I will go to the Zen Forest to see the Buddha."

Under the Bodhi tree.

The Bodhisattva Guangxian, depicted as a young monk, takes a golden bowl from his sleeve and places it in front of him.

Opposite him was a crystal bodhisattva dressed in white, barefoot as white as snow, with a head of flowing black hair.

Her eyes, sparkling with a clear, glassy luster, gazed at Guangxian without a trace of emotion, and she said softly:

"How strong is the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox?"

The young monk calmly replied, "I'm still a bit short of being a first-grade monk."

The Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva nodded: "Without awakening that supernatural power, she cannot fully utilize the spiritual essence of the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox, so the threat is not great."

As they spoke, the golden bowl emitted a beam of golden light, which materialized above their heads into the imposing figure of the Bodhisattva of the Gara Tree.

The Bodhisattva Guangxian clasped his hands together and said calmly, "The Southern Demon Kingdom has been restored."

……

Demon-Suppressing Gorge.

A cold valley south of Aranta.

Buddhist temples carved roads and prisons into the cliff face to imprison monks who broke their vows, demons who roamed the Western Regions, and some foreign enemies.

As Asuro descended from the sky, his gaze swept across the valley, where rows of empty and desolate prison cells were embedded in the cliff walls on both sides.

The further down you go, the dimmer the light becomes.

Asura landed in the valley, entered the cave, and could then go directly to the depths of Arantha.

Legend has it that the Buddha suppressed the Asura King at the bottom of the mountain, referring to this Demon-Suppressing Stream.

The valley floor is a forbidden area of Aranya, and ordinary monks are not allowed to approach it. As for Arhats and Vajras, they are also not allowed to enter without the permission of the Bodhisattva.

In the past, the Bodhisattva Guangxian was always present in Alanda, watching over it from a high place. Asura never came here, whether before his death or after his return to power.

Asura continued along the dark tunnel, completely unafraid of encountering obstacles, for even the most powerful weapons would find it difficult to break through his body.

After walking for about fifteen minutes, Asuro stopped.

“Hoo, hoo, hoo.”

Ahead, deep within the passageway, came the sound of rhythmic breathing.

The place where the Buddha sleeps is in the meditation grove west of Aranda.

The red walls, like giant pythons winding across the mountains, are layered upon each other, topped with gray tiles.

Outside the Zen grove, a golden light shone forth, manifesting as the form of the Arhat who had saved from suffering.

The Arhat Du'e clasped his hands together, bowed outside the meditation hall, and whispered:

"Disciple Du'e pays homage to the Buddha."

The Zen grove was quiet, without any movement or even any living creature.

"Disciple Du'e pays homage to the Buddha."

There was still no movement.

As you travel along the road to Du'e, you see towering pagodas, mottled walls, and deep fallen leaves, creating a desolate and lifeless atmosphere.

He was purposefully searching for sculptures of Confucian sages.

The Zen forest was vast, occupying an entire mountain. The goal of overcoming the calamity was also clear: head straight for the depths of the Zen forest, where there was a Bodhi tree.

According to legend, the Buddha attained enlightenment on Mount Aranda.

On the day of his enlightenment, the heavens were jealous and sent down torrential rain and lightning.

At that moment, a Bodhi tree grew out from behind the Buddha, sheltering him from the wind and rain, and protecting him from lightning.

Before long, Du'e arrived deep in the Zen forest and saw the Bodhi tree.

The Bodhi tree is not tall, but it extends in all directions, spreading out like a graceful canopy.

Du'e Luohan's pupils contracted slightly.

Under the shade of the trees, there is a pile of severely weathered rubble. Upon closer inspection, it can be seen that it is a broken stone carving.

The Confucian sage sculpture was destroyed, and the Buddha was freed. The Arhat Du'e gazed at the pile of stone sculptures, remaining silent for a long time.

Suddenly, a calm, emotionless voice rang out from behind the Arhat Du'e:

"Du'e, what are you doing here?"

In this situation, most people would inevitably experience a racing heart and break out in a cold sweat.

Du'e was a second-grade Arhat and a disciple of the Buddha.

Theoretically speaking, her status is no less than that of Bodhisattva Guangxian.

"The divine power broke the seal and reappeared in the world. The Southern Demon reclaimed the Ten Thousand Mountains and announced the restoration of its kingdom."

This is a matter of great importance, and I believe that the Buddha should no longer remain in slumber.

He was qualified to meet the Buddha directly.

However, in Buddhism, the highest rank is attained, and Arhats are one rank lower than Bodhisattvas, so Bodhisattvas usually have a higher status.

"The Buddha extinguished the fires of karma in the world; when it is time to awaken, he will awaken on his own."

When the time is right, I will see you.

The Bodhisattva Guangxian spoke calmly:

"If you don't want to see Him, you won't see Him no matter how high you search in the heavens or how low you search in the underworld."

Du'e Arhat clasped his hands together, bowed his head, and said, "It was I who was too hasty."

Bodhisattva Guangxian nodded: "Go, and do not disturb the Buddha again."

Du'e said nothing more and walked away.

Just as he brushed past the Bodhisattva Guangxian, a faint, eerie whisper suddenly came from behind him:

"Help me, help me!"

The cry for help was like a pebble thrown into a well, causing ripples on the calm surface.

The heart of the one who saves from suffering is like well water.

He stopped and slowly, bit by bit, turned his head back.

Looking back at the Bodhisattva Guangxian, and then at the Bodhi tree.

The Bodhisattva Guangxian narrowed his eyes and smiled:

"What else?"

Du'e clasped his hands together, chanted the Buddha's name, and then stared at Guangxian Bodhisattva, saying:

"Since the Bodhisattva Garuda insisted on not accepting Mahayana Buddhism, we had no choice but to consult the Buddha."

It just so happens that the Bodhisattva of the Garuda Tree is not in Aranda.
