There is a system that allows you to sign in and become stronger, and a permanent buff that can shorten your training time – the true meaning of "Thousands of Refinements".

He was very confident in the speed at which his skills were improving.

This all-out battle with Garp was very rewarding for him. After fully digesting and absorbing the lessons, his strength will probably reach a new level.

"Old man Garp, there's one thing I want to know."

"what?"

Garp crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, somewhat bothered by being called "Old Man Garp," but considering that Garp said he wouldn't be a pirate, he decided to let it go and not take it to heart.

"What level would my current strength be considered on the high seas?"

Ron looked at him and asked.

"This is it."

Garp crossed his arms and thought for a moment before saying, "Although you are not a Devil Fruit user and do not possess Haki, your physical strength far surpasses that of others. Coupled with your swordsmanship and the slashes you can unleash at will... in my opinion, your strength is roughly equivalent to that of a pirate with a bounty of twenty or thirty million."

"In our navy, you're roughly equivalent to a colonel at headquarters. I know a Logia Devil Fruit user named Smoker, who just graduated from the Naval Academy. Your current strength isn't much different from his."

"But if it really comes down to a fight, you probably wouldn't be a match for him."

"So he still lacks domineering presence..."

Ron thought to himself.

He glanced at Garp in front of him, thinking that it would be best if Garp could teach him Haki.

It seemed she had discerned his thoughts.

Garp winked at him and said, "If you want me to teach you to become stronger, you have to become my apprentice and join the Navy."

Ron gripped the Raiche and turned to leave.

The next period of time.

Garp would always be there whenever Ron trained with Ace and Luffy.

Although Ron wanted to fight him a few more times, Garp had an attitude of "I'll only teach you if you become my apprentice and join the Navy," which infuriated him.

He would occasionally give Kuina pointers on swordsmanship and movement techniques in front of Ron.

The two wanted to learn and teach, but they were secretly competing over whether or not to join the navy.

Even so.

But Garp and Ron sometimes drink together at Makino's tavern.

When the two figures, one tall and one short, sat side by side in front of the counter, they certainly attracted a lot of attention.

Makino couldn't help but chuckle whenever she saw the two drunken old men and women sitting at the counter, arms around each other's shoulders, calling each other brothers.

This evening.

After Ron finished training Ace and Luffy, Garp called him to his side.

Ron sat down next to him.

"What are you calling me for?"

Wearing a floral shirt, Garp sat cross-legged beside him, his usual smile gone, and said to Ron in a serious tone:

"Ron, I'd like to know why you don't want to be a Marine. Is it really because of Sabo?"

“I suppose so,” Ron said softly. “To me, the Navy’s so-called justice is more like a heavy shackle. Justice and evil in this world can no longer be represented or distinguished by the Navy and pirates.”

"Well said. I didn't expect you to have such insights at such a young age."

Garp took out a rice cracker from his pocket. "Want some rice cracker?"

Ron reached out his hand.

Karp reluctantly handed him a piece.

The two of them started eating rice crackers together.

As Garp ate, he said, "Every Marine has a sense of justice they want to protect. Everyone is different; some are stubborn, some are rigid, but overall they are good. However, among pirates, only a small portion are special; the vast majority of pirates are wicked people who have committed countless evil deeds!"

Kaka.

Garp crunched on a senbei (rice cracker), then turned to Ron and said, "I'm also furious about Sabo's situation. I know those Celestial Dragons are all trash. But I'm powerless to do anything about it. Because those trashy Celestial Dragons are standing on the edge of order. If they break that order, the whole world will descend into chaos, unleashing a storm that will overturn everything, and even a small place like Windmill Town won't be spared."

"But I hope that things can change in the future, and that the young navy can change things, instead of letting pirates break the rules of order and cause a chaotic storm that will overturn the world."

Karp's gaze toward Ron became incredibly serious.

“Ron, you have great potential, more potential than anyone I have ever seen. Your future is immeasurable. I sincerely hope that you will become the hand that drives change in the world in the future.”

"So, join the Navy!"

Ron lowered his head and ate the rice cracker, remaining silent for a long time.

"Whether or not I join the navy will be a decision I make based on what I see with my own eyes."

"What do you mean?"

He looked up at Garp, grinned, and said something that left Garp stunned.

Does the Navy recruit trainees?

38. The Warring States Marshal Could Not Stay Calm (2/5)

A month later.

Navy Headquarters.

Malinvando.

"A naval...intern?"

The Warring States period was somewhat taken aback.

Do we have interns in the Navy?

"Pirate ships have trainees, why don't the Navy?"

Garp, dressed in a naval justice robe, sat to the side, eating a donut as he said, "That's what that kid said."

"Nonsense! Do you think our navy is like those pirates?"

"Warring States period was furious," said Zhan Guo.

"Warring States Period, does this mean you disagree?"

Karp narrowed his eyes.

Sengoku looked at Garp with an expression of utter disbelief: "Of course we disagree! How could our Navy possibly create an unprecedented Navy trainee program just for a 10-year-old child?! Garp, have you lost your mind?"

Garp stuffed a donut into his mouth, glancing sideways at Sengoku behind the table, and said, "I even said a lot of good things about the Navy to that kid. If he doesn't join the Navy from now on, Sengoku, you'd better not regret it later."

"I regret it? As the Fleet Admiral, have you ever regretted a single decision I made?"

Sengoku stood up and slammed his fist on the table, angrily yelling at Garp, "And you, you're just sitting around doing nothing all day! You don't even bother catching pirates, and you only have ten days of vacation, but you insist on going back to see your grandson for a whole month. Now you want to change the Navy's rules for some brat who suddenly appears, and start some kind of intern program like the pirates..."

Garp picked his nose and said, "Nothing major happened while I was away."

Sengoku was furious. He rushed out from behind the table, snatched the donuts from Garp's hand, and ate them all.

"Ugh, my donuts... Sengoku, you bastard!"

Karp stared at the empty bag and clenched his fist.

"Hurry up and catch the pirates, Vice Admiral Garp."

Zhan Guo glanced at him sideways and said.

"You're using your military rank to intimidate people, aren't you?"

"Isn't it okay?"

Their eyes met.

Garp snorted and strode toward the door.

Before stepping out the door, he stopped and glanced back at the Warring States period behind the table:

“I had a fight with that kid Ron.”

"Oh? So?"

The Warring States period didn't even raise his head.

“So I know his strength.” Garp picked his nose with his finger and said, “He’s not a Devil Fruit user, but his strength is definitely not inferior to Smoker, the Logia Devil Fruit user who just graduated from the Naval Academy this year.”

Sengoku, who was about to process the documents, suddenly stood up from behind the desk, staring at Garp in shock:

"Garp, what did you just say?"

Didn't you hear what I said?

Garp picked his nose, turned around and glanced at Sengoku, who looked completely shocked, and chuckled. "What's wrong? Getting old and your hearing isn't working well anymore?"

"You mean that kid's strength is no less than Smoker's?!"

Sengoku, unable to banter with Garp at this moment, asked anxiously.
