The Magic Council may have a mole within it, so it's not entirely trustworthy. The information provided by Serena Pendragon is a timely boon.
I'm currently at the Blind Pig Bar, which is 124 Mark Doug Street. Could you please have them come over?
He pondered for a moment, then wrote down another sentence: "Are there any taboos when dealing with them?"
Serena Pendragon replied quickly: "There's nothing to hide; just normal communication is fine. They're not the type to beat around the bush."
……
Next, Vizet contacted Dumbledore again and wrote down everything that had just happened.
In the distance came the sound of rustling footsteps and voices.
"Looks like we're too late..." one person exclaimed. "Wow, the commotion they caused was really that big!"
One of them said with some disappointment, "Sigh! It's a pity we don't need to do anything; they should have solved all the problems by now."
Another person asked doubtfully, "I remember there's a giant here, right? Is he really that easy to deal with?"
“We’ll know once we confirm,” a deep, hoarse voice said. “Mr. Wizette Lovegood, are you here?”
“Serena Pendragon told us about you, so we came over… We’re from Ohio…”
"Zombie Float!" Vizet waved his wand, causing the unconscious goblin to float behind him. "I'm here."
At the entrance stood a group of tall wizards, who couldn't help but be curious as they looked at the large, dark bubble behind Vizette.
"Two people... took down a giant?"
"Unbelievable... Even if we were to use civets to deal with leopard cats, we'd need several of them together..."
"That's more like it! Otherwise, Serena wouldn't have made us listen to him!"
……
The elderly wizard at the head of the group stepped forward and extended his hand to Vizette. "Hello, I am Scott Tritopus."
Vizette was somewhat surprised, noticing the claw marks on the old wizard's hand. "Mr. Tritopus... hello!"
“Serena says you know a lot,” Tritops smiled slightly. “If you’ve been to Central Park, you should know about the signs there.”
"The wizard who cast the swelling spell on the cat-like creature was the former head of our family. We had originally planned to open up this market... but unfortunately, we were targeted by the Magic Congress."
"Can I understand it this way?" Vizette pondered, "Your family's Inflation Charm is different from the ordinary Inflation Charm; it can indeed enhance the cat-like creature, giving it the ability to guard the house?"
“It also requires the use of potions; it’s a complete service.” Tritops laughed. “At least in Ohio, our business is thriving.”
"The pure-blood families here in New York are worried that we'll steal their business, so they've resorted to some underhanded tactics... Let's get back to business! Is there anything we can help with? Just let us know!"
“Then I’ll get straight to the point!” Vizette decided to get straight to the point. “The Appaloosa family is probably planning something, and I hope you can get through it…”
He pointed to the goblins behind him, “Get all these things out of us, and it would be best to find out the current head of the Appaloosa family… I have a friend who was wrongly accused because of this, and I need to help him clear his name.”
“You came to me… I think it’s because the Magical Congress isn’t trustworthy.” Tritopus frowned slightly. “So what’s next? How do you plan to handle it?”
“The Magic Congress is not trustworthy… but the International Wizarding Federation is.” Vizette smiled slightly. “I happen to know someone who can handle this matter through him.”
"You really have a lot of connections!" Tritops exclaimed in surprise. "In that case, leave the matter to us!"
Vizette added, "By the way! If you find the current head of the Appaloosa family, I hope you can get him to talk and find out about the werewolves' whereabouts."
Tritops nodded. "No problem!"
Chapter 89 Ready
The following day at noon, Wizette received a message from Scott Tritops that the current head of the Appaloosa family had been arrested.
When Wizette arrived at the Woolworth Building, Scott Tritops also happened to arrive.
Tritops walked up to Vizette and said, "This is Appaloosa family territory, so it took a little longer to capture the person you wanted."
"Serena told us to listen to you, and we're just playing the role of strikers... so what we need to do next is up to you to decide!"
Vizette nodded. His special status as a Guardian meant that he would have to do this sooner or later.
Tritops asked, "Are those Appaloosa family members all in the alley over there? Are we going to go in together and scare them at the Magic Council, or what?"
“A show of force?” Vizette looked into the distance. “I think the name of ‘intervention by the International Wizarding Federation’ is already enough to have a deterrent effect.”
"Since we need to rely on the International Wizarding Federation, we should be more discreet and avoid arousing suspicion from those around us... Just bring the Appaloosa family members in."
“Okay! I’ll go tell them.” Tritops nodded and disappeared into the crowd.
……
No sooner had Scott Tritops left than Babajid Akinbad appeared before Wizette.
Akinbad was dressed very formally, in a deep black robe with a medal pinned to his chest;
The medal design consists of the letters "I", "C", and "W", which are the initials of the International Confederation of Wizards.
The main body is shaped like a balance scale, with a ribbon wrapped around the top, inside which is the full name of the International Confederation of Wizards.
Akinbad whispered a few words to the wizards next to him, who were wearing the same medals;
They nodded to Akinbad, then orderly squeezed through the revolving door and were the first to enter the Magic Council.
Akinbad walked up to Vizet and said very directly, "Chairman Dumbledore has spoken to me."
"You are in charge of the rest. If you need any help from me, please let me know."
“Okay!” Vizet replied, not too surprised by the response.
If only one side expresses such a desire, coordination problems may arise. Now that both sides are taking similar measures, it is easier to handle the follow-up matters.
……
Vizette entered the Magic Council again through the large revolving door.
The atmosphere was noticeably more tense today compared to the last time I was here.
Many guards appeared at the front desk, ready to fight. They drew their wands in unison, their eyes filled with tension and doubt.
The Tritops family wizards had already taken their positions, forming a circle around the captured people.
Many wizards who came to handle business stopped in their tracks, no longer talking to their companions, but instead settled into comfortable positions, leaning against the railings and looking around the hall with curious eyes.
Only the owl was still working diligently, and in order to remind the recipient to take the letter, it had to poke the back of the recipient's hand with its beak.
Tritopus and the members of the International Confederation of Wizards all turned their heads slightly, focusing their gazes on Vizette.
"This is the Magic Congress, so many people are gathered here..." a hoarse voice rang out.
The guards made way for a tall wizard to step forward.
The wizard looked to be in his fifties, with wrinkles and scars from magical burns on his face.
His brows furrowed with obvious displeasure, and his sharp gaze swept over the crowd. "What are you planning to do?"
The wizard stopped in his tracks, and the other wizards immediately greeted him respectfully, "Mr. Grevis!"
Akinbad introduced, "This is Mr. Liam Grevis, the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."
He then extended his hand and introduced Wizette to Liam Grevis.
Wizette did have some recollection of the surname "Grevis";
When Gellert Grindelwald infiltrated the Magical Congress in search of the Obscurials, he used Transfiguration to impersonate Percival Grevis, the then-Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
Among the twelve Aurors initially recruited by the Magic Congress were members of the Grevis family, which gave them considerable influence within the Magic Congress.
……
Looking at Akinbad's gesture and glancing at the Litops family beside him, Grevis raised his eyebrows and walked up to Wizette.
He walked up to Vizette, lowered his head, and said arrogantly, "It's quite surprising that they all listen to you... What are you planning to do?"
Without flinching, Vizette calmly stated, "Make a request and explain the crisis you are about to face."
"A crisis we face?" Grevis murmured, turning to glance at the large clock in mid-air.
The hands of the clock still point to "zero threat," as if it will not waver in the slightest.
Seeing the smirk on Grevis's lips, Vizette asked, "Mr. Grevis, do you know when the Animagus International Symposium will begin?"
“With such a large-scale operation, it’s impossible for me not to know.” Grevis glanced at Akinbad. “It’s this afternoon…”
“You were planning to host a dinner tonight… but now it seems that you might not only be unable to attend the seminar, but you might also be unable to participate in the dinner.”
“Indeed.” Vizette nodded. “A banquet can easily make people lower their guard. If a werewolf suddenly appears, it could cause very serious casualties.”
"Werewolf?" Grevis realized, his brows furrowing as if he were calculating something. "It is indeed the day of the full moon... What exactly are you planning to say?"
“What I’m saying is…” Vizette turned slightly and clapped her hands at the people of Tritops, “The Appaloza family has gathered werewolves in an attempt to create chaos.”
Two men from Tritopus came out, and they took the arm of a wizard and walked behind Vizette.
That was the current head of the Appaloosa family, who had already been knocked unconscious by Tritopus's men.
“Hayden Appaloosa?” Grevis took out his wand, bent down, and carefully examined the unconscious wizard. “His true form is revealed!”
“If it were me, I would do the same if I saw a dead person appear.” This time it was Vizette’s turn to look down at Grevis. “Oh, right! We also have a fairy friend…”
He clapped his hands again and said, "The fairies have set up many anti-theft measures in Gringotts, one of which is called 'Thief-proof Waterfall'."
“This method works very well and can wash away the effects of the compound decoction. Would you like to try it? It would be safer to make sure that the Hayden Appaloosa in front of us is the real Hayden Appaloosa.”
