The Shadow Puppet, on the other hand, possesses a divine status and has been fully enhanced, so it is now in its complete form.

Even in its complete form, it lacks consciousness; it is like a fully sharpened weapon that belongs to itself.

However, as Roland placed his consciousness into the Shadow Puppet, he felt a distinct flow of memories.

This is nothing harmful; it's just some fragmented images.

Roland also saw this in these images.

Why is the Dragon's Shadow a three-headed dragon's shadow? Where did his identity as the Shadow Emperor and his role in the final human trial come from? And what is the origin of the simulated star map on his body?

At that moment, Roland saw the answers to the questions that had been troubling him.

....

193. The Origin of Simulated Innovation Maps

At first, Roland thought that the memory reversal was stored on the Shadow Puppet, and he was worried for a while. However, after he actually confirmed the origin of the memory reversal, he found that the memory was not stored on the Shadow Puppet.

These memories seem to come from the identity of the Shadow Emperor, and are things that this identity should know—but only the shadow can receive them.

Therefore, Roland did not receive it when his consciousness was within himself.

When his consciousness entered the body of the shadow puppet, he received the memory back through the shadow's body.

The initial part of this memory rewind was introducing Roland to the identity of the Shadow Emperor.

This identity was not created by a powerful being, but formed spontaneously.

The idea is that there should be an emperor for the shadows, so when the position of emperor becomes vacant, one is randomly selected from all the shadows, and that shadow becomes the shadow emperor.

Roland's shadow is the chosen king of shadows.

Moreover, he wasn't chosen after he arrived in the Type-Moon world; from the moment he was born, his shadow was the Shadow Emperor.

However, just as Roland could only perceive slight emotions when sensing these shadows, the shadows' emotions and consciousness were very faint, making them a kind of creature that Roland could not even fully understand or describe.

So even if his shadow is the Shadow Emperor, it won't actually affect anything.

Logically, his shadow should have disappeared with Roland's death, cremation, and burial into the earth, never to see the light again, and then the identity of Shadow Emperor should have been randomly given to other shadows.

But just as Roland's shadow was chosen as the Shadow King, a major crisis occurred in the world where the shadows lived.

During the memory rewind, Roland was able to see the scenes from a God's-eye view.

So he saw something that looked like the fragment of the world where the White Yaksha was stored, which Alaya and Gaia had shown him before, fall into the world where the shadows were.

Then, after an unknown amount of time and without knowing what happened, the fragments shattered, and the three-headed dragon, Azdaka, emerged from within!

Because of the different worlds they inhabit, Azdakarha only gained the right to move freely, with most of his abilities restricted. Even so, his deliberate destruction still caused a terrifying catastrophe to the world where his shadow resided!

The shadows have weak consciousness; even if they are eaten by the three-headed dragon, they will not resist or even try to escape.

However, the world where the shadows live has a world will!

Since the world's will cannot directly interfere with anything, it sent the Shadow Emperor to lead the shadows to defeat the three-headed dragon.

Then, under the leadership of the Shadow King, an incredibly terrifying war broke out!

This war was extremely brutal.

Even though the three-headed dragon has been weakened, the shadows still have a hard time contending with him.

However, the three-headed dragon ultimately failed.

After all, it was severely restricted, unable to use most of its abilities, and was targeted by the world's will and the Shadow Emperor, who was practically the world's beloved son. This was inevitable.

But the three-headed dragon's record is also terrifying.

It erased countless shadows, and it also shattered the world in which those shadows lived!

Before the world's will died, it released all the shadows from that world, allowing them to find their masters and merge with them, instead of remaining in the soon-to-be-destroyed shadow world.

It was at that time that the shadows merged with their master, rather than living in the world of shadows and leaving a projection on the master.

That's why Roland was able to sense that all the shadows in the world were alive after he awakened his identity as the Shadow Emperor; otherwise, Roland would have been able to sense that all the shadows in the world were projections.

Furthermore, the world's will and the Shadow Emperor pieced the broken world together and, based on the three-headed dragon's restricted ability called the Simulated Star Chart, created a brand new Simulated Star Chart!

The moment the simulated star map was formed, that world completely disappeared, and the world's will also died completely.

The Shadow Emperor, Roland's shadow, learned a lot from the World Will when fighting the three-headed dragon. With the help of the simulated creation star map, he developed his own consciousness and ideas.

But the world of the shadow was destroyed, and it also had to merge with its master, Roland. So after much deliberation, it divided itself into four parts and modified them before merging.

First is the Shadow King, which is Roland's shadow—the Shadow Puppet.

Then there is the non-human part, which also represents the shadow outside of human form—the Shadow Wolf.

Next comes the martial arts aspect, which also involves shadow warriors created from the corpse of a three-headed dragon whose shadow has been removed.

Finally, there is the aspect of wisdom, which is also a shadow created by simulating the will of a dead world—the Shadow Mage.

The Shadow Emperor sealed its four parts within the simulated Star Chart, and then, following the final command of the world's will, merged with its master, Roland, just like the other shadows.

After merging with Roland, unlike the other shadows, the Shadow King, now conscious, observed for a period of time before making a decision.

Now that all the shadows have merged with their master, the Shadow King feels he needs to take on the responsibilities of the Shadow King in this new environment.

But as a shadow, there's very little it can do in this world—after merging with Roland, it can't even move freely!

So it observed Roland for a long time and, after confirming that Roland was someone it could entrust with its mission, it completely erased its own consciousness. Under these circumstances, everything about it was inherited by Roland, the master who could move freely in the new world.

The Shadow Emperor's identity, power, the simulated star map, and the owner of the four shadow familiars sealed within the simulated star map directly became Roland, along with some of the three-headed dragon's legacy. Therefore, these powers led to Roland's time travel!

Because all shadows merge with their masters, every world has shadow beings, and the existence of the Shadow Emperor is generally accepted.

Therefore, Roland's ability to create identities in other worlds comes from this.

His ability to grant identities to two other people is also the position the world has reserved for the Shadow Emperor's guards.

It was their shadows, not them, who were truly qualified.

As for its other functions, these are the capabilities of this simulated star map pieced together from fragments of the shadow world.

After witnessing these memory replays, Roland finally understood the origin of his simulated star-creating map and how he acquired these identities!

Asking for flowers

Roland now understands most of the mysteries that were previously unsolved.

The most important part that is still unclear is this simulated star map, or rather, the name of the world where that shadow is located.

Only if Roland knows this name and fully masters this simulated star map can he unfold it and use its cosmology to fight against his enemies.

He tried several methods related to shadows, but the simulated star map did not react at all.

Roland was not surprised by this.

After all, if one wants to know the name of that world, one must know what kind of life form the shadows are, and then judge what kind of world they would live in based on their habits... But Roland really didn't know this.

Shadows are such peculiar creatures.

Born into a fixed world, with weak consciousness, neither moving nor communicating, yet still alive, and born with a master, with its own projection existing within that master, capable of emerging and merging with the master at crucial moments...

If it weren't for this memory re-entry, Roland would find it hard to imagine any creature being like this!

If he hadn't awakened his identity as the Shadow Emperor, he wouldn't have been able to sense them at all. Moreover, the fact that his shadow erased its own will and completely merged with him shows that the shadows must have been subject to immense limitations in the world they lived in, resulting in the limited and scarce things they could do!

The freedom brought by these shadow abilities only truly came into play after they were inherited by oneself.

The dream I had about the Dark Six Kings was probably my subconscious desire for that outcome, and then the four shadow familiars representing me completed the judgment on the Dark Six Kings!

The fact that it appears in such a vague and unstable form as a dream is probably proof that my understanding of the simulated star chart is incomplete.

Thinking of this, Roland breathed a sigh of relief.

His current progress in awakening his divine status is [3/6].

Judging from his current progress in controlling the simulated star chart, it is estimated that once his godhood is fully awakened, he will be able to completely control this simulated star chart.

With that in mind, Roland put his last bit of enhancement points into Gravity Manipulation, raising it from +9 to +10, giving it a second qualitative change and greater output.

Afterwards, Roland calmed himself down and organized the information he had gathered.

There's not much to say about the Emperor of Shadows and his shadows.

However, the information about the world fragment containing the three-headed dragon that had fallen into the shadow world made him think deeply.

After all, what fell into the Type-Moon world appears to be a fragment of the world containing the White Yaksha. If there is only one such fragment, then it could be some kind of accident.

However, a fragment of the world also fell into the Shadow World, containing a three-headed dragon...

Thinking about it this way, could it be that something is wrong with the miniature world?

Just as Roland was pondering this, the God Group System suddenly popped up a notification for him.
