Davidian's Holy Grail War

A sword sheath? It's actually inside Irisviel's body?
"Alright, alright, let's go back to the Inner Sea. Merlin is waiting for you." With that, Davidan tossed the thing into the air. Avalon turned into a golden speck of light and returned to the Inner Sea. To be honest, nothing could be kept from him now.
"Was that... the scabbard of the Holy Sword? The one that, according to legend, allows the wielder to remain in peak condition forever?"
Kenneth and Tokiomi were utterly astonished. They had truly broadened their horizons today, seeing so many things. And each and every one of them was an absolute treasure, possessing indispensable significance to the world.
"But for you, Kiritsugu Emiya, I have some advice for you: give up your dream."
I don't mean you're foolish; your desire for world peace is justified.
I agree with that aspect of yours. But to try and accomplish it in such a convenient way would be to tarnish the very concept of humanity.
One day in the future, when humanity can truly understand each other and break free from the constraints of gravity, perhaps your dream will come true.
Kiritsugu's eyes showed a hint of dejection. If even such a being said that this was something that the human race itself had to accomplish and that could not be done by shortcuts...
"Cherish the happiness you have now, Kiritsugu Emiya. That's all I can say." With that, David and the King vanished together in a dark, twisting motion.
After Davidian left, the others finally breathed a sigh of relief. Although his attitude was good, the sense of oppression he exuded was indeed too strong. To be honest, most people wouldn't want to be in the same space as Davidian now.
"You must be Tokiomi Tohsaka? How about we spar a bit sometime? It's a rare opportunity to meet, isn't it?" Kenneth's attitude towards Tokiomi was quite polite, after all, he was the host of the Holy Grail War. According to Kenneth's original plan, he should have had a proper match with Tokiomi.
Upon seeing the visitor, Tokiomi returned the courtesy gracefully, and then said, "It is a great honor for me to have the twelve monarchs of the Mage's Association remember my name. I am Kenneth El-Melloi Archibald, the monarch of Kishua. Please do visit my humble abode when you have time; I will have my wife bring out her treasured black tea as a welcome gift."
Kenneth said it was truly an honor, then looked at Webber. Webber was looking miserable, and after a helpless sigh, Kenneth called him over.
“Weber… since you’re already here, make this an important experience for the rest of your life. What is magic? What is a magician? Since you’ve come all this way, let me, as your teacher, demonstrate it for you.”
The Servants were sizing each other up at this moment. After all, they had come all this way, so it would be a shame not to have a little competition, wouldn't it?
Chapter 488 Appeal
Of course, David didn't care what the others wanted to do or what they would actually do.
He and Artoria were embracing and kissing. Even though they had been together in the Inner Sea of Stars just moments before, their reunion in this place was enough to ignite their passion.
When their lips parted, it was Artoria who spoke first: "You're really domineering, becoming my Master so easily. What? You think you can be my master now?"
These seemingly teasing words, however, made David feel a slight pang of shame at this moment. Every time he was with the King, his mindset was off. He didn't act like an old man with thousands of years of life experience; instead, he seemed like a young man just starting out.
“I cannot give your Command Seals to Kiritsugu Emiya. I cannot imagine that someone like him might go to extremes. If I were to duel with you, I would feel as if my heart were being torn apart.”
After Davidan said that, Artoria smiled and kissed him hard again before asking him what his mindset was like in the Lostbelt of Britain. Had he really gone completely insane?
"You actually used the power of the Evil King Dragon that you used to kill Lancelot on me. This is a serious crime and you should be punished properly." As Artoria spoke these words, a pair of soft hands had already climbed onto her chest.
"My sister, now do you think who can punish whom?" Morgan's hand exerted force gently. At this moment, Artoria was completely surprised; this was an outcome she had never expected.
She turned her head, and then Morgan did something that completely surprised her. She kissed her fiercely, a moment that neither Davidian nor Artoria could comprehend, let alone what was happening.
"It's no longer just a voice, but a personal arrival. Sister, you..."
"Where he is, I will always be there. I even arrived before you. My sister."
This sight made David's blood boil! This was a scene he never dared to dream of. Even with omniscience and omnipotence, he had never imagined such a scene!
Morgan then gave Davian a look that was both seductive and devilish. Artoria looked over, and her gaze stunned Davian.
It was the same temptation, but not the temptation of a demon. She was Artoria, and with just one glance, she made Davian's eyes bloodshot.
She allowed it.
He hugged both of them at the same time, and Artoria suddenly realized... Oh no, she seemed to be sandwiched between two people.
One night, Davidian did not stop. In the early morning, he lay on his side, with Morgan lying on his side behind him, gently stroking his firm chest with one hand, while Artoria lay on her side in front of him.
“It’s no joke to say you’re licentious. You’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, haven’t you?” Morgan teased him from behind. David Andrew’s face turned red with embarrassment. He had never really thought of it before.
Artoria laughed too. Was this considered debauchery? Would he have thought about such things when he was alive? Anyway, he's a Servant now, so it doesn't matter.
"Sister, you really are..." Artoria didn't know what Morgan's mindset was now, or rather, Morgan's mindset was always the most difficult for her to understand.
But looking at Morgan's dazzling blonde hair, she felt incredibly strange. It was like looking at a clone of herself... no, another version of herself.
“I have it back, Artoria. What was taken from me has returned to me.”
Artoria understood with a simple reply that everything between them seemed to be over. The Lostbelts of Britain truly held a special significance; at least, they had filled the void in the hearts of some.
Huh? You're saying Davidian suffered for two thousand years? Ha, he had to go through it; this is the consequence of getting involved with a bad woman.
"Alright, get up, brush your teeth, wash up, and have breakfast. There has to be a limit to how much you can mess around, right?" David's routine was beyond change, just like Artoria's.
Morgan was the one who would occasionally sleep in; she often studied magic until late at night, so David Ann would usually prepare breakfast for her.
The group took turns washing up, with Davidian going first. Meanwhile, Artoria chatted lightly with Morgan outside, saying things that surprised both of them.
After all, no one could have predicted this situation before what happened last night. Morgan acted impulsively, while Artoria simply gave in without bothering to resist.
Suddenly, however, Morgan began to talk about the past, things she had never told Artoria before:
“I used to wonder, why? Why are some people born with everything, while those things that were meant for me are taken away by someone else? Is it just because I wasn’t chosen by the world? So glory, islands, and even the most important thing, love, can’t stay with me.”
“I don’t want to accept any of this. I can’t accept this world. I was determined to get Britain, even if it meant the world would go dark. I hate David, I hate you, I hate Merlin, I hate everything.”
“I understand that you didn’t do those things because you coveted that glory or Britain. I understand that David chose you for me, but I, but I…”
Artoria listened silently, perhaps at this moment she felt more like an older sister. Or perhaps it was because, compared to Morgan, her life was much "happier".
She understood that Morgan didn't hate her for who she was; it wasn't for any personal reason, but simply because of their positions. She also understood David's stubborn thinking; upon learning of the world's choice and the ultimate fate resulting from following Morgan, he shouldered that responsibility.
Davidian had a responsibility to himself, to the King, and to Morgan. If he had chosen Morgan from the very beginning, choosing his own selfish love, then what difference would he have made from Melyuchina? He would have completely betrayed everything, including the love in his heart.
Artoria gently pulled Morgan into her arms, embracing him completely. Perhaps this was a reconciliation between the three of them; the hatred had vanished entirely.
What? You mean what about the hatred between you and Merlin? Ha, Merlin, he's already in heaven.
But a short while later, Morgan suddenly sensed that something was wrong.
How come she's so big? Bigger than me? Wait, something's not right. How can she be bigger than me? Morgan couldn't understand!
"Alright, alright, you two, it's your turn. Hurry up and come out to wash up and have breakfast. Are you hungry?"
To be honest, David had been watching the two of them hug for a while, but it was time to go out for breakfast anyway. They could talk about the girls' affectionate gestures later.
Chapter 489 Let's all have a meal together
Finally, the three of them left the hotel together. Artoria was wearing Morgan's casual clothes. It was barely wearable; Artoria felt they were a bit tight, so she would have to go shopping with Morgan later, since there were still two days left.
Since it was all Tokiomi's money anyway, Davidian didn't care. In fact, he thought he had done a good thing this time, which was better than everyone fighting a pointless and useless Holy Grail War and dying.
So after breakfast, Davidian sat on the soft sofa watching the King casually pick out clothes. Fortunately, the King wouldn't ask her which outfit looked better; after all, she was confident that with her natural beauty, she would look good in anything.
Morgan sat beside Artoria, sipping her milk tea, watching her change as if she were watching herself change. This was a novel experience for her; she'd never had anything like it before.
"Oh? You're here? That's quite a surprise." The familiar voice made David turn around, and Gilgamesh was standing there. By now, Gilgamesh had already swiped his card, and David could roughly guess that the guy had already paid for them.
Anyway, he didn't feel any psychological pressure. After all, he had helped Gilgamesh a lot back then, hadn't he?
“Of course, King Arthur buying and changing clothes is a rare sight, isn’t it?” As soon as Gilgamesh opened his mouth, David and Morgan had already looked over.
"Hero King, you rascal, every time I try to show you some respect, you have to speak up. Alright, get out of here."
Gilgamesh didn't say anything and quickly left the clothing store. When Artoria came out, she asked Davian who he had been talking to. Davian casually replied that he had been talking to the Muggle who had paid for their purchase and that he had already sent him away.
Artoria had already changed into a decent set of casual clothes. After all, it was just everyday wear, and she didn't really care about anything else. As long as it was comfortable, she didn't care about anything else.
The three planned to while away the next few pleasant days. The day after tomorrow, Davidian intended to dismantle the Holy Grail, and then everything would be over. He would return to where he belonged, and the others wouldn't need to stay there anymore.
What? You're asking why he doesn't cherish the peaceful time he spends with the King and Morgan in this world?
Ha, why don't you ask Davidan, who's currently in the Inner Sea of Stars and whispering sweet nothings to Artoria, what he's thinking?
"Yo~ I've been looking for you guys for ages, King of Knights, Lord Camelot... Hmm? Why is there another one?" Iskandar walked towards them, wearing a white T-shirt with a strategy game logo. David and the other two didn't know what to say; he really was very well adapted to modern life.
“Iskandar the Conqueror, this is Morgan Sleirick, he is my… ugh ugh ugh ugh!” Davidian couldn’t finish his sentence before Artoria pinched his waist hard.
He was about to blurt out something he shouldn't have. Artoria might not mind joining in their foolish antics, but she would absolutely not accept it if Davidan introduced Morgan like that to others.
After learning Morgan's identity, Iskandar couldn't help but say, "Morgan, the one from Britain... I'm sorry, but to be able to manifest on his own is truly remarkable."
Morgan gave him a slight nod in return, and Iskandar could tell that the man's interest was completely elsewhere. Then he recalled the legends of Britain; it was truly unimaginable that these three could appear together so peacefully.
"Lord, King of Knights, I've spoken with the King of Heroes over there. We'll be hosting a banquet at his Master's house today. Would you be interested in coming?"
This was Iskandar's invitation. David raised an eyebrow. Did he really think he could just have everyone sit on the ground, have a couple of drinks, and talk about the way of kings and then get rid of the banquet?
"Oh dear? You saw right through me?! That's exactly what I was thinking." Iskandar scratched his head sheepishly. Now even Davidian didn't know whether to call him magnanimous or rude.
"It's a real shame to have wine but no meat. I'll have Tokiomi prepare some good ingredients, and I'll cook for you myself."
Upon hearing this, everyone present widened their eyes.
"What! You brat actually cooked yourself! Damn it! Why didn't you say so earlier? I would have gone to buy groceries in a bit!" Gilgamesh appeared out of nowhere, and it was clear that he was genuinely surprised that Davian had personally cooked for him.
Iskandar said he would be looking forward to it, as it would be a great honor to eat Lord Camelot's cooking.
Artoria and Morgan were in the same boat; they hadn't eaten anything cooked by Davidan in a long time since they left Britain. Or rather, Davidan hadn't had many opportunities to cook for them.
However, his culinary skills never declined; in fact, they improved during his 1500-year journey.
Do you understand? You're traveling the world, searching for your king while simultaneously improving your culinary skills.
Davian pulled out a pen and paper from his pocket and wrote a menu for Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh said he would go back and get Hundred-Faced Hassan to go buy the groceries. Anyway, both he and Davian were old acquaintances of King Hassan, and if it really came down to it... Davian could easily drag King Hassan over and treat him to a meal.
