I changed the world.

The door to room 409 on the fourth floor of the inpatient building was pushed open. Zhang Jing, carrying a bag of fruit, peeked in with a smile, and after confirming the person lying on the bed, he walked in, cupped his hands, and said with a smile:
"Sister Yuzhu, it's been a long time."
Lying on the bed was Miao Yuzhu. Compared to how she looked when Wang Ting first met her, her face now had more color and she was in much better condition, but she still looked somewhat sick.
"Hongjian, have a seat." Seeing Zhang Jing come over, Miao Yuzhu smiled and pointed to the chair next to her. Then she complained, "I told you not to come over, it's nothing serious."
“I was free tonight, and when I heard that you were hospitalized, Sister Yuzhu, I came to visit. It didn’t take much trouble at all,” Zhang Jing said with a smile. As he spoke, he placed the bag of fruit he was carrying on Miao Yuzhu’s bedside table. “I brought some jujubes and oranges. I tried them myself, and they were all quite sweet.”
Then he saw Miao Yuzhu pointing to the side with a bitter face. He belatedly turned his head to look and saw that one side of the ward was piled with plastic bags of all sizes, mostly containing various kinds of food, piled up to a height of one person.
"Wow... Sister Yuzhu, you have quite a lot of stuff..." Zhang Jing subconsciously touched his head.
"Several groups of people came this afternoon... Oh, and the neighbors from Jiqingfang also came to visit, bringing me a whole bunch of things. I don't know how they all found out I was hospitalized..."
At this point, Miao Yuzhu's chubby cheeks puffed up: "If you keep feeding me like this... I'm going to die of obesity..."
"Haha, Sister Yuzhu, you're naturally beautiful, how could that be..."
"By the way, Hongjian, how did you know I was hospitalized? Did someone tell you?" Miao Yuzhu asked curiously.
“I don’t know about others, but this was an accident for me. I have a childhood friend who works at the police station, and he mentioned it to me casually while we were having barbecue,” Zhang Jing said.
"Oh right, Sister Yuzhu, I haven't told you yet, I don't live in Jiqingfang anymore, I've moved to Yunshanfang."
“The living environment in Yunshanfang is much better now,” Miao Yuzhu thought for a moment and said, “It seems that you must be doing quite well now.”
"It's alright. I don't work at my previous company anymore, and I'm doing some things I enjoy."
"Being able to do what you love is the best thing."
After chatting for a few more minutes, Zhang Jing noticed that Miao Yuzhu looked tired, so he got up to say goodbye: "Sister Yuzhu, I won't disturb your rest any longer. I'll go now and come see you again when you're feeling better. Get some rest."
Miao Yuzhu didn't try to stop him, and nodded to him with a smile.
Zhang Jing walked out of the room, closed the ward door behind him, and headed straight down the corridor toward the elevator.
He had a rather favorable impression of Miao Yuzhu, though this favorable impression wasn't romantic. Firstly, she had helped him before. Secondly, he held Miao Yuzhu's character in high regard.
Although Zhang Jing himself is a rather self-centered person, neither in his past life nor in this one has he been as enthusiastic about public welfare as Miao Yuzhu, nor has he ever tried to help others or rescue the weak. He also never thought he would become that kind of person.
However, this does not mean that he does not approve of such behavior; it's just that it's too difficult.
Have a compassionate heart and do the deeds of a Bodhisattva. Saving all sentient beings is never an easy thing.
Zhang Jing felt that since he had encountered such a person, he was willing to lend a helping hand in any way he could, because he was happy to see the world become a better place.
Before he could even step out of the corridor, three people emerged from the elevator ahead. Their eyes met and they both paused in surprise. Zhang Jing's expression immediately turned somewhat amused.
"Mr. Zhang, what a coincidence to run into you here!" A bald man in a sharp suit, walking ahead of him, greeted him with an awkward bow. Even the two men beside him, also dressed in black suits, couldn't maintain their initially stern expressions and awkwardly smiled and bowed to Zhang Jing.
"Isn't this Brother Tiger?" The newcomer was Yan Hu, who had once "beat up" Zhang Jing. Even the two people next to Yan Hu looked somewhat familiar to Zhang Jing, probably because they were the same people he had beaten up back then. However, Yan Hu's bald head was too conspicuous, and he didn't even remember the names of the others.
"I wouldn't dare call you that, just call me Ah Hu." Yan Hu adopted a very humble posture, his face full of smiles.
"Alright, we've become friends through this fight. Brother Gui has already told me what happened before, so let's consider it over." After all, Yan Hu had gone to Guicang to apologize and offer compensation. He'd already beaten him, paid the money, and said all the right things, so the matter was considered closed. Zhang Jing had no intention of holding a grudge: "What, are you here to visit a patient?"
"Yes, it's...some business-related." Yan Hu asked cautiously, "Mr. Zhang, are you...visiting a friend?"
"Yes, a friend of mine who is a lawyer was injured and hospitalized, so I came to visit him."
As soon as Zhang Jing finished speaking, Yan Hu and the two men beside him exchanged a glance, their expressions turning somewhat grim.
"What, could it be that your business target this time is..." Zhang Jing frowned slightly. He naturally knew what Yan Hu did, and what good could come from a "business" that was being targeted by the gang?
"Is your friend a lady named Miao Yuzhu?" Yan Hu rubbed his bald head and asked in a low voice.
Zhang Jing nodded, then thought for a moment: "I just saw a teahouse next to the hospital, how about we go there for a drink?"
Yan Hu didn't stand on ceremony and nodded in agreement. So the four of them took the elevator downstairs, left the hospital, and headed towards a teahouse next door...
The teahouse next to the hospital had a rather auspicious name, "Abandoning Illness Teahouse," and its main clientele was the families of patients; the ingredients were only so-so. However, Zhang Jing and his companions hadn't come for the food. They found a private room on the second floor, and the waiter brewed each of them a cup of tea before leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
........................
“Mr. Zhang, I didn’t know that Ms. Miao was your friend before I took this job,” Yan Hu said with a serious expression. “However, now that I know, I will definitely acknowledge your kindness, Mr. Zhang. This job ends here, and we will not touch anything related to Ms. Miao again.”
