He didn't know what to say, and after a long while, he finally said:

"Uncle Shuo Mao told me to tell you this before he left."

"He died protecting his comrades and guarding the village."

"You are the son of a hero."

After Haneda finished speaking, he fell silent again.

Recalling Uncle Shuo Mao standing in front of him, turning back with a smile, tears welled up in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed them.

"I understand, Haneda..."

"My condolences and acceptance."

Kakashi offered a soft word of comfort.

The comforting words beside him felt like a painful blow to Haneda's chest, shattering his last line of defense.

Tears streamed down her cheeks and dripped from her chin.

He tried to control it, but to no avail.

"Kakashi, let me be alone for a while."

"It's a hoarse voice," Haneda said.

After a moment, Kakashi patted Haneda on the shoulder:

"Okay, take care."

"Remember to go home early and don't stay up late."

Kakashi glanced back at Haneda's retreating figure before walking alone towards home.

A tear soaked his black mask.

How could he not be saddened by his father's death?

He just didn't want to show it in front of Haneda.

Haneda still stands quietly in front of the tombstone.

As the moon rose, a mature and composed-looking man walked over, leading a child.

"Haneda, the wind is chilly at night, be careful not to catch a cold."

Fugaku took off his coat and draped it over Haneda's shoulders.

"I've heard about what happened to Senior Sakumo."

“I understand how you feel, but if you do this... he would feel heartbroken watching from the other side.”

Looking at the silent cemetery, and recalling the sorrow of the people after the war, Itachi asked softly:

"Dad, why do people die, and what is the meaning of life?"

"Grandpa was like that, and so was Haneda's teacher."

Upon hearing this, Fugaku remained silent for a moment, then said:

"To allow the new leaves to sprout."

"One against seven, that's something adults should be thinking about."

Hearing Fugaku and Itachi's conversation, Haneda understood something.

He glanced at Fugaku, then at Itachi, and said in a low voice:

"War will result in death, and conflict will erupt from contradictions."

"The meaning of life lies in how one chooses to live and in doing so."

Haneda didn't explain much, ruffled Itachi's hair, and left the cemetery.

Itachi thought for a moment, then asked Fugaku:

Was Grandpa like that too?

Fugaku recalled his father's irritating admonitions and the image of his father's retreating figure, and replied in a low voice:

"Yes, he's always been like that."

After saying that, Fugaku felt a lump in his throat, his nose felt congested, and he couldn't breathe.

But remembering his father's instructions, he forced back his tears of sadness, and his face became even more mature.

Fugaku inherited the position of Uchiha clan leader; he cannot cry.

…………

The Uchiha clan compound was even more deserted than usual at night, with almost no one on the streets.

The lonely streetlights emitted a faint light, barely illuminating the street.

Haneda walked down the dimly lit street, and unconsciously stopped at a corner.

On the other side of the corner is Obito's house.

He once promised here that he would bring Obito back, but he failed to do so.

He poked his head out and quietly peered around the corner.

Obito's grandmother sat in front of the door, her gaze fixed on the street, as if waiting for something.

Haneda had barely poked his head out when he was spotted.

"Koyuda, come in and have a seat."

Grandma smiled and waved to Haneda.

Seeing this, Haneda hesitated for a moment before walking out from around the corner.

Looking at his kind grandmother, he went from being a stranger to becoming familiar with her.

"Grandma, I've seen you hiding in the cemetery all day. Are you hungry?"

As soon as Haneda walked in, his grandmother came out of the kitchen carrying food.

Some of the dishes had gotten cold, so Grandma took them back, reheated them, and put them back on the table.

Haneda originally didn't have much of an appetite, but the aroma of food and familiar smells made his stomach rumble.

At that moment, Grandma placed a glass of orange juice in front of Yuda.

Seeing all the food and drinks he liked on the table, Haneda understood something.

The food being fed into his mouth became choked with sobs.

The sweetness of the orange juice couldn't mask the bitterness in my throat.

Grandma already knew that Obito was "dead".

She stayed in the cemetery, watching herself hiding behind a tree, unable to face Kakashi...

Chapter 167 Changing the World

Noticing that Haneda was eating with his head down, unlike his usual self, Grandma comforted him:

"Xiao Yutian, no matter what pain you encounter, you must live happily."

"Grandma has lived for several decades, hasn't she?"

Grandma started laughing as she talked.

She sat at one side of the dining table, watching Haneda eat, and at that moment, Obito's figure overlapped with Haneda's.

After the meal, Grandma grabbed the bowls and chopsticks and took them into the kitchen.

Before leaving, she didn't forget to give the instructions:

"Xiao Yutian, remember to go to bed early when you get back, don't stay up late."

Remember to be happy tomorrow too.

"Okay." Yu Tian smiled and closed the door.

The dimly lit streets became much brighter at this moment, as the clouds that had been obscuring the moon in the sky had left.

Back home, Haneda had nothing to do.

He remembered Kakashi and his grandmother's instructions and, thinking not to stay up late, washed up and went to bed.

He tried to fall asleep, but memories of Obito and Sakumo from the past kept assaulting his mind.

The more you sleep, the more energetic you become.

Haneda looked at the ceiling, then turned his eyes to the side and looked at the group photo of himself with Obito, Sakumo, and Kakashi on the table.

He got out of bed and looked out the window at the moon.

If the plot unfolds well, Obito will awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan and execute the Eye of the Moon Plan.

Remembering the image of her grandmother sitting in front of the door, looking expectantly at the street, Yu Tian secretly clenched his fist.

He made up his mind to bring Otto home.
