Amosta, with his extensive knowledge and excellent memory, had some guesses about the two opposing sides, but he didn't utter a word and instead silently went to the third mural.

A grand and incredibly brutal war began. Forests were razed to the ground, and the earth was covered with shocking cracks. Lakes as vast as the ocean evaporated completely, and the large stone walls representing the sky were etched with many cracks, as if space itself had been torn apart.

The third stone carving was fairly clear, but Amosta frowned.

"Could Muggle warriors and knights possibly be capable of standing up to such a legendary wizard?"

Amostella was puzzled, but then he suddenly glanced at Gryffindor, who was also looking at the murals with a silver sword at his waist, and his doubts were somewhat relieved.

The fourth mural depicts the outcome of the battle. The witch appears largely unchanged, still floating in mid-air, coldly gazing upon the devastated land littered with blood and Muggle dismemberment. On the ground, the twelve knights who accompanied the warrior are also gone, leaving only the warrior standing alone, leaning on his sword. Behind him, his torn yet still fluttering cloak hints at his unwavering resolve.

Lost in the memory of that war, Amosta had unknowingly reached the center of the stone wall.

In the fifth mural, the warrior's mount has transformed into a winged horse. He rides the winged horse with unwavering determination and fierce determination as he charges toward the witch. The witch, holding aloft a strange staff, has summoned an enormous island that almost fills the entire stone wall, and her gaze is fixed on a distant city-state.

"Island of Avalon"

Amostella squinted and gave his judgment. He had seen the outline of the island from below when he flew to the island with Gryffindor before, and he recognized it easily.

In the fifth mural, there is another very important piece of information. At the junction with the sixth mural, there appears an old wizard with flowing hair and beard, whose figure bears some resemblance to Dumbledore, rushing towards the battlefield.

“Merlin,” Amosta murmured, pursing her lips.

Deep within Knockturn Lane lies a small square, upon which stands a pure white marble statue of Merlin. This statue is the entrance to the Underworld in London, a route Amosta frequently takes, and he is very familiar with Merlin's image.

Without a doubt, the sixth mural depicts Merlin and the warrior fighting the witch together.

The earth churned, and magma surged from the depths of the earth into the sky. Amosta felt as if he were witnessing a 'war of gods' lost in time!

There is another detail in this mural that particularly caught Amosta's attention.

In the previous five murals, the 'jellyfish' at the top of the stone wall remained motionless in the same position. However, in the sixth mural, the outline of the 'jellyfish' seemed to be shaking violently, and about one-tenth of its area had detached from the stone wall and disappeared!

The events depicted in the seventh fresco left Amosta utterly astonished and sharpened the gaze of Gryffindor.

With the combined efforts of Merlin and the warriors, the witch was defeated and fell from the sky onto the island of Avalon, which had descended back to the ground. However, a blurry, shadowy figure, very similar to the one Amosta had seen in the underworld, emerged from her body before the death of the old wizard who had been tricked by the addition of unicorn tail hair.

In the penultimate mural, the 'jellyfish' that had been detaching from the top of the stone wall had completely disappeared. Also gone was the witch, whose strange staff was being held by the 'Grim Reaper' from the previous mural. This equally defeated Grim Reaper was making a throwing motion, as if he wanted to throw the staff in his hand!

Chapter 119 Follow Me

Amosta's emotions rose and fell with the astonishing 'war of the gods' recorded on the stone wall, and when everything faded away, a sense of desolation arose in his heart.

In the last mural, 'Death' is gone, along with the valiant warrior wielding a sword, covered in wounds. Amosta guessed his fate; he too perished in this battle.

In the mural, only Merlin remained. He stood before the temple where Amosta was now, his gaze directed at the 'jellyfish' that had gradually disappeared since the sixth mural. Even from the lines depicting the figure, Amosta could feel the heaviness and desolation surrounding Merlin.

After viewing all nine murals, Amosta stood before the towering stone wall in silence for a long time.

"The world is still whole. Is that what you mean, Mr. Gryffindor?"

After a long while, Amostella raised his head again, looked at Gryffindor who was gazing at Merlin's lonely figure standing in front of the temple, and sighed softly.

Amosta probably understood that long ago, something seemed to exist on the earth, and the severe chain reaction caused by that war caused that thing to detach from the earth.

Considering the continuous decline of the wizarding world over the past one or two thousand years, and how wizards, once revered as gods by Muggles, have gradually fallen to the point where they might even be taken by ordinary Muggles if they are not careful, Amosta has reason to believe that the thing is of vital importance to all wizards.

The nine murals depict the earth-shattering battle, but they do not explain what happened afterward.

What was the fate of that witch, or rather, that 'Grim Reaper'-like wizard? Was she defeated and killed by Merlin?

Where did Merlin go? Could it be that this temple was Merlin's final residence, where he moved the island of Avalon to this hidden space, lived alone, and eventually disappeared into the past?

Amostella shook her head slightly, then turned her gaze to Gryffindor, whose face was etched with a somber expression.

"Something must have happened after that, Mr. Gryffindor, right?"

Amosta's reason for this conjecture is simple: Gryffindor clearly did not stumble into this secret realm by accident. A thousand years ago, the four founding members of Hogwarts must have known some incredible secret and were plotting something together.

Since entering the secret realm and unleashing his magic, the phantom of Gryffindor left in the chaotic timeline immediately appeared, which seems to indicate that this scheme likely involved him as well.

Meanwhile, the prophetic visions of Vitia's teacher, the ancestral priest of the Druid Church, also drew him in. Amosta frowned, feeling a strong sense of crisis as the conspiracy surrounding him enveloped him!

Who is the witch in the mural?

Recalling Muggle mythology, wizarding texts, and the fact that her ability to summon the island of Avalon signified her close ties with the Druids, Amosta settled on a name.

Morgan le Fay, also known as Morgan le Fay, was a legendary black witch.

In ancient texts, she is described as the Queen of Avalon, an enemy of Merlin and King Arthur and their Knights of the Round Table, and the goddess of darkness and death.

Amosta vaguely remembered reading in a magic book that people believed Morgan le Fay was constantly possessed by an evil soul. When he first read this, Amosta thought it was nonsense, but the murals on the stone wall in front of him made him realize that it was probably not entirely unfounded.

Gryffindor ignored the pensive Amostella. After processing the contents of the mural, he simply turned around, easily cleaved through the ruins blocking his path with his silver sword, and headed in a clear direction—the temple's front hall, the very place where Vitia was.

Seeing this, Amosta had no choice but to suppress his doubts, take a deep breath, and quickly follow.

This bizarre journey through the secret realm is nearing its end. On the way forward, Amosta took out several more bottles of magic recovery potions and drank them in large gulps.

His body's capacity to absorb and convert magic was limited, and drinking the magic recovery potion so roughly caused Amosta considerable pain. However, he gritted his teeth and still tried his best to 'digest' the magic in the potion and store it in his 'magic organ', because he was ready to 'meet naked' with that woman, Vitia Kriona, later!

The two arrived at the wall behind the hall; a small door led them into the temple's front hall.

However, Gryffindor and Amosta stopped almost simultaneously.

"A chaotic time domain--"

Gazing at a hazy, spherical space a few steps away through the wall, Amosta's eyes revealed intense apprehension.

He guessed that behind the wall in front of him in the temple's main hall probably lay the 'holy relic' that Vitia Kriona and many modern Druid priests had dreamed of retrieving. He also understood why they had been unable to obtain it for centuries.

Amostella glanced at a stone at her feet, tapped her wand lightly, and the stone slowly floated into the air before suddenly accelerating and rushing into the hazy, distorted time domain, which resembled a giant bubble!

Susu

The rock, which had only penetrated five feet into the dangerous airspace, seemed to have endured thousands of years. In the blink of an eye, it turned into countless specks of dust. Instead of drifting to the ground, the dust remained suspended in mid-air. After a few breaths, its color gradually faded until it disappeared completely!

Amosta's eyes twitched violently, and he felt an urge to curse.

Are you kidding me? !

Was it because the Druidic priests made a mistake with the offerings during divination, or was Vitia a woman with a problem in her mind that led her to misjudge his abilities?

The power of time is untouchable. Since they have witnessed such a dangerous field, what makes them think they have the ability to break through it?

Indeed, Godric Gryffindor might have that ability, but Amosta wasn't confused. The one in front of him was just a phantom recorded by the chaotic timeline that shrouded Avalon Island. Even if Gryffindor broke through the time barrier a thousand years ago, the barrier had been repaired after a thousand years. He wasn't going to be foolish enough to crash into it and end up with nothing but ashes!

Having confirmed that he lacked the ability to break through the time domain, Amosta didn't hesitate for long before turning to leave. The main entrance to the hall should be normal; otherwise, Vitia wouldn't have been able to enter the temple. He planned to enter the front hall from a different direction, give that woman a good beating first, and then interrogate her thoroughly.

As for Gryffindor's next move, Amosta had already anticipated it. Perhaps, like himself, he would be unable to break through the domain, or perhaps he would truly defy the power of time and enter the domain.

But the final result should be that they didn't get anything out of it, that's for sure, otherwise why would those Druids still be so attached to this place for so many centuries?

"Don't be afraid, follow me."

Just as Amosta turned to leave, a slightly solemn voice came from behind him, causing Amosta's pupils to dilate and his whole body to stiffen!

Chapter 120 The Gryffindor Sword and the Staff of the Twin Serpents (Part 1)

Amostella turned around abruptly, staring incredulously at Godric Gryffindor, who was raising his silver sword and facing the Time Domain. Every cell in his body trembled!

How could that be? Was he just hallucinating?!

Amostella scanned the surroundings with a startled look, inch by inch across the somewhat gloomy temple, but after several inspections, he found no clues whatsoever. In the dilapidated room, apart from him and Gryffindor, there were no other hidden wizards.

"Were you speaking to me just now, Mr. Gryffindor?"

His voice became broken and disjointed from shock.

However, Gryffindor, who had shattered Amostella's worldview, suddenly reverted to their previous state, ignoring Amostella's repeated calls. Instead, they held the hilt of their swords with both hands, raised the silver swords high, and remained motionless, seemingly observing the time domain in front of them.

"what is going on"

Amosta, feeling increasingly eerie, gasped and murmured.

"Could it be that Gryffindor was traveling with someone a thousand years ago, and was merely speaking to that person just now? However, that person's strength is far inferior to Gryffindor's, insufficient to interfere with the timeline. No, Gryffindor has never spoken to anyone along the way, it can't be like this."

Amostella's existing knowledge was insufficient to provide a reasonable explanation for his situation. Staring blankly at Gryffindor's retreating figure, he suddenly felt somewhat at a loss.

Swish!

Just as he hesitated, the silver sword in Gryffindor's hand suddenly shone brightly. The straight and sharp silver blade was enveloped by a transparent, water-like magic. It was a strange power that Amostall could not understand, but even across the long river of time, it still gave him a feeling of trepidation.

For Gryffindor, dealing with such intense temporal turbulence was still no easy task. It was like cutting flesh with a dull knife, or like using a rusty saw to cut wood. The sword moved slowly and laboriously, and even Amostella held his breath involuntarily at the sight of the effort it was putting in!

Regardless, Gryffindor did manage to carve out several feet of 'clear space' in the distorted and hazy space. Then, he stepped into the edge of the area that was originally shrouded in the Time Domain and once again raised his longsword and swung it down.

In Amostella's vision, as soon as Gryffindor stepped into the Time Domain, Gryffindor, who had been present since entering the Secret Realm, disappeared, leaving him alone, staring blankly at the suddenly 'flattened' area.

"Did Gryffindor appear in the modern wizarding world, or was I unknowingly transported back a thousand years?"

Neither scenario is possible; this is merely Amosta's wild guess in utter bewilderment.

So, should we go in or not?

Such a situation, which is beyond comprehension and full of danger, should not be taken lightly by a 'proper Slytherin'. However, if one only cares about risks, then Amostella might as well stay at Hogwarts and teach under Dumbledore's nose!

The hesitation in Amostella's eyes faded, replaced by a resolute determination. He gritted his teeth, stood in the same spot where Gryffindor had been, took a deep breath, and stepped into the Time Domain.
